To recharge your batteries in a typical village of Gard, my house will welcome all your family. You will appreciate it for its luminosity, its terrace in front of the kitchen, the calm of the village. Our house, formerly the residence of our harvesters, is perfect for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, families (with children) and four-legged companions. Note a novelty this year with the pool :-)

We loved staying at Jasmin s place. A beautiful view and garden and a lovely place to relax in the sunshine. Great to have the pool there too. Jasmin is a brilliant host and made us feel very comfortable from the start. The village is lovely too with small producteurs selling organic fruit and veg and amazing wine . Would definitely recommend Jasmin's place to a friend.

Some good points, but also some bad. The house was as shown by pictures--not fancy but comfortable and large. The hosts were pleasant and easy to communicate with. They had an above ground pool the kids enjoyed and it helped with heat (below). This price is good for sleeping 6 people. BUT.......there were a couple problem issues that were not evident in the listing. The first is location--the village is really just a hamlet of homes--no businesses or services whatsoever. Must drive to nearby town for bakery, etc. Also the town seemed a bit deserted with many buildings in disrepair--piles of brick and stone along the roadside, broken (URL HIDDEN) was a bit sad and disconcerting. Do not hope for a charming little village. Second issue was the unbearable heat/lack of insulation and ventilation. One side of house has a type of sunroom enclosed in glass (i.e. green house) None of the windows here can open (I tried and glass was in disrepair and pane nearly fell out on me). This means you cannot get good cross ventilation, and you have a 90+ degree hot box right next to you (bonus--laundry hanging there dries in about an hour!). The side you can open up is facing south(ish) and getting sun much of the day. I have never been so hot. We woke Up multiple times to sit outside in the middle of the night trying to cool off (outside felt like air conditioning--must have been at least 80 inside most of the night). I know it was July but it wasn't a strong heat wave--it was just the house in its current state cannot ventilate properly. Avoid it in summer!!!!

The accommodation is great for exploring the region. The Wi-Fi is not very good. It would really help if you could speak French as Yasmin and her husband are very friendly and helpful.
