  • In addition to the chickens, this is our sweet yellow lab mix, Baxter. You might meet this guy in our backyard. He loves saying hello to our guests if they are up for it.

  • Expatriate is described as a Hip lounge serving global bar bites & swanky cocktails amid a walnut bar with Asian touches.

  • Grab a drink and play some pinball at JINX, a cozy tavern just a block away!
  • Jinx has a great menu with comfort pub food, local beers on draft and mixed cocktails. Kid friendly until 9pm. Pinball fun for all.
  • Pine State Biscuits on NE Alberta Street
  •  Powell's headquarters, dubbed Powell's City of Books, claims to be the largest independent new and used bookstore in the world. When visiting Portland for the first time, it is a must see!
  • One of our favorite Portland Breakfast/Lunch spots, Sweedeedee. A quick drive from the tiny house.
  • Sweedeedee is just lovely with a record player, fresh baked pie and southern inpired fare that does not disappoint! Open for breakfast and lunch.
  • Ps&Qs Market. A sweet little neighborhood market that is a quick bike ride or drive away. The market is stocked with lots of local and fresh goodies.
  • Last Thursday, Alberta Arts street fair. The street shuts down for vendors and artists to sell their wares. Expect great people watching!
  • Back to Eden vegan bakery on NE Alberta Street.
  • Grilled Cheese Grill, eat your sandwich on a school bus converted into a dining car.
  • Salt and Straw Ice Cream on NE Alberta
  • A personal favorite in the warmer months, the Skidmore Bluffs. Perfect for bringing a picnic and taking in the  sunset view.
  • Peninsula Park Rose Garden
  • Fernhill is a spacious park with lots of open lawn, great for picnicking and features an athletic track for running and walking.
