Holiday rentals with a kayak in Richmond County

Jennie and Guy were amazing hosts. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. Their cozy home has ample space on the main level for indoor living if you ever needed a break day. The deck is large and private and probably my favourite part of the house. The kitchen is extremely well stocked which made cooking away from home an enjoyable experience. The home gets a great breeze from the ocean which kept things cool on the inside and left us with no bugs on the outside! Jennie and Guy provided some excellent tips for things to do in the area and we used the home as a jump off point to see many other fun things in Cape Breton. While not immediately on the ocean, you can still see it from the deck and they were happy to share their kayaks and paddle board with us. A very nice perk which you won't find in many places. The little island is picturesque with lots of beautiful scenery to explore. The local beach was sandy and warm and the two pubs we went to were quite nice as well. Overall, I would highly recommend it. The value for money was extremely fair and we had a great experience overall. Thanks for the memories!

My group and I (ten in total) absolutely loved this place. The wood work is amazing, the space is perfect. It is stunning inside and out - a must see! Chris was very helpful and responded very quickly any time I reached out from booking until checkout. We are already planning our next trip back!

You won’t believe it until you see it!!!! The most incredible view that just goes on forever…we brought 2 dogs and the surroundings were absolutely perfect for them. Sean was great and kept in touch with us the whole week, even brought us fresh eggs from his hens!!!! Everything was perfect and we had an awesome time.

We had a girls weekend at Kary's place and it was just AMAZING!!!! We loved every minute of it. So relaxing the hot tub and sauna was perfect! Very clean and had everything we needed. We will DEFINITELY be going back :)))

The house has absolutely everything you’d need; phone chargers on each side of every bed and multiple in the living room/kitchen, abundance of linen, kids toys/books, all the streaming services, multiple Bluetooth speakers etc. you truly only need to bring your clothes. The house is exceptionally clean as well. If you’re looking to explore farther into Cape Breton Island (highlands national park for example) note that it is a bit of a drive. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home!

Situated meters from the water, our cabin was a perfect couples get away. Thoughtfully appointed, extremely clean and above all very private. Although there are a couple of cabins on the property, there never was a time where we felt the presence of others. The hot tub privacy and views are amazing, and our hostess was very responsive. Above all, definitely a stay we want to do again. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to experience a natural and private couples retreat.

We really enjoyed staying here - it was peaceful, secluded and had really beautiful surroundings. Liane was very responsive, really helpful and always polite and friendly in her communication but otherwise the hosts gave us privacy and space. We loved spending time in the spa late at night; the landscaping and lighting made it very atmospheric and relaxing. We also really enjoyed the fire pit and BBQ, and walking through the woods and nearby St Esprit beach. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. I couldn't recommend this place more if you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to spend a few days. It's also only a 25 minute drive to Saint Peters if you are looking for shops and restaurants. Our only complaint was that the weather wasn't good enough for us to take the kayaks out for the first couple of days, but sadly no-one can change the weather and it was a good excuse to sit by the fire pit instead!
