Waterfront holiday rentals in River Dee

The property was perfect for our few days visiting family in Hoylake, west kirby and Liverpool. We are very familiar with the area, and this apartment was a great find! Have to say, the bed was particularly comfortable - we slept very well!!

We had a great stay! The accommodation was tidy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable long weekend. The location was perfect — only a 5-10 minute walk from all the restaurants, the pier, and shops. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a fantastic week at Sunny Bank. House was spotless and had everything we needed. Very close to lots of lovely restaurants and cafés, my boys especially loved the ice-cream parlor just down the road. Fantastic walk above the the house with amazing views over Barmouth.

The house was very spacious, the kids enjoyed playing all the games in the cupboard, and the buckets and spades left out for us. Nicky was extremely helpful giving local recommendations as well. Great modern property overlooking the beach and with views of Liverpool and life on the Mersey. The dog loved looking out the French doors to the street and beach below….our garden clearly not as interesting since we returned! We chose this property due to the beach side location but was also easy to access Anfield for the Bruce Springsteen concert (we chose to Uber but train would also have been a good option). Off-road parking with assigned bay was also an added bonus. Our only issue was that we struggled to operate the (very modern) oven but our techno-savvy daughter was able to rescue us before we had to ask for help! A great stay and we shall definitely return again.

Pauls place was perfect for our short stay and set in a beautiful Georgian square. We were visiting for a concert so we were out of Liverpool itself which was more convenient as we had a parking place to leave the car but could combine sightseeing with our trip to Anfield. Paul was so very helpful when it came to public transport, he had our journey mapped out for us and directed us to get our saver pass for all modes of transport there and back from the concert. We even managed a ferry across the Mersey ( why not 😍) Paul was a great host and a great guy. So very friendly and easy to chat to and who goes over and above to help in any way. The fruit, cereal and brioche buns plus milk was a welcomed bonus 👍 Thanks again Paul.

I stayed for only 2 nights and instantly regretted not booking for even longer we went for a family get together and we were all so blown away at how big it was but also so homey. it was great that the beach was only a couple of minutes away so we could nip back and forth. Helen was easy to get in touch with if we needed anything, not that we did. overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again

Lovely hidden gem! Tucked away but so close to everything, we loved staying here. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids. Beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of additional touches like the very thoughtful welcome basket - very much appreciated. River views are beautiful, especially from the balcony on a sunny morning. We loved our daily wander into Chester via Grosvenor Park or by the river for a slightly longer a scenic route. Jaunty Goat was a favourite for breakfast, and we wandered round the walls to The Architect pub for a nice drink, but so many options within the city. Super handy Waitrose is just across the road. We even managed to tuck our fairly big car into the parking space (we were warned it was tight but it was totally fine with a bit of mirror manoeuvring). Would definitely recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming orchard cottage in North Wales. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The cottage is beautifully presented. spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. The location is stunning, nestled in peaceful countryside with breathtaking views, yet just a short drive from local towns, scenic walking routes, and the coast. We especially loved the peaceful tranquil of the surrounding areas. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, providing helpful local tips and even leaving a few special touches for our arrival that made us feel so appreciated. Just got back from a 3 day stay at this lovely cottage. The location is exactly what was needed. Tranquil, Peaceful and Quiet. We travelled as a couple with a 3 year old and a dog. The garden was big and allowed the dog to roam about without too much worry (other than the stream at the end of the garden). The cows in the next field made for the countryside experience! There are many things to go see and visit in the local area and further like the Lake Vernwyn or Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall with hikes and walks. The cottage itself is beautiful and you can see the effort and heart that went into the renovation. It has a homely and cosy feel with everything you need for a stay. We would 100% stay again and would recoup anyone looking for an authentic Welsh countryside break to look no further than Chapel Cottage.

our stay at Claire's lovely home was amazing, prestine clean house with everything you need. The only thing missing was an unbrella. easy 5 mins walk to the beach, great for dog walks and kids a like. set on a private road the house was in a quiet location with mountain backdrop beach and bay views. Claire's communication was very responsive and timely, and easy to follow instructions. Claire was very helpful and answered all our questions. well fitted kitchen area clean and tidy. plenty of areas for storage. the house also had the added value of a downstairs toilet. living area was clean and spacious with comfy sofas. could not fault it at all. truly a great find and would definitely recommend. only negative issue is the rear of the property road noise although as it is constant it doesn't really disturb.

An absolute favourite place to be. Mountains, estuary, seaside, walks, bike rides. Looking out over the estuary we feel like the only people there, away from the roads. Peaceful, in fact idyllic is not an exaggeration. A great place to make family memories. We had perfect blue skies and so clear at night we could see every star in the sky 😊

This property is extremely central and a stone’s throw away from the arcade and pier. Fantastic location and a lovely, large clean space. The kitchen area is great and the whole house was clean and well equipped. Jay was an excellent host - going above and beyond to make our stay great. There is no parking directly beside the house but we found parking on the streets nearby without any problems. Once there we didn’t need the cars as everything was so close.

We stayed for five nights in Siobhan's home while I attended a conference at the ACC arena, which is less than 10 minutes away by foot along the Mersey. The space is clean and tidy, the area is nice and quiet and Siobhan was very helpful. Thank you for our stay!

What a find! We always stay at The Albert Dock but Ann's apartment was so much better. Luxurious, clean and large with a great view. Sue was the perfect host, thank you. You must do The Cavern on a Friday night, and go on Tommy's open top bus tour. There is nothing he doesn't know about The Beatles!

You would struggle to find a place more handy to enjoy everything at Barmouth. What was surprising is that even though it’s close to the town centre, it’s very quiet in the apartment and we had very peaceful nights sleep. Could not ask for any more 🥰

Fabulous house, the rooms are large and it was very clean and tidy. Clare was very friendly and welcoming. She was keen to make us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another wonderful stay at Lynn's lovely flat. It has everything I could need for my stays and there is always something there to welcome me, such as flowers and some supplies in the fridge to get me started! The kitchen itself is very well equipped, the lounge is very comfortable, eqipped with a sofabed and a a table and chairs for mealtimes. The bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table which could double up as a desk and the bathroom is modern and always squeaky clean.

Had an absolutely incredible stay at Heidi's property and would be sat here writing this review forever if I was to list all of the amazing things that made this property one of the best I have ever stayed in. Immediately upon arriving we were greeted with a folder that had recommendations and information about the local area, such a small gesture goes a long way in making guests feel at home straight away. The view from nearly every window in the property is the best view I have seen in a long time and myself and the other guests had to stop ourselves from sitting Infront of the window all day otherwise we would never have gone out. The property was spotless, spacious and had everything you could ever need. It made such a good base to explore the local area as it was only a 5/10 minute walk from the harbour/main beach. Thanks for an incredible stay Heidi, we've all made memories to last a lifetime.

Lovely apartment, great balcony overlooking the marina,pub nearby at the yacht club,which served food. We had a very relaxing stay. The double bed is a little snug, but didn't detract from our stay.
