Luxury beach front villa with direct beach access and sparkling pool. Amazing sea and mountain views with great outdoor entertainment areas protected from the wind. It sleeps 8 people in 4 comfortable double bedrooms, all with sea views.

The space

Step out of your new front door and come face to face with one of the most beautiful places on earth. Stunning sea and mountain views give Ondine a myriad of shifting faces, but stepping out of your front gate and onto the beach is what makes Ondine unique. You will be physically connected to the kilometres of white sandy beaches, hiking trails (through the table mountain nature reserve), surf breaks and crayfish beds that lie at the foot of your garden. Here you will be surrounded by raw nature in the comfort of a well equipped beach house close to all conveniences. This is where the magic happens! Full moons light up the ocean, rainbows and sunsets take turns painting the sky until the stars come out, whales play, flamingos stand and sometimes fly, bodies swim in tidal pools, surf arrives in pulses of energy exploding onto the reefs, coals from the fire glow and if you are lucky, you might just notice the phosphorescence.

This is a truly rare holiday experience. Situated in the fishing village of Kommnetjie, only 45 minutes drive to the vibrant city centre and V & A Waterfront of Cape Town. Villa Ondine is the perfect place to use as a base to explore the surrounding area or to relax and immerse yourself in all your new front yard has to offer.

This place is amazing - the location is out of this world, even better than any of the pictures show. The pool and deck area has also been renovated since the air bnb photos, and it is really stunning. The hosts were lovely and everything was of top standard. The facilities are fantastic, and the house is well stocked with lots of great special touches throughout - Fresh flowers, nespresso machine, wood for the fire, candles etc. We had the best weekend.

Villa Ondine is a beautiful, big villa situated at the beach of Kommetjie. The place itself is so lovely we almost didn't want to leave it to visit all the beauty of Capetown. All major attractions can be reached within 45 minutes driving. We spend 6 nights in Ondine with 3 kids of 10, 12 and 13 and managed to see a lot of the major spots while still allowing time to relax in the villa, enjoying the beach, the pool or the terrace. We got a warm welcome by Tim's father Leon who lives in a house adjacent to the villa. The sunset over the Atlantic can be viewed from the beach or terrace and in the distance you can see Hout Bay and the table mountain. The sound of the waves is ever present in the house. The place itself is very large with 2 terraces, 4 twin bedrooms and a large living/dining with open kitchen which is overlooking the atlantic. We felt at home instantaneously and will for sure be back one day.

The house is nice but some things are not acceptable. The lady who came do the cleaning didn't ring at the door she came through the garden and didn't say hello, asking us to finish quickly. same for the men with her. after was the most that the father of the owner came at 9am (check in at 10) with people (builders) in the garden and a big big dog who entered in the house!!! (we have a baby of 5 weeks old who was on seat on the floor and a girl of 3 years old) they didn't say good morning (or sorry) as we were at breakfast!! the bathroom is open view to the garden and this people came on the bathroom window when my wife was still in the shower !!! Just this feeling you are in their house! Plus for this price please put some lamp/ light on side of the beds and some shampoo/soap in the bathrooms and oil for the kitchen... the house is really nice but some things and services has to be changed for this type of prices.

Response from Tim:
Hi Ambre, I want to apologize for this intrusion into your privacy. My staff always put the guest's needs first and it is not acceptable that they made you feel rushed on the morning of your check out. I can assure you that this is an isolated incident and I have reinforced our policy of guest privacy and confidentiality with the property manager. Please accept my offer of a free 2 night stay at some point in the future.

Tim and his parents were great hosts. We loved the house, the views, location and size it great for a large family or extended family. The only down side, is for elders walking to the beach had to bed done on the road. It's a rocky walk. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
