Prakruti Farms is near Kanakapura road. You’ll adore the farm for its serenity and verdant greenery. We practice natural organic farming techniques and Permaculture. The property is ideally suited for nature lovers, farming enthusiasts and family outings.

Experience living in an Indian farm including pets & livestock. The farm is a developing food forest too.

We serve freshly cooked meals for dinner and healthy South Indian millet breakfast in the mornings from the FORGOTTEN FOODS kitchen.

The space
Prakruti Farms is a 5 acre property. There are different zones in the farm where various crops are grown. We have implemented a Permaculture "food forest" in an acre of space, there are fruit gardens, medicinal plants, teak plantations, Sapota, Coconut, Arecanut plantations, Raagi and millet fields. Prakruti is a Farm and not a resort with full amenities.

We have domesticated cattle, sheep, chicken, dogs and cats in the farm.

The Flameback cottage consists of a living room, kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom. The guest house can accommodate upto 4 people including bed and couches.

There are 3 listings at Prakruti Farms including Hornbill, Ibis and Flameback cottages.

A bonfire can be arranged in the evenings at an additional cost.

Your experience will include Dinner and Breakfast in the package. Freshly cooked healthy meals made from local ingredients would be served for dinner. The breakfast will include millet dishes from Forgotten Foods along with other local food.

Lunch is not included in the package but could be made to order with advance notice and will cost Rs.350/-.

We are promoting the local Forgotten Foods and recipes. So you can expect different dishes like Ragi mudde, Rajamudi rice, Tambulis, Ganji, etc, during your stay.

Guest access
Dinner and Breakfast is included in the package. Freshly cooked healthy meals made from local ingredients would be served for dinner. A simple vegetarian breakfast would be served in the morning. Lunch and snacks are not included in the package. Snacks can be made to order.

Guests will have access to the entire farm including the private guest house. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, gas stove and utensils.

Alcohol consumption and smoking is restricted inside the cottage. It can be done outside.

Stock of ready to eat packaged foods like cup noodles, juices and snacks will be available for use and will be charged on MRP.

Fun games like badminton, playing cards, frisbee are at your disposal.

Other packaged food from the minibar will be charged on MRP.

Guests can take a stroll to the nearby scenic Thatteguppe lake.

Neighbourhood highlights

The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. There are lot of lakes around the farm where one can take a stroll. We would like you to respect the surroundings and maintain the noise levels. Loud music is restricted.

A few kilometres from here is the Bannerghatta National Park. A wide variety of birds visit the farm due to the vicinity of the National park.

Restaurants like Desi Grand Parantha and Vyshnavi Grand which is around 5km or 10 minutes drive from the farm offer good food and delivery service to Prakruti farms.

Art of Living ashram and Pyramid valley are nearby spiritual places to visit.

I am a Civil Engineer by profession who is passionate about Natural organic Farming, Permaculture, Wildlife, birding, music & meditation. I run a startup along with my wife Nethra and together we are working to revive and promote the "forgotten foods" of our country under the brand name Vennakula's FORGOTTEN FOODS. We are also working on a new brand called "Plesantre" to provide the best natural packaged foods. My mother is a professional traditional Tanjore artist and is passionate about music and arts. My father is a retired man who has served the defence industry. My sister is a multi faceted artist, kayaker, musician and a dancer. We live in a joint family in the city near Lalbagh Botanical Gardens in Bangalore city. We would be glad to host people of every culture and get to know you. Prakruti is a family owned and operated farm in the outskirts of Bangalore.
