Approved by the Govt. of Uttarakhand in the Gold category, this homestay is located at Jaiharikhal, a small hamlet which is 6 kms from Lansdowne on Lansdowne - Gumkhal Road. The houses built in stone and wood are nestled amidst fruit trees and organic vegetable garden and provide an excellent view of the 300 kms stretch of the mighty Himalayas on a clear sky. Home to exotic birds, deer and fly foxes, one may also spot a leopard taking a stroll on road in front of the property.

The space
Indigenous form of architecture, the houses have responded to the topography and local climate of the region and are located along the contoured sunny slopes amidst the backdrop of hills and snow-clad Himalayas in the front. They have been built in stone and wood using locally available resources along with all modern amenities present inside the house. The houses are designed as energy efficient buildings and get plenty of sunshine inside the rooms. Large insulated glass windows of the rooms offer a fabulous view of Himalayas outside while allowing lot of fresh mountain air to come inside the room.

Vicky Rawat along with his wife, owns and runs a home stay with 6 rooms at Jaiharikhal, Uttarakhand, India . Their home stay is rated Gold category and first to be approved in District Pauri Garhwal by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of Uttarakhand. The couple had always yearned to retire to their roots in Lansdowne-Jaiharikhal and by setting up a homestay there with a compelling experience satiates their ambition in a way no job could have. The hosts are well versed and can communicate easily in English, Hindi and Garhwali.

Other things to note
1. No loud music or DJ nights. 2. Strictly no smoking in rooms and toilets. however guests can freely smoke in the balcony and outside. 3. No brawls, noisy or unruly behavior will be acceptable as we expect our guests to maintain a decorum so that we can make their stay memorable.

Neighbourhood highlights

The gated homestay above the road is located in village Jaihari and is surrounded by a few private houses in the neighbourhood, Oak and fruit trees on the sides with a beautiful view of 300 kms long range of Himalayas in the front. The trees, the birds, the sunrise, and the peace and quiet are superb.
