Located on 100 acres of forest in Grey-Bruce with a large pond, our log cabin is an authentic rustic Canadian experience. Many of our guests over the years have called it paradise. The log home is a fully modern structure built with logs from two 200-year-old cabins. Fully equipped with rustic furniture, a country kitchen, cozy bedrooms, there is something for everyone. You can also take a hike along the many trails, or have a refreshing dip in the large pond. A wonderful get-away.

The space
THE SPACE: Built with 200-year-old logs, our cabin is stunning inside and out. There are three large bedrooms with one king-size bed, two queen-size beds, and one bunk bed. There are two dining areas, both with country-style dining tables. The upstairs bathroom is ideal for long bubble baths. There is also a large back deck and a covered front porch with rocking chairs. You can also head down to the pond for an afternoon on the beach, or take a long hike on our trails. You may see birds, wild turkeys, rabbits, and deer.

Where you’ll be

Elmwood, Ontario, Canada

The cabin is located 10 minutes north of Hanover, Ontario in Grey Bruce County, and 30 minutes south of Owen Sound. Hanover has all needed amenities: grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, and gas stations. We are 40 minutes to the beaches of Lake Huron including Port Elgin, Southampton, and Sauble Beach. There is canoeing available on the Sagueen River. Also of interest is the local Amish community. Several Amish families live on our road. The cabin is also surrounded by other large 100-acre properties, and a conservation area, so neighbors are close-by, but no too close.
