Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Richland County

So much fun! Wish we had more time to explore the area.

Our stay at Therese's was spectacular - everything we expected + more! The moment we walked in, it was fresh, clean & spacious. We always appreciate a clean home that while still comfortable and inviting - it is not crowded or cluttered. All the rooms were super clean and tidy and the kitchen was well-equipped. The surrounding areas are intensely beautiful if you're looking for pure nature and peaceful surroundings. We would definitely stay here again and heartily recommend this property to anyone looking for a respite from large communities, noise and congestion. Peace & beauty are here.

We were really impressed with the home. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed—it had absolutely everything we needed plus lots of thoughtful touches. But the outdoor space was particularly wonderful. The location is secluded and serene and there is a very nice patio area in which to enjoy the lovely surroundings and the birdsong.

What an amazing stay at Twin Pines! As Wyoming natives now living in the Chicagoland area, we’ve seen a lot—but nothing could’ve prepared us for Shelia’s next-level hospitality. The farmhouse was cozy, full of charm, and stocked with every comfort (and craving!) you could possibly imagine. If it could be eaten, sipped, or savored, Shelia had it covered! THANK YOU!! We spent our days exploring parks, fishing like pros (or trying to), and cruising scenic drives while asking ourselves, Are we really still in Wisconsin? Thank you, Shelia, for making us feel so welcome and for thinking of everything before we even knew we needed it. We'll be talking about this stay for a long time, and yes, we’re already planning our return! 🫶🏻🥰

My sisters and I had a wonderful time here! The river view was absolutely mesmerizing. We kayaked, fished, and did a lot of cooking. The beds were very comfortable — we all slept great during our stay. Check-in was easy, and there was firewood available for us to use. We enjoyed the games and the peaceful atmosphere. It was a 10/10 experience, and we’d love to come back again!

Beautiful HUGE property, lots of trails to explore and very peaceful with lots of wildlife and privacy. Home was gorgeous and very comfortable, they provided tons of amenities and a binder with recommendations. My phone service was SOS, they have strong Wi-Fi but was nice to disconnect for awhile. Highly recommend staying here for a get away. Also close to Eagle Cave with tours to explore!

We had a fabulous stay at Mary's place in mid-October. The views of the hills and fall color were simply stunning. The home is conveniently close to town and the nearby winery, making it easy to run short errands and get to things to do, but the location of the lot itself is very quiet and private feeling. The house is very clean and we felt like we had everything we needed! Love all the games in the loft.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed an early spring weekend getaway at Little Willow, birdwatching during the day and sitting around the firepit at night. Very relaxing and cozy.

We reserved both units for my family. They were both amazing comfortable with lots of personal touches that made us feel right at home. Both great size with three bedrooms. Super clean, comfortable and with everything needed to cook. Outside is so peaceful that we never even turned on the TV…we just sat outside, listening to the birds and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. It’s a short drive to HOTR and Taliesin in Spring Green . Great communication with hosts who responded quickly and were so friendly. Our group highly recommends and look forward to our next visit! Thanks so much, Bill and Darcy… we will be back!!

There were four of us and we were all so happy with our stay! We never even turned on the TV (though it was nice size) …we spent evenings on the patio relishing the nature and all the birdsong... made lots of great memories talking about our days and resting our weary bones from all the walking! Super comfortable and welcoming … lots of personal touches and had everything we needed to cook and eat in comfortably. we had two folks in each unit, but could easily have had 4–5 in each. Place is close to Spring Green for attractions Taliesin and HOTR) and got to enjoy the scenic short ride there. we felt right at home..,great amenities, large bathroom, bed was amazingly comfortable. Everything was super clean and we can’t say enough about how kind and responsive the hosts are. Thank you, Bill and Darcy for letting us enjoy this slice of heaven! We will definitely be back!

We were all so happy to be back at Steampunk Manor! We stayed in the apartment this go round and had a ton of space for the kids. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, kitchen was well stocked, and plenty of board games. Wish we’d had more time to stay!

My stay at Teresa's place was wonderful! It was exactly what I was looking for while in the area to visit friends and family. Her home is beautiful and exactly as described, even better than the photos. She greeted me when I arrived and showed me around, making sure I knew to make myself at home. Her place is right on the Kickapoo River, and although the weather wasn't great for a kayaking trip, I'll be back again to enjoy the area more. Teresa, thank you for sharing your beautiful, immaculate, and comfortable home. The homemade treats were a delicious and thoughtful way to show how much you clearly enjoy hosting! I hope to stay again soon!

Very homey, nice location, CLEAN!!

The cabin was awesome and comfortable. The porch overlooking the hills was really relaxing and we spent most of our time there. The fire pit was terrific and we loved all the accessories (fire starter, grate for cooking). Perfect location too, just outside of Richland Center and a short drive to stores if needed. If you are in the area , I would definitely recommend staying at this cozy cabin! Jason

My kids, grands, and I had a great few days at this peaceful little cabin. Well stocked kitchen (dishes/pots/pans, etc). Kids enjoyed the game room and everyone loved sitting on the large porch for coffee or a meal. The firepit was a nice touch as well. Plenty of bedding/towels. Nice big tv too. Park was just across the street so kids could play outside. There was a nice, waterside park just a short walk away too. Hope to be back someday!

Our trip exceeded all expectations. The home was beautiful inside and comfortable with such high quality amenities. The kitchen has stocked up with any utensils and pans you'd need. The hot tub was great and had a beautiful view to look out at. This is a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

This is our second visit to DPC! We love it here! The cabin is immaculate and amenities are great! The guidebook was amazing and our girls trip was fantastic in big part because of this place! Hosts are amazing! Definitely a hidden gem!!

The cabin was beautiful and the location was amazing. It was really nice to see the bison walking around near the cabin and we were also able to have a really fun campfire outside in the fire pit. Also there was a gas grill where we could do barbecue. We had a really nice time and it was really clean and comfortable and cozy.

Quaint little cabin in the woods. Not much around, but was a dollar store nearby for any needed items. Snacks, coffee maker, and basic items in fridge were a nice touch. Host provided us with a bundle of wood which allowed us to have smores in the fire pit in the yard outside. Inside electric fireplace was nice too.

This spring was our second stay at this beautiful property, and once again, everything was just as we hoped. The home is always impeccably prepared, clean, and welcoming—exactly as expected. The host is consistently responsive and helpful, making each visit smooth and stress-free. And the setting? Still as stunning and peaceful as ever. It’s become a favorite spot for us, and we look forward to coming back again. Highly recommend!

We came for peace and quiet and that is what we got in the most magnificent surroundings and home with fantastic amenities. My favorite part as waking up with coffee, the stillness of the lake, and swaying of the trees. Perfect birthday getaway with my husband!
