We really enjoyed Marc’s place as a get away for the weekend. The space is huge and the kitchen has plenty of amenities for cooking, and the view out to the castle and water is great! The couches are super comfy. Check in was easy and communication was efficient! Only comments to…

We stayed at Marc’s place due to the proximity to the airport and because it looked stylish and was well priced. It didn’t disappoint and we were very impressed with the communication and how nice the unit was. We would definitely consider staying here again on future travels.

We really enjoyed staying in Marc's apartment. It was incredibly spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean. Amazing views over the river! We travelled on the train, which worked out well, as the apartment was less than ten minutes walk from the station, and there were regular train…

Great location just out of Glasgow. A lovely smart apartment with stunning views across the estuary. It felt very relaxing and homely. It was quiet and warm & the beds were SO comfortable with blackout blinds in rooms giving a good night's sleep. Shops nearby for supplies and a n…

What was great about the property was it’s location and views. However, what was disappointing was the lift access to the apartment was stained, graffitied and smelled of urine. To the extent that using the lift was unbearable, which meant climbing 4 floors of dirty stairs with b…

Response from Marc:
After much consideration I would like to publicly respond to these comments so future guests can take a fair view. This property is a 200 year old mill with sandstone and vaulted brick ceilings. It has a mix of raw industrial features as well as very comfortable modern finishings. If your looking for a new build please do not book my apartment. As for Kates comments I feel there are unfair because I contacted her the day after check in to see if everything was OK with the apartment, she never replied. Yes at the moment on the stair well we have 2 windows boarded up for safety reasons not a result of vandalism which are being replaced. If Kate had responded to my message and had concerns about any hygiene issues in the communal lift I would of contacted the factors to deal with this. As for the cleanliness of my apartment I would ask anyone who is considering booking the apartment read the 230 previous reviews and make a judgement. Kate had originally booked for 2 weeks but just before her trip it was cancelled by Airbnb because of lack of funds, this left me in and unfortunate position were I reduced the price to try and fill up the diary. I did get a new booking for a few days and Kate tried to rebook but couldn't get the original dates. I received a phone call from Airbnb reaching out to me on Kate's behalf to see if I could accept her original request. I replied no as I felt it was unfair on guests who had booked since Kate's cancellation and I would also be penalised for canceling a booking. I feel Kate was disappointed in my response to Airbnb and did not respond to me or give me a chance to rectify any concerns and has unfairly criticised my apartment.

Marc’s apartment in Port Glasgow is amazing. There is plenty of space, an industrial chic combined with cosiness in an ideally located old factory in the middle of Port Glasgow and not far to the airport. The communication with Marc is uncomplicated, his instructions absolutely c…
