Lovely and authentic farm experience!

We and our two puppies throughly enjoyed our weekend away at the Old Copper Shed. The farm was peaceful, quiet with amazing sunrises and sunsets. The unique copper aesthetic was one to remember and I would highly recommend the stay to anyone looking for a little sho’t left on the weekend. Bring your pets with as ours loved the freedom of the open veld. Thank you to Adriaan for the great hospitality.

Wonderful old farm house with many original features. Lovely peaceful setting and very good value for money. Great for families & groups. Even has an outside play area for children. The workman on site (think Jacobus) was welcoming and attentive. He even lit of fire for us. Some might find the bathrooms rather dated, but this didn't bother me. Would love to return.

Fantastic stay on the farm and much more spacious then we anticipated. We will be back!

If you are looking to disconnect with real life and connect with nature then this is the place to go! We had a lovely stay at River Lodge at Karoo Ridge Conservancy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and considerate with providing a camping cot and feeding chair for our baby and a net over the pool. Everything you need is there. We also did some of the hikes from the River Lodge and went for a great game drive with sundowners. Our dogs enjoyed the space as well. With no cell reception and WIFI at the lodge (only available at the reception shop), this is exactly what we need d for our breakaway. We will definitely visit again.

It was an awesome stay with friendly hosts. Beautiful setting and peaceful on the farm. We will definately be back and can highly recommend this accommodation and the hosts!

We stayed at this property for two nights. It is located on a remote working farm with lots of animals and beautiful surroundings. The unit is very comfortable and equipped. The hosts were very helpful with input about roads during the rainy season which helped us with our itinerary. It was a pleasant stay.

The drive to the house already gets you excited, through towns we had never heard of, absolutely exquisite nature and then finally you get to the turn and you can just about see the house on the “hill”. Animals on your doorstep, the pool overlooking the animals, it was spectacular. The house itself was very well equipped with everything we needed. This is a place we would definitely return to, but next time not just as a stopover, we would stay. It is beyond peaceful. Talk about peaceful… you might need a few peaceful sleep bottles :D you are in the middle of nature, surrounded by nature. There were a lot of mosquitoes during the night and of course Hennie was right, do not leave any lights on… we left 1 kitchen light on, the next morning there were like a million bugs (moths) flying around that light, and it is not an exaggeration :D Again, this is part of the charm, it is part of nature and I wish we could stay a bit longer, but next time! Thanks Hennie :)

Lovely farm setting for some quiet time and break away from city life. Slept like a baby, felt rejuvenated. The little extras like wood, biscuits, apples, milk etc. Was really a big surprise and made us feel even more at home.

Loved our stay! It was out of town which was so nice, beautifully peaceful. The yard is huge, great to have lots of space. We had a hire car and felt safe when it was in the driveway locked behind the gate. Lily was amazingly helpful and super responsive! The perfect place for exploring Maun and the Delta. 😃

A true farm stay surrounded by other buildings and some farm activity. If unwinding and relaxing is what you need then this is perfect.

Beautiful place to stay! Such lovely surprise with the home made bread on arrival! Even the river flooding we could still use all the facilities. Caley communicated well and always stayed in touch. There is no cellphone signal but they have wifi!

Natasha’s place is absolutely spectacular, surrounded by beautiful nature and a wide variety of animals. It’s the perfect retreat for families, couples, and dogs, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors in total freedom. Natasha was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we also want to warmly thank the housekeeper, who took great care of us and helped us so much during our stay. It was truly a wonderful experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine hospitality.

You want get more Karoo then this. Place has a modern touch which radiates warmth and comfort.

This stay is excellent value for money. All amenities you can wish for is available and the host is extremely friendly. The beds are excellent quality and the rest of the property is comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness is absolutely excellent as well. We will revisit this stay again!!

This place was beyond amazing. Everything was perfect, the beauty, the location, the house itself, the surroundings. Don and Evelyn were pretty much the best airbnb hosts we ever had. So much amazingness =))

Amazing getaway location. Best host of all hosts I have met. Regularly checking in to see if there is anything she can do to make my stay better.

Beatrice and Henni were incredibly warm and welcoming—true hosts in the original spirit of Airbnb. Beatrice has plenty of stories to tell and is one of the kindest people we’ve met. Staying on their farm gave us an authentic glimpse into Namibian farm life. The braai was the best we had in the country. We’re still craving that butternut squash! One of the most memorable parts of our stay was heading out into the bush and riverbeds to bundu-bash on ATVs, with their lovely dogs trotting alongside (sometimes riding in the ATVs) us. Beatrice also gave us a tour of their vast farm—its scale is breathtaking from the hilltop. Our only regret was not staying longer.

There were only 3 of us but the cottage caters for 6. The area is stunning, it had snowed and Hester kept me informed as to the state of the roads due to the snow. The cottage was cosy, had a wood fire and electric blankets so perfect.

What a gem and great value. The pictures don't fully do the surrounding and views justice! There are 3 chalets and each have their own outdoor fire pit which is super well equipped - we absolutely loved spending each evening around the fire. The beds were super comfortable covered in winter linen, which was heaven. Small gestures like tea, coffee, rusks and milk available on arrival was so sweet. Engela was very helpful and friendly, will most definitely be back.
