La Casita has a queen sized bed and a private bathroom. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave, on the counter stove, coffee maker and a toaster. There is a comfortable sofa, a table with three chairs and a cabinet with drawers. The front has a small porch with seating, while the back patio area has a pergola, dining furniture, and a view of the Sandias. Balloon Fiesta Park is nearby and balloons throughout the year fly over the house. Situated at the crossroads of culture and vistas!
La Casita is spacious and light. There is ample seating and the queen sized bed is super comfy. The WiFi signal is strong and the TV is equipped with Apple TV, so there is access to Netflix, youtube, music and more. Coffee, basic breakfast items, water and soft drinks are readily available. There is dish and hand soap, as well as shower gel and shampoo & conditioner. There is a basket of sundries at your disposal in case you forgot something!
There are two doors to La Casita. Both doors have keyless entry with the same code. The code will be changed with each reservation and will be available after the booking is made, preferably on the day of your arrival. If we are not able to be home when you arrive, this code will make it easy for you to enter. We'll cover the logistics when you book with us! We prefer guests use the gate entrance to the backyard to access the casita.
Interaction with guests
If there is something you need, ask! We will do our best to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. We are happy to talk, but we also respect your privacy. It's up to you how much interaction there is.
Other things to note
We have a fenced-in area in the back where dogs can play. We ask that you clean up after your furry friend. We have a small dog and ask that the gates to the fenced in backyard be closed at all times. ALSO, WE PREFER THAT DOGS NOT BE LEFT IN THE CASITA ALONE IF NOT CRATED. If we are available, we are happy to dog-sit for a fee.
There is a chicken coop in the back area. Please keep an eye on your dog(s) when in the back area with the pergola. We prefer that dogs be on leash when on this part of the property. There is a rooster, but a few neighbors also have them. This is part of the charm of Corrales!
No smoking or vaping and no candle or incense burning.
No outside guests are allowed without our prior permission.
No RV parking available.
No more than 2 dogs, please. Dogs must be crated when left alone in the casita. No cats, please.
Please unplug the pergola lights when not outside. They should not be plugged in during inclement weather.
My husband and I are both archaeologists who have come to New Mexico to enjoy the views and the exciting history and culture of the American Southwest.
We enjoy traveling, meeting people, and learning new things. We look forward to hosting you in the retreat we are creating.
