Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Ocho Rios

Marcia og Richard var så søde og imødekommende. De hjalp os meget. Vi var to unge piger som rejste rundt alene, men vi følte os rigtig sikre og hjemme hos Marcia og Richard. Vi kan klart anbefale denne Airbnb til alle der gerne vil bo lidt uden for Ocho Rios, samt have en mere lokal oplevelse. Dog kan man nemt tage en rute taxa ind til byen. Alt var som det skulle være. Dog havde vi lidt problemer med wifi. Ellers en virkelig god oplevelse hos de sødeste værter.

I offered Sheril a handshake upon departing and I received a hug....I am a first time user of Airbnb and cannot believe that the experience was so wonderful . Ofcourse I was skeptical at first but upon arrival , all that changed in a heartbeat. I was ushered inside and introduced to everyone and was directed to my room which had the most gorgeous view of the cove below Tower Isle . We interacted as family during my stay and the most delicious breakfast was prepared and ready each morning at the prearranged time...not a minute later....Room is spacious and lines and towels are nice and fresh....It definitely feel like home !

This place is perfect for an authentic experience of Jamaica, its people and nature. For me, Jamaica is mostly about nature, so due to the location of this place, you can experience the nature of Jamaica and its hills. Just the view itself is worth staying there. On top of that, however, you get two fabulous hosts, who will take care of you and even provide you with breakfast and dinner, which you should definitely try, since both are two of the best meals we had on the island! During our stay we had the whole house by ourselves, meaning that we had access to the lounge area and bar, which was absolute great and useful. All in all, if you are planning to stay in Ochos Rios, book the Lion House, stop looking any further, this place is the best! However, we would mostly recommend it to travelers with access to a car, since the place is up the hill and not located in the city center, but it is still the best way to experience Ochos Rios.

Stunning! Don’t let the lack of reviews fool you (you can find plenty elsewhere if you look them up). Elise’s place is well established and immaculately kept. We stayed in the Upper Room which was just beautiful. We happened to be the only ones staying, so we also had full reign of the pool area as well. Again, very well kept. We ate here three nights of the four, breakfast and dinner. The food changed daily and we got to try a real range of local dishes. All delicious. But the real stars here are Elise and her family. They were so accommodating and welcoming. It was a real home away from home. It’s not far from the centre at all, but walking around the area is not the easiest. Elise was very quick to arrange transport for us, and our driver Patrick was an extension of the Blue House family - accommodating, helpful and took us wherever we needed to go. Thank you so much Elise! I hope to be back one day.

What a find! We had the best stay at The Blue House. Elise & Darryl made us feel like part of the family. The accommodation was clean and as described in the photos. The pool area was beautiful and so peaceful. The food,cooked by Darryl was some of the best food I have ever eaten. We will definitely be back to stay here and would highly recommend it. Thank you Elise, Darryl and all is the team for looking after us and making our first trip to Jamaica truly special. X

Geddes Great House is truly a unique stay in an amazing historical and natural environment. The views from the property of the surrounding hills of St Ann is breathtaking and cannot be fully captured on camera. The birdlife* is exceptional and Denice with staff went out of their way to make my stay there special and comfortable. Before the visit she contacted me several times to make sure I would get the optimal experience! Go for a walk in the valley, plunge in the pool or listen to the staff speak about the history of Geddes Estate - its architecture, antique furniture, and artefacts - but also the horrors of slavery. The food was excellent, with a well-cooked local menu made with local ingredients (fruits, vegetables, and fish)...
