Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Ribeira Grande

Dino’s home is one of the top three AirBnBs that we have stayed in, and we have stayed at over 30+ AirBnBs from Peru to Portugal, Europe and the US. Moreover, he is easily the best host we have ever stayed with. He was waiting for us when we arrived and spent 30 minutes showing us where everything was and how to use it. I would strongly recommend his home to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful location.

This was probably our best Airbnb experience ever! A stunning, stylish oceanfront cottage — a true dream. We traveled with our 7-month-old baby and were amazed to find not only a crib, but also a baby bathtub and even a feeding bottle. Such a thoughtful touch! The house is beautifully decorated, cozy, and fully equipped. It felt like a peaceful retreat — we loved relaxing, watching the waves, and enjoying the privacy. The beds were super comfortable, with quality linens and towels. The home was warm and welcoming, with a lovely patio and even a telescope and binoculars to admire the ocean. There were also delicious local treats waiting for us, which made us feel even more at home. Special thanks for the late check-out — it allowed us to enjoy our final morning stress-free. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

A great and unique place to stay! Beautifully maintained. Given the age of the house, the wind can be heard/felt on windy/stormy days. This takes some getting used to. Please know that the house is situated in a beautiful park, with keys to access the park after opening hours. On the lake you can use kayaks, and there are also kids bikes in the shed.

Sehr saubere Unterkunft, ein wunderschöner Ausblick von der Terrasse + Jacuzzi auf das Meer und super hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeber. Die Ruhe die man dort ist ebenfalls unbeschreiblich. Hier braucht man aber definitiv ein Mietauto, wenn man noch andere Sachen unternehmen möchte, da man fernab der großen Städte wohnt. Für uns war es genau deshalb perfekt.

The kids loved the pool, was quiet place, and lots of space. the beds were comfortable, the location was good. the view from the kitchen was fantastic.we loved that we had three showers and toilets.

Cozy house and Fernando was an extremely helpful host. The house was cleaned every other day and there were always fresh towels available. Fernando was always available for anything we needed and even recommended some places to have dinner. Highly recommended. I can confirm that the house tends to be a bit humid, but that’s a characteristic of the island.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Ana. L'endroit est tout simplement parfait, les fleurs sur le terrain sont magnifiques, le logement était propre et spacieux et la piscine très bien entretenue. C'est aussi très calme le soir pour dormir. Et parfaitement situé sur l'île pour aller autant à l'Est que à l'Ouest. Je recommande l'endroit et j'espère y retourner un jour!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Luis’s place. It was spacious and beautiful and very well located. Luis was very helpful and flexible with check in and check out, which was very much appreciated. We loved everything about this home, one thing to note is that we did see a large bug inside the home. It would not deter me from staying here again as it is a gorgeous home, but perhaps something worth mentioning. Thank you Luís for a lovely stay!

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in dieser Unterkunft in Ponta Delgada! Der Whirlpool war ein absolutes Highlight – nach einem langen Tag voller Erkundungen der Insel konnten wir hier perfekt entspannen und dabei die atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Meer und die umliegende Landschaft genießen. Die Lage des Hauses war ideal: ruhig und dennoch gut erreichbar. Wir fühlten uns von der ersten Minute an willkommen, da die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit waren. Sie gaben uns viele tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und hatte alles, was wir brauchten. Besonders gefallen hat uns die große Terrasse, auf der wir morgens unseren Kaffee trinken und abends den Sonnenuntergang bewundern konnten. Wir können dieses Airbnb wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal auf den Azoren sind!

Pierre’s manor may be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. An authentic, comfortable, well-maintained 200+ year old property that has many nooks and crannies to explore. You will have a view of both the ocean and farm land—rolling hills and pastures. Bucolic and peaceful. Only about a 7 minute drive from the main road. Breakfast was simple but delicious too. Stay here!

Marion est une hôte formidable, gentille, généreuse et toujours disponible. Le logement était, en fait, encore plus beau que sur les photos. Nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite à l'aise. Très propre et confortable, grande cour superbe et très pratique pour laisser jouer les enfants. Légèrement en retrait de la ville, nous avons adoré pour la tranquillité et la vue magnifique! Idéalement situé pour visiter tous les recoins de l'île. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Je recommande sans hésiter !

We really enjoyed staying at Isabel’s place. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and in the cozy living room. The location was ideal for our daily road trips on this beautiful island. Isabel was very quick to respond to any question we had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!!

We've just returned from a week at Vila Alegre and loved it! It is a real gem, and Antonio and Maggie are wonderful hosts. The place was easy to find, and it is just as lovely as in the photos. We were greeted by Antonio and Maggie who showed us around and explained how everything worked and where to find things. They had thoughtfully provided a welcome basket of local produce to get us started, and we enjoyed these goodies. They were also happy to provide information and tips on places to visit. The apartment is well equipped and furnished in a comfortable, homely style. The highlight has to be the garden room! It is so relaxing to sit there gazing out over the magnificent garden and listening to the birds. The garden is truly amazing - it is huge, and so well maintained - it is clearly Antonio's passion, and we felt very lucky to share it for a few days. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, and I would say that you do need a car when staying here. We would love to return.

We loved our stay at Claudia's place. The property is wonderful, a lot of animals, a pool and jacuzzi, bikes free to use, place to grill. The place is a perfect getaway to relax. Claudia was very friendly and always there. Will definitely be our top choice next time we visit Sao Miguel.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super, nah am Flughafen und zentral um alle Ecken der Insel schnell zu erreichen. Wir kamen mitten in der Nacht an und wurden trotzdem persönlich empfangen. Das Highlight der Unterkunft ist die Aussicht auf das Meer aus dem Schlafzimmer, aber auch der Rest der Unterkunft ist sehr schön und gemütlich.

Lotus House was sensational! We were a family group ranging in ages from 17 months old to 67 years old , and the house and property were comfortable and suitable for all ages. We were thrilled to see papayas and bananas growing in the yard. The kitchen really is well equipped- we fell in love with the espresso machine. There are comfortable mattresses on all the beds and plenty of towels and bath supplies. The heated pool, hot tub, and grounds made being at home so much fun. Even when it was 56 degrees and raining we were in the pool, and it was still comfortable. The AL Acores management team was impressively responsive. We had a very minor plumbing issue which was fixed within hours. When we arrived there were diapers in the crib, which was very thoughtful, and when one of the kids needed to see a doctor, we got excellent advice and thoughtful followup check-ins. I've stayed in a lot of airbnbs, and this is definitely one of the best.

Amaaaazing place! The house is huge, fully equipped with everything you may need and more! The views are one of a kind: mountains, ocean, green everywhere. Wake up to the sound of birds, beautiful evenings watching the sunset. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Communication was on point, friendly and fast. Everything exceeded our expectation. Best value for money in all Azores.

Mooi domein, huisje met alle benodigdheden. Zeer rustig gelegen. Auto is noodzakelijk. Je krijgt heel veel informatie van de host. Geen bakkerij/ winkeltje in het dorp. Wel in andere nabijgelegen dorpjes en er is een broodservice. Enige minpuntje, weinig plaats om valiezen open te leggen.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment is spacious (which was great for our little daughter) und bright. It had everything that we needed (even a chair for our daughter) and we felt welcomed from the first moment. We really liked the way it was decorated. The location is ideal for exploring the whole island and the next supermarket and restaurant is right around the corner. Thank you Teresa for your fast answers and your help! We will definitly recommend your place.

Vila Vista Vale was so beautiful! We felt like we had a whole resort to ourselves! The garden and pool were amazing! It was so nice to have outdoor spaces to eat or enjoy our coffee. The pool was such a fun place to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen was well stocked and the welcome basket was so thoughtful! We were able to walk to the parks and hot springs, the store and the restaurants. It was also a great location for driving to enjoy the nearby sites like the beach and the tea plantation. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone wanting an awesome home base for the island of Sao Miguel. Raul was very responsive to my messages and proactive to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible!

Wir wurden mit frischen Eiern der eigenen Hühner und einer Ananas empfangen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Farmhaus von Patricia, welche immer schnell erreichbar war, das Farmhaus ist traumhaft und bietet vom eigenen Garten aus einen schönen Blick auf das Meer. Das Farmhaus bietet Alles, um sich sofort wohl zu fühlen.

Pedro and his family are super hosts. The home was fantastic and everything was just perfect. A fantastic stay enjoyed by all 8 of us.
