Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Nanyuki

What a gorgeous location and fantastic host! We were 5 adults, one 5 year old and one teenager and had a very relaxing weekend . What we loved - Stunning views, beautiful A frame house with well kept rooms, fresh linen. Bonus - friendly dogs, lovely horses , amazing sunrise views. Room for slight improvement - carry sleeping masks if you sleep in, as the A frame window design makes it hard for the curtains to fully block out the morning sunrays. What was unbeatable - Wizzy is extremely responsive and helpful host. Something to try when you visit - Wizzy and John are incredible and they have a great horse riding training school - 4 of us had lessons and really enjoyed it. I chickened out after it rained a bit, but I guesse leaves something to do for the next trip! Overall quite happy and highly recommend.

This is an amazing place. The animals, views of Mt Kenya and the walking are exceptional. If you are looking for peace, quiet and space then you will not find better.

We really enjoyed our stay in this villa off the beaten track. It is close to Nanyuki but just far enough to really enjoy the nature and birds. The housekeeper makes you feel at home right away and arranged affordable transport whenever we needed it. We especially enjoyed the terrace with the view over mt Kenya. We watched the sunset here every day. It is a perfect hide out for doing remote work or for a relaxing vacation. The area offers some nice walks across the river and the country side.

Hellen is Great host and she has amazing house keepers. If you are looking for a place to stay within Nanyuki, I would highly recommend Hellens place.

Heated swimming pool was great. Very spacious house. Beautiful and clear view of the much loved Mount Kenya. Comfortable beds with extra blankets for the cold nanyuki weather. A few issues with cleanliness of the kitchen but overall a great place if you dont mind loud music. Would recommend to anyone having a party or gathering.

Marion's place is amazing. It is well kept amd clean. In a serene area, with a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya. Maina the caretaker was wonderful and very responsive to our inquiries. I would definitely recommend. thank you so much.

We loved the tranquility at the cottage, exactly what we needed to begin the new year. The fact that we had the unit to ourselves was amazing, perfect for couples. We got raw cow milk daily for free & even green vegetables when we requested. There was everything we needed & more, loved the home made chili offered. Catherine the help was too kind & always available to help, she’s a gem. We shall definitely be back especially because there was great Starlink Wifi! Only thing is, don’t expect calls on Safaricom or Airtel networks so it’s great when you don’t need to be on call 😀 Cheers to a great start of the year Dion 😇🙏🏽🤓 Tip; it’s near Solio conservancy, take the turn at the PCEA Nanyuki church signage, drive 2.7kms & you won’t miss it ☺️

A beautiful stylish eco retreat - a lovely getaway and peaceful weekend away with friends. Sarah was accomodating and a good communicator and Kelvin and Albert were friendly and helpful. As listed, the house is quite far from Nanyuki town, so make sure to take all your supplies with you- and a 4WD was needed (especially in the wet season!) Thanks for a lovely stay!

Thank you for a lovely stay. The Shepherds huts are beautiful on the inside and so comfortable. The restaurant onsite is great. Highly recommend.

The place was great. The access to Maiyan and their wonderful food was also great. The road to access the area is not. Hopefully this improves in time. We arrived after dark, and it took us quite a while from town. The directions took us right to the front gate, so no problem there. All in all, it was a great place and we will be back next time we are in Nanyuki.

We had a lovely time at Lavender Villa and will definitely be back again!

amazing host, enjoyed my stay there

The place was beautiful. Actually more than I expected. The pool was beautiful, heated and private. There was a small river than runs next to the place and I understood that you can do a short hike. The breakfast was great and had all manner of assortments. I had a late breakfast and they still accommodated me. The room was pretty good and clean. Several amenities came with the room with a small backyard where one can even make their own food. Betty and all the staff at the hotel are the standard for good customer service. Helpful, courteous and always smiling. Being in Nanyuki its close to the center where there's quite a few activities one can do. Not to mention its right next to trout tree restaurant. The stay was great and am already looking forward to going back.

Batian House is a home away from home. I was particularly impressed by the simple but elegant furnishings - no overkill. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a calm quiet time in the wild.

Everything was great, very clean and organizied.

On arrival we were welcomed by Raymond & Kendi at the front. Once signed in Kendi directed us to the tent and assisted with the luggage. Upon the first few days the team and especially Maggie and Anthony made us feel welcomed and were attentive to every need. The location is beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The local wildlife is also there to make you welcome, they will make some sounds in the night but don’t fear as the security measures in this place are top notch. Peter and Eric are great at helping prepare your rooms for the evening and are great guides to take you around the grounds in the evening ensuring your safety. You can go for a local hike, ask for Isaac Mwangi as he’s a local database. Finally Betty and her cohost were amazing, responsive and very proactive making for a stellar experience. I can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The host was responsive and ready to assist us in anything we needed.

Zilpers place is wonderful, there's enough parking, the place is secure and serene. (Actually you can see mt kenya from the house), Zilper is also a wonderful host i must say. She is welcoming qs well. The house is clean with everything that you need.

The host was such a nice soul. The place was cosy and ideal. I would stay here again and again.

We enjoyed our stay at the place. The place is near the CBD and easy to reach. They are well stocked with all the necessities you may need. The beds and beddings were clean and comfortable in a quite neighborhood.

Enjoyed our stay, the place is very comfy and met our expectations. Maina is a great host & went to some great lengths to make our stay pleasant.

Robin's place is the place to be. We were two couples and our children. It was raining but were able to access the house without any problem with ordinary cars. The house is simple and smart, warm and well done, very very clean. All the facilities listed are available. Our children enjoyed the pool table. Robin was very responsive and kept checking on us. The caretaker Mr. Wachira was a great man. He is humble, good listener, obedient, and could offer alternatives. He sourced for us a huge chicken on short notice which we enjoyed. It was chilly outside but the house was very warm plus is had a room heater that made it even more warm. Robin also guided us on the areas to visit and he further linked us with his friend at Olpajeta who was of great assistance to us especially with the rainy weather and impassable roads to the conservancy. Maggie is an awesome host. She made me feel right at home and the place is great value for money. The neighbourhood has been perfect for walking my dog. The compound is quiet, private and secure, with a nice gazebo to chill and enjoy the sun. Highly recommended!
