Welcome to Lama Homestay. "Lama" in Vietnamese means "healthy way of life". This is our family home, built new only one year ago. We are located in a safe, fun and friendly family neighborhood. Stay with local people and still be less than 1 km (5-10 minutes walk) from the city center which has dozens of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. in our neighborhood we also have lots and lots of street food and local cafes too.

The space
The Sunrise Room (22 m^2), located on the 3rd floor, has one queen size bed (1.6m x 2m), air conditioning (AC), a private bathroom, a shower with stall and a balcony with a beautiful view overlooking our local neighborhood and downtown Hue. Our rooms are newly built, clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi, hair dryer, toiletries, towels all included.

Guest access
Guests have access to our fully equipped kitchen, living room with TV, yoga studio/lounge, roof deck with BBQ and new washing machine. Please make yourself at home.

During your stay
I have free time every day (sometimes morning, sometimes evening) to socialize with guests. My friend Hanh who works with me at Lama Homestay is available every afternoon to hang out with guests. My aunt often cooks here too. We like to take guests for local food or to a cafe or even take a swim in the Huong River.

We also work with an enthusiastic local yoga teacher, Ms. Bup, who is available for private yoga sessions at Lama Homestay for only 250.000 vnd ($1 1 USD)/hour.

Visit our lively local market (Cho Cong/Cong Market) to get a true feel of Vietnamese culture. Right next door we have a locally famous Bun Bo Hue street food restaurant (Hue's renowned beef noodle soup). Across the street our neighbors make delicious Bun Thit Nuong (Noodles with BBQ pork) every afternoon.

For non-meat eaters, a few other local cooks down the street serve up Chao Gao Lut (a brown rice soup), Xoi Dau (sticky rice with peanuts) or Xoi Bap (corn with potatoes and peanuts). Take a walk around our neighborhood and discover Hue life like a local.

Hi, my name is Thanh or you can all me Tom if you like. I speak Vietnamese and English. I was born right here in Hue and my family, they are all Hue locals too.
