Holiday rentals with a kayak in Munster

Our stay at John’s charming Boathouse, recently, was wonderful from start to finish. The sea view was mesmerising, the sea-scented clean air a treat to breathe, the garden tranquil and inviting and the beach the icing on the cake. Walking into The Boathouse for the first time was like the warm hug of coming home. The location is safe and welcoming, the locals friendly and open. John himself is engaging, friendly, always on hand if needed and full of friendly tips and conversation. We loved staying here and it was hard to say goodbye.

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house is beautiful and has a lot to offer. The location is private and you have a nice view over the lake. Paul made great suggestions for activities and answered quickly. Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderfull time in Illian's house. The house was very cosy, very well equiped with an amazing view. We occupied all the beds and there was still a perfect amount of space for all all of us to feel confortable. It is also a very good location to exolore this part of West Cork, Mizen head (windy and impressive in winter !), Dunlough Castle, the very nice villages of Goleen and Schull, Crookhaven and all the beaches around starting by Barleycove of course ! We have spent an epic winter week, walking around all day, and coming back to a very nice wood fire at night. I would definetly recommand the experience ! The communication with Illian was very easy and he's always been very reactive and helfull !

Five stars for Caragh Lake House and Ettienne! Spectacular setting, well-appointed, spacious quarters, lovely decorated and unbeatable view! Ettienne was the most responsive and attentive host we have ever experienced with AirBNB, thoughtfully meeting us at his home for a personal tour, leaving us fresh goodies in the kitchen, and arranging dinner, golf and fishing reservations. He was a message away with any questions we had or guidance we needed. We noticed and appreciated all the special touches throughout his home. Don’t miss the hike within walking from the Lake House, unbelievably stunning views at the top! We hope to someday return to CLH.

Fergal’s house is beautifully designed , extremely comfortable and very well equipped . Even though we didn’t cook there it had absolutely everything you would need . The view was mesmerizing and it is perfectly set up for outdoor relaxation if the weather would cooperate. We wished we could have stayed longer . Truly outstanding house in a super location with the village 5 minutes walk and a little beach 2 minutes away .

The pictures of this place and its views on the listing do not even do it justice — the setting is spectacular and the perfect place for my family to rest and spend time together. Would highly recommend!

We can’t wait to come back here! We’ve just returned from 4 nights staying in easily the nicest Airbnb we’ve ever booked; the photos don’t do this place justice. We’d initially planned to spend most of our time exploring the ring of Kerry but changed our plans to spend as much time at the house instead. The kayaks, sauna and use of the lake made for a really enjoyable weekend of family fun. Lorraine and Claire were fantastic hosts! We will be recommending this place to everyone!

House was so nice. Everything we could need was there. Towels, cooking equipment, toiletries. House finished to a very high standard and very clean. Also had milk, eggs, tea, coffee and even a loaf of fresh bread! TamiJoy was very responsive with any questions we had. The house was warm and plenty of room to park. Would highly recommend.

Ein wunderschönes mit Liebe eingerichtetes Cottage in atemberaubender Lage! Super freundlicher und herzlicher Empfang! Der Unterkunft lässt keine Wünsche übrig! Thomas und Regula waren immer ansprechbar und tolle Tipps waren im Haus hinterlegt. Highlight war der Wintergarten und Garten mit Blick aufs Meer. Bei schlechtem Wetter lädt ein gemütlicher Ofen zum Entspannen vor dem Feuer ein. Sehr erholsam!!!

Really enjoyed our time at Fiona’s place. The location is perfect and unbelievably scenic. The town of Cahersiveen about 30min walk or 5 minute drive. A couple of gorgeous beaches within same distance. The house was perfect, it was super clean, had everything we need and there’s a little welcome pack of break milk butter etc which felt very welcoming Fiona herself was very responsive and helpful Overall couldn’t fault the house, the town, the host. If you’re looking for a quiet break in arguably the most scenic area in Ireland then this is ideal

Loved the location and felt very at home straightaway - felt private and secure within the grounds of the estate with easy access to the the main house to Brian (Host) if required Cashel is a simply beautiful place and was such a highlight in our travels - would absolutely stay here again. We had a truly memorable stay at Little Cregg in Glandore last week. The location is stunning, with panoramic views over Tralong Bay that we enjoyed from morning to evening — whether relaxing on the new patio or watching the changing light from the comfort of the living room. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, and extremely well-equipped. Everything we needed was there — from a well-stocked kitchen and BBQ to beach towels, books, games, and even a first aid kit. On arrival, we were delighted to find a lovely welcome of wine and local produce, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. We spent our days swimming, kayaking, and walking the quiet country lanes to the nearby jetty, taking full advantage of the private path down to the peaceful beach below the garden. The outdoor warm shower was a great bonus after time in the sea. While we made day trips to places like Baltimore, Skibbereen, and Rosscarbery, the house and its surroundings were so relaxing we often pref

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage. I was a nervous driver, new to Ireland’s country roads, so getting to the house was a little scary, but we loved the privacy the place held once there. Definitely a rustic cabin, but appreciated the supplies keeping the fire roaring for nice hot showers and baths. As an American, I was probably more disappointed by having no freezer or a way to keep ice, but that’s just me. My husband and I enjoyed the nights playing scrabble and reading. Truly a place to be immersed in Irish country bliss.

Lovely cozy cottage overlooking the water with great outdoor terrace and a sauna to warm up after a cold swim at nearby Clahane. The cottage is a short drive to Lahinch, the Burren, and the Cliffs of Moher, and a short walk to some lovely pubs and eateries in nearby Liscannor. Highly recommended!

Francis was a very good host to us, forthcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in the simple, yet beautiful cottage and especially having some farm animals around.

quiet and charming rural accommodation. short drive, 10 mins, to nearest village Knoctopher for food ,fuel etc. convienient for Kilkenny city also and the wonderful Lingaun valley full of archaeological sites and of historical interest
