Where you’ll be

Suryodaya, Eastern Region, Nepal

Our tea farm is located in the small village of Aarubote, approximately 50 minute walk from the city of Fikkal. The Ilam area is bordering Darjeeling, India, and is known for its tea plantations, lush and green mountain landscape, and peaceful atmosphere. However, the eastern region of Nepal remains fairly unexplored by tourists and is therefore a perfect opportunity for visitors seeking the local, Nepalese experience. For an accurate location of our home please search for “Deepak Kulung’s Farm” in Google Maps.

During your stay

We would be more than happy to teach/explain/show you the process of organic tea-farming and introduce you to simple and local Nepalese way of living. Over the years, we have had many travelers from abroad through our Workaway hosting, and we are therefore very experienced at welcoming guests into our home.
