Where I went to school: Fowey, Cornwall
My work: Accounts Manager
I'm a wife to Steve and a mum to our 25 year old son, James. We live in a lovely house in the countryside approximately 4 miles from Fowey & a mile from Lostwithiel with a self catering holiday cottage in the garden, “Carpenters Cottage” which we’ve been holiday letting since June 2010 ! In the summer of 2020 we decided to move out of our massive en-suite bedroom and convert it into an apartment, “The Hay Loft”. Both holiday accommodations are set in quiet countryside off country lanes. We have been looking after guests for over 10 years now, please see our lovely reviews here and else where, on social media and on line. We love sharing our little bit of Cornwall with visiting guests. Steve and I both work full time, we also have a small holding where we have chickens and horses. Steve has recently restored two vintage tractors and enjoys taking his boat out in the summer months. He is now working on a wooden yacht in his spare time. We have travelled to France, Portugal, Barbados, Trinidad, South Africa..... & most of the South of England with our cricketing son. Love all 80's music - at the Eden Project (about 5 miles away) we have seen Spandau Ballet, Bryan Adams, Lionel Richie, Elton John, Kylie, Duran Duran and Motorhead (our friends son was in the support act,). Really love good food & wine, my favourite food is Wild Sea Bass and favourite wine is New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, although I do love a good French Burgundy. My life motto is to do something fun at least once a day! And I just try to cram everything into each day.... We are all very happy to chat with guests before they book or during their stays if further info is required. We look forward to hosting you. With our best wishes Karen, Steve and family
