The space
Let's live in a real Treehouse! A rustic and eco-friendly 1 bedroom seaview nipa & glass treehouse concept situated in Tuazon Point, Brgy. Catangnan, Siargao, that displays the breathtaking view of the sea & palm trees. It is located within Tarzan's House property & is conveniently located near Cloud 9, resorts, & restaurants. Hakuna matata!
TAKE NOTE!
*This is not a typical concrete hotel room, it is important to read prior booking*. If you're the type of vacationer who prefers the comforts of a typical city hotel room setup then this Treehouse is absolutely not the suitable choice for you. Though if you're an authentic nature lover traveler who fully embraces and appreciates the true and simple experience of island living, then this is perfect!

Two live palm trees are incorporated within the structure, a home and experience ideal for nature lovers, surfers, and adventure seekers. Everything is made of wood and nipa, - it is porous, interiors are handmade by our local craftsmen and we used upcycled materials too.
Frontage is entirely glass for that great view! Know that this "treehouse will be hot within certain times of the day, most especially during summer". Please do not expect the air-conditioning unit to be blasting cold, guys! Again not your typical concrete hotel room. The amazing sea view is best enjoyed with fresh salty air! Hence, slide all glass windows open to enjoy the freshest sea breeze.
IMPORTANT:
Please KEEP TOILET FLOOR DRY. The only area to be wet is the shower room. Understand that water will drip to The Deck below and will destroy the wood if toilet flooring is left wet (except for the shower room of course). As mentioned this Treehouse is completely wood flooring.
This natural hideaway is a 1 bedroom unit with a small attic in the living room that serves as another sleeping area. The bedroom is air-conditioned with a double size floor mattress. The attic sleeping quarter is in the living room area above the sofa, it has a queen size floor mattress.
*The living room has no air-conditioning, it has an electric fan.*
There is a kitchenette too. Inevitably, pests and bugs might visit despite all the precautionary measures we apply...again this is a real Treehouse! Hakuna Matata! Kindly keep this area tidy and clean. Please store food in fridge. We do not allow smelly food (detailed kitchenette rules found in house rules).
Shower in glass while admiring the sea! (there is a shower curtain for privacy).
WE CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH for your convenience and ours...A friendly reminder, this treehouse is not suitable for travelers accustomed to a typical concrete hotel room set up. May not be suitable for the elderly and/or the disabled. Please take note that this is a real treehouse experience, best for all Tarzans and Janes out there!
Expect leakage of water to slightly penetrate the treehouse during heavy rains. Kindly inform us for maintenance to check.
If it is windy, the treehouse sways a bit, expect squeaking/creaking sound ( this is from the two palm trees incorporated inside the structure and is normal). If you are a sensitive sleeper, this treehouse is not the right choice for you.
Consider that our location is a jungle. Hakuna matata! Mosquitoes bugs and pests will be around, this is beyond our control. Though we try our best to avoid them, we cannot vouch that they will not be able to enter the treehouse. Also, kindly be reminded to bring a mosquito repellent and sunblock for your comfort and safety during your island adventure. Given that we are a jungle, take note that the access leading to our property is via narrow, rocky sloped path and will require walking. For your convenience, we suggest to bring light luggage.
Guest access
In-house guests have access to the deck area where they can either lounge on the floor, lay on the hammock, read a book, or simply listen to the sea waves. This area is where breakfast is served as well (breakfast is not inclusive in room rates).
Other things to note
The seaview bathroom allows fresh air to penetrate the space for good ventilation. Kindly understand fixture imperfections (tarnishes/specs of rust are normal for front beach living). This does not affect the quality of running water.
Animal lover? Perfect! There are currently 3 house pets (all adopted), 3 cats (Tarzan, Jane, Richard) that freely roam within the property. Note in case of allergies.
Siargao island itself is inevitably filled with stray dogs. They can bark/howl at anytime.
Electric/Water supply interruptions are issues on the entire island. The only reason why we have water 24/7 is because we have a water pump and tank, without these, we are to be dependent on the water ration schedule in a day provided by the island's water cooperative.
Though we do have a water tank to provide an extra supply during those odd situations, this too can run out. Please be advised to conserve water. If water tank runs out, we will be needing to wait for the scheduled time of water ration to have water supply and for our tank to be filled up ( schedule found in reception ).
We have a generator available for use during power interruptions. Please note that the generator will be operated only during scheduled power outages on the island. In the case of unexpected power interruptions, it will be activated after one hour of outage. Kindly be advised that the generator supports limited appliances, specifically electric fans, WiFi, and lights only. Schedule of operating hours will be posted in the office.
Guests are strictly advised not to plug in or use appliances beyond those stated above, such as air conditioning units or water heaters..., as this will cause the generator to overheat, malfunction, and shut down. If this occurs, please be aware that we may not be able to reactivate the generator. We kindly ask all guests to adhere to these rules to ensure everyone’s convenience.
While we typically provide a stable WiFi connection, please be aware that occasional instability or complete loss of connection may occur due to the island’s infrastructure. These disruptions can last for hours or even days and are beyond our control.
For van transfer, motorbike rentals, and surf lessons, please visit the reception area. Take note that we are not affiliated with any of the recommendations we will suggest. We are simply here to give a helping hand and to connect guests and other business owners.
Please be mindful not to blame us for any conveniences in regards with your transactions, directly communicate with the establishments. Transactions/arrangements/negotiations/payments are directly done by guests and rentals, instructors, shops etc. Tarzan's House is not responsible for any transactions / negotiations/ arrangements made by you and the business concerned.
As stated in our house rules, we do not allow infants. However, if a guest arrives on the check-in day with an infant and insists on staying, we will have no choice but to enforce a penalty of PHP 5,000, along with an additional charge of PHP 1,000 per day as an extra person. We kindly ask all guests to respect our policies to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone.

Please note that while the photos posted are authentic, the natural growth of plants and trees surrounding and in front of the property may occasionally obstruct the view. Despite regular maintenance and trimming, there may be instances where seascape views are partially or fully covered by the greenery.Additionally, please be aware that the rooms may show signs of wear and tear due to regular use. We appreciate your understanding of these natural and uncontrollable circumstances.
As Siargao Island continues to experience rapid development, ongoing construction is prevalent throughout the island. Please be aware that construction-related noise and dust may occur at any time and in any location without prior notice.
Please note that there may occasionally be some noise due to maintenance work. This is outside of our control, but we always do our best to minimize any disruption and appreciate your understanding.
