Where you’ll be

Fenny Bentley, England, United Kingdom

Located in one of England's most scenic beauty spots, our cottage is sits in at the end of a private drive in the small village of Fenny Bentley, located close to the picturesque area of Dovedale and a few hundred yards from the Tissington Trail bridleway and cycle trail providing traffic free access to the beauty spots of Derbyshire. It lies 2 miles north of the historic market town of Ashbourne.

Guests often comment on the feeling of space, tranquility, seclusion and beauty of The Orchards, however within a few miles there are the market towns of Leek, Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park. The picturesque village of Tissington is just a short walk away across the fields with its imposing 17th-century Jacobean mansion house, fantastic tearooms, candle workshop and the renowned Edwards sweet shop. There is access to the private garden with a bench, wooden table and chairs. There is safe off road car parking.

The Orchards is a lovely peaceful environment, with stunning walks from the cottage or nearby in the Manifold Valley, or Dovedale Valley. Within a few minutes you can walk straight from the cottage either of the two the local village pubs-The Coach and Horses or The Bentley Brook-with their extensive menus, or travel a little further across the fields to The Old Dog in Thorpe which also sells food along with a wide selection of craft beers.
