Private suite holiday rentals in Port Alberni

This was one of the most memorable stays we've had throughout all our years travelling. The photos truly don't capture how great this place is. We had a private spa surrounded by a beautiful forest - it was magical. The backyard is very private and it was super quiet. The unit has every amenity and we'd recommend anyone stay here for a romantic getaway and hope we can come back one day!

Perfect for my trip to Cumberland! Dave & Maggy's place was the ideal spot for visiting town. Right next to trails and main street. It is a very private room with everything you need. Spacious area and very comfortable. I loved my stay and will definitely try to come back. Highly recommended! They are great hosts.

Perfect location for trail walks, seaside walks and great bakery near by. The kitchen was amazing and so much fun to cook in. The beds were comfortable and living area spacious. Danielle and Mark was great for communication and checking in to see if we needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

A perfect 3-night retreat from our stresses: peaceful, private, beautiful views, comfortable, spacious, wonderfully appointed and feeling welcome. Many places to explore within 10 minutes alone. As enthusiastic cooks, our meals were prepped in the efficient kitchenette, cooked on the BBQ and enjoyed on the patio with views! For special meals, we highly recommend Lighthouse Pub (aka Buchaneer resto) with its excellent food and prices and view of Sechelt Inlet.

Great location, path next to the house and only about 5 mins to the closest beach. Also walkable to town where there are many restaurants and whale watching (highly recommend). Not too far from all the beautiful beaches and hikes in Pacific Rim. Close to the Wild Pacific Trail which was absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect spot to come back to after a day of exploring. Very comfortable bed, it was cozy and extremely clean. Loved the Mint products. Would stay again!

Stephen and Ivan’s place was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay while just being a quick drive away from local restaurants and shops if you wanted to go out. The hot tub was a nice way to end our day after walking through smugglers cove. Would stay here again!

We had a lovely stay, it was very clean, comfortable, and a very nice location. There is plenty of spices, oil, and other cooking needs. We really appreciated there being coffee and a baby high chair and playpen/ travel crib! June was always very quick to respond and answer any questions. The area was so beautiful, you could see the ocean from the street and there is a lovely dog friendly beach down the road. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be rebooking if we visit nanimo again!

We would highly recommend Eva’s place for a stay in Nanaimo North. Everything was exactly as the photo’s showed. The suite is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable! Eva was responsive to our needs, with recommendations for places to see & to eat. Every query was answered quickly. She is basically an encyclopedia of knowledge on the area! We would definitely book with her again should we be back in the area. Don’t hesitate…..just book!

We had a lovely stay in Jennifer’s spacious and clean suite. It is well equipped for families with a perfectly sized, dark room with a travel crib already set up as well as a toy bin in the living room. As expected staying below a family with young children, there was some noise from upstairs but we found it very quiet from 8pm to 8am. Our dog also enjoyed the yard and sunny patio. We would stay again!

The suite is beautiful and had everything our family needed. We appreciated the children’s dish ware and utensils as well as the books and games. The suite was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It’s a really beautiful 5 km loop run or walk from the suite door to Rathtrevor beach and back! It’s was a pleasure staying and Jill was friendly and responsive. We hope to stay again!

Clean, private and peaceful retreat stocked with all the amenities a family needs to make a meal. Within walking or driving distance for the stunning West Pacific Trail! Beautiful town to explore with interesting shops and galleries to explore. The aquarium was informative with knowledgeable staff.

This was the perfect weekend getaway. Charlotte was so friendly and proactive with her communication. Before we arrived it was easy to communicate and the amenities and descriptions were perfect. Charlotte was friendly and yet gave us our space to relax. This Airbnb has the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space making it great for sunshine or rainy weather. Check-in was very easy and so was check-in. Expectations were clear. We enjoyed every minute in paradise.

We had a wonderful stay at Sherry and Dale’s place! From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and coziness of the suite. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a great selection of spices and cooking utensils. The sofa was super comfortable, and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from for a relaxing night in. Having an in-suite washer and dryer was a huge convenience. The location is great too—Neck Point Beach is within a 30-minute walk, which made for a lovely outing. The only minor issue was that the bathroom sink seemed a bit clogged, but it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience. Would definitely recommend!

This spot is so beautiful. It has everything. The view is amazing, there’s a work out room, kayaks, hot tub, trampoline. We hope to return !

Fantastic bang for your buck. Clean, tidy and has just enough kitchen cookware to stay multiple nights comfortably with 3 to 5 people.

Came into town for a women's mountain bike festival and could not have asked for a more perfect spot. 5 blocks from the event and trails, great access to restaurants and small grocery/convenience. Studio was immaculate and had everything you could need in the kitchen. Felt safe and secure and private. Highly recommend

Airbnb looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean with a lot of thoughtful touches like local products including soap and coffee that are made on the island. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you needed. Favourite part was having a morning coffee on the backyard deck with views of the valley. Location is very peaceful but still close to town (if you have a car). Kelly and her partner were very responsive and hospitable! Highly recommend this Airbnb!

Very nice and comfortable suite on a quiet street, would definitely recommend. I was only there for a quick visit, but appreciated everything set up perfectly in the kitchen and upstairs. It was a quick drive to downtown Nanaimo and I loved the nearby beaches. Thank you for the thoughtful touches!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. James &Helga have kept place clean and private with spectacular views just like photos. They even offered us early check in without asking. The jam tastes amazing , if you are there do not miss to try it out. Our overall experience was great.

This is my second stay - our go to place for attending Amateur Ladies Golf ⛳️ Tournament. Just 15 minutes away. Only there for showers, sleep and coffee. Works for us. See you next year.

It was beyond wonderful stay at Iris place! Her home was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the provided French press coffee and gourmet teabags, the lovely and cozy shared patio, the provided barbecue grill just for ourselves. It was indeed a home away from home. The location is perfect, and just about 15-minute walk from the supermarket, liquor store and all the restaurants. Her hospitality and kindness truly made our trip unforgettable, and we’d love to stay here again in the future. Thanks again for everything, Iris!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Urban Garden Suite! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless, comfortable, and stress-free. The home was beautifully organized, spotless, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed. It’s clear that a lot of care and thought goes into every detail. Gigi and Anne were also incredibly responsive and kind. Always quick to help with anything we needed, which made a big difference in making us feel welcome and at ease.
