This is a home with pride of ownership evident throughout. The house is fully stocked for a convenient stay, always clean, very comfortable beds, quality linens and towels to make it a full 5 star experience. The retreat is close to the town centre, parks, art and culture, great views, marina, coffee shop, gas station. The house is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).

The space
The home is located right on the water. We have a fire pit, BBQ and wifi available for your use. A beautiful retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle, but still be connected to a great community. If you have a boat and want to bring it with you, the local marina will provide a perfect experience!

Glovertown is a vibrant community with many things for people to do.

The local Marina is a perfect place to leave your boat during your stay. Or just walk the decks to admire all the lovely boats.

Ken Diamond Memorial Park is a beautiful walking trail with a couple different lookouts and a hilltop hike named "puff n blow"!!!

Terra Nova National Park is a quick 10-15 minute drive. Terra Nova Park has a marina, touch tank, sandy pond beach, fabulous 18 hole Golf Course, numerous hiking trails, interpretation centre, theatre, cook shelters, multiple activities throughout the summer, kids activities, starfish eatery, kayak rentals (have to check that is still going ahead this year)....check out their website!!

Eastport Beach, Sandy Cove Beach and Crooked Tree Park are all about 15-20 mins away.

We are the Host family; Steve, Millicent, Jaxon & Walker Hicks. Steve is the great nephew of Edna Russell. Edna lived to be a ripe age of 101 and was the kindest, sweetest soul you'd ever meet. She always had a cup of tea and a lunch ready to go for her many friends and neighbours to drop in. Edna tended to her gardens until she was well into her 90's, bringing kelp from the nearby beach! When Aunt Edna passed we purchased the house from her family who reside in the USA. We find that Edna's welcoming spirit lives on in this house and is felt by all who stay here. We strive to bring the same delightful experience to our guests as Aunt Edna would provide for her friends and family!
