Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Port Underwood

Annemarie and Chris’ place was so beautiful, truly heavenly. The kayaks were a great adventure for our girls! The artistic details and decor were incredible. Coffee was 🙌🏻. Will be back.

Beautiful remote spot but also close enough to drive to Havelock if required. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay but our little one still enjoyed stomping in the rain and looking at the animals. Close to nice walking tracks.

We stayed for 4 nights - grandparents and three grandchildren aged 12 to 15. Very good location. Fantastic to watch the ferries and views of Picton. had a great time strolling around Picton and Waikawa Bay. Very good facilities. Very clean. May come back some day.

Great place to stay for a family. Clean, spacious and has lots of extras that make the stay nicer and easier. Also loved the treats waiting for us. Would recommend.

Hosts were very friendly and resposive when we encountered issues with the place and issue was rectified super fast... had a nice welcome note as well as a bottle of wine which was a fantastic gesture to have... Loved our nights stay at yoour lovely yet charming home. Wished we could have stayed longer!!

Good host to deal with, we got to town sooner than we thought we would, no problem checking in early...

We enjoyed our time in Moenui. The Bach was homely and we particularly enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the view. We made use of the nearby boat ramp and mooring along with kayak provided for our use. Really helpful host - we would definitely stay again for a peaceful getaway.

I highly recommend this property as it had amazing views of Malborough Sound. Sitting on the balcony was very peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of heating which made the apartment cosy. There is a hot tub on the balcony to sit in and enjoy the views. Sky TV had lots of channels which was appreciated. Would stay again.

A compact apartment that packed in everything we needed. Full kitchen, comfortable seating with views across town to sea from large picture window, great bed (also with views to sea), handy storage alcoves for clothes and suitcases, shower with plentiful hot water, and - the nicest surprise - a great size deck with bbq. There's no full photo of deck so we worried it might be tiny but loved it and the views to sea and mountains. It is overlooked by the picture window of the rear unit, this was never a problem and we used it often as weather was great. Short walk to town (we dont drive), handy supermarket and host's cafe and bar recommendations. Just one design flaw; the L-shape breakfast bar fits 2 stools under but only one human when you pull out the stools! It was a pity not to have comfortable dining space when evenings got cooler and we ate indoors. Overall an excellent choice and great value for Picton.

Kirsty's place is definitely 'the pick of Picton'. The view over the sounds from the balcony was unbelievable. We so enjoyed watching the Interislander come and go in the Port opposite the apartment. The building is very secure, safe ad quiet. The apartment was huge and easily accommodates six people comfortably. The kitchen was very well-equipped if you want to cook but there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance to eat out. We did a lovely Beachcomber cruise through the Sounds and we only had to walk literally three minutes down the road to catch the boat. If you are considering this property, don't think twice. It is truly superb.

Quiet, secure. Easy access to restaurants and pub; we appreciated the laundromat a short walk away. Nice amenities in the apartment.

The place is right next to the water and it has great views. Got to view the ferry boats coming and going. I was moved to a different apartment in the same apartment complex due to the lift not working at my original booking. I was grateful for that though because it saved me the hassle of having to lug my luggage upstairs. Great location, lots of restaurants and shops just downstairs.

So glad we stayed here. Very comfortable home with a fantastic view. This ended up being our favourite place to stay during our NZ holiday.
