Midori, she is the best Air B n B host I have ever the pleasure to communicate with. Before, even stepping a foot into her home, the pictures and descriptions are as accurate as can be + more bonuses there are left out. Traveling to Japan (cities) can be hectic, very tight, lots of people and overwhelming, As soon as I walked into her home, an immediate welcoming scent and a perfect home to decompress from a long day (super clean). Her location was perfect for my needs, met really cool locals, markets within a few minute walk and able to get to all my locations within a nice walk and train / bus ride (Shibuya = 2 stops). Japan's hotels are convenient, small, tight, but will never give you a homely feel. The Cube is the perfect environment for people who want the balance of peace in their vacation without losing the love of Japan, Thank you very much Midori for your hospitality and your above and beyond as a host to your guest....... 100-year-old dormitory guest house toco.

super nice for a 4 night stay in Tokyo! it’s close to two train stations so it’s easy to get to from the airport and then get anywhere else, but for someone who likes to walk a lot (like me), it’s in good proximity to Asakusa and Akihabara which is great! The kitchen/common area is a bit small but very cozy, and the dorm rooms are bunk beds that are also very comfortable. The only thing I’d say is that it can get a bit noisy if people are walking around/talking at night, but it is a 120ish year old building so that’s to be expected. The hosts are really friendly and did a great job explaining the place and were happy to help with any questions :) and you get one free drink at the bar attached to it every night! Would definitely recommend.

Haru-san is an amazing host and is a testament to Japanese hospitality. We struggled to find the AirBNB late at night, and when I called Haru-san for help, he answered. He was incredibly responsive and kind for the whole trip. The house is beautiful and comfortable— perfect for any traveling family. Slightly out of the way of central Tokyo, but near two major train stations and only a short ride to places like Tokyo Disney and Yokohama. I recommend this place very highly. Thank you Haru-san, happy travels everyone!

Great stay! Lovely top floor flat with balcony, laundry in the flat worked well and plenty of hanging equipment to dry it outside. Great location v near subway station and 3 convenience stores and a grocery store (if you’re craving some vegetables!). Well equipped living space. Futons don’t suit me very well, but everyone else in the group loved the futon mattress bunk beds! Everything was very clean

Hiroyuki's accommodation was really beautiful. I was looking for a place to stay because of the cost, and I chose a place a little far from downtown Tokyo, but it was an excellent choice. I was worried that it would take a long time to get to Shibuya, but it was quick to get to Shibuya in about 20 minutes by taking the Toyoko Line! The host is also very kind, and even if you don't know Japanese, you can communicate in English to some extent, and he will come out to meet you when you arrive at the station. Even if you have a lot of luggage, you can easily get to the accommodation. If you walk about 5 minutes from the accommodation, there are a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, cafes, etc. because it's a college town. The accommodation was also quiet and comfortable because it was a tatami room. I hate the smell of disinfectant from bedding and towels in hotels, but Hiroyuki's place didn't have that, so it was so nice. I slept comfortably. When I was going back, my bag was heavy, so it was hard, but he took me to the station, so I went back easily. He's really kind, and I definitely want to go to this place again next time.

I stayed for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was spotless, peaceful, and beautifully decorated in a traditional Japanese style. Everything from the kitchenware to the bedding was thoughtfully prepared, making my stay incredibly comfortable. What truly made this trip special were the hosts, Tatsu and Aina. They welcomed me so warmly and were always available to answer questions or offer helpful tips. Their kindness and hospitality made me feel completely at home. Communication was effortless, as they both speak excellent English. One of the highlights of my stay was the local walking tour of Shinjuku and the Japanese sake tasting experience they recommended. Both tours were absolutely fantastic—full of hidden gems I never would’ve found on my own. If you’re staying here, I highly recommend asking the hosts about these experiences. They made my trip unforgettable!!!
