We had an amazing experience staying at this beautiful and comfortable home. The neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation—from a fully equipped kitchen perfect for preparing any meal, to spacious rooms that made us feel right at home. In the evenings, we enjoyed unwinding with movies on the large TV. The location is fantastic, serving as a great base for exploring iconic cities like Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, and Koblenz. Excellent restaurants are just around the corner, and for quick grocery runs, Aldi is only about a five-minute drive away. This property truly stands out as one of the most stunning places we’ve ever stayed. Michael was exceptionally responsive and kind, always keeping communication clear and helpful. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.

A nice house with plenty of space, in a pleasant area. The kitchen is very well equipped and I loved the fact that all of the cupboards and drawers had little labels on to show what was inside - a handy little touch. The dining area is very comfortable with a large, sturdy table. We stayed for a couple of nights during a period of very warm weather and really appreciated the fact that it was easy to open the very large windows and get a nice breeze blowing through. The only slight drawbacks were a slow-draining shower, a lack of comfy living room furniture (one nice chair - the other two items are IKEA pull-out beds with hard backs), the very heavy door on the dishwasher (the door tension is broken, so it opened without any resistance and nearly flattened the dog!) and a missing garden gate so the dogs had to be kept on their leashes when in the garden, but these are very minor things when compared to the positive points about the accommodation. I would happily stay there again.

Der Aufenthalt bei Burkhardt war sehr angenehm, er hat und als große Mädelsgruppe sehr freundlich empfangen 😊 Das Haus und der Garten sind wirklich sehr schön und gerade für größere Gruppen perfekt!!! Liebe Grüße aus Stuttgart

Sehr unkomplizierter Gastgeber, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft war super, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit kreativen Lösungen für ein Kellerambiente. Wer auf die Möglichkeit, Fernsehen zu schauen Wert legt, sollte einen passenden Account haben (?) Kenn mich damit nicht aus. Für müde Radler perfekt!

ich bin wirklich begeistert, alles hat zu 100 Prozent gestimmt. Eine schöne kleine Wohnung in einem schönen Haus. Sehr ruhig und für mich einfach perfekt. Ich kann diese Wohnung weiterempfehlen.

Ich war für eine Nacht im Rahmen einer mehrtägigen Fahrradreise bei Francesco und Michaela untergebracht. Francesco hat mich überaus freundlich empfangen und ist einfach ein super netter Mensch. Die Wohnung ist top. Es ist tatsächlich eine komplette Wohnung mit Kochgelegenheit, einem Wohnzimmer, einem großen Schlafzimmer und einem tollen Badezimmer. Es war alles sehr sauber und gut organisiert. Ich habe mich sofort total wohl gefühlt und würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn ich mal wieder in Essen bin. Vielen Dank noch einmal an Francesco für die klasse Unterkunft und den netten Kontakt.

Wieder einmal war es total schön und angenehm! Ruth ist eine tolle und sympatische Gastgeberin. Alles, was ich für meine Zwecke brauche, ist vor Ort. Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen!

Adrian’s place served us well for a visit with old friends, who lived in easy walking distance. We especially relished how effective the blackout shades worked in the bedroom! Made for a great sleep. The apartment is spacious, has a nice kitchen and its own outdoor patio. Being on the ground floor was convenient. A grocery store is in easy walking distance. We will stay again when we come back to visit our friends.

Toller Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. Der Gastgeber war freundlich und unkompliziert. Klare Empfehlung!

Meine Tochter und ich waren für eine Nacht in dieser Unterkunft. Es war total gemütlich und super sauber würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Kommunikation war auch super.

Wir waren zu Zweit von Donnerstag bis Sonntag dort und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt! Obwohl wir nur wenig in der Unterkunft waren, einfach weil wir zu einer Messe dort waren, hatten wir genug Zeit für positive Eindrücke :D Wir hatten kostenloses Müsli und Kaffee als Optionen, Fernsehen, ein wirklich sehr bequemes Schlafsofa (Ich muss gestehen, ich habe glaube ich noch nirgends so gut geschlafen?!) und alles war tiptop sauber! Außerdem ist uns positiv aufgefallen, das auch Rücksicht auf die Nachbarn genommen wurde und wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und aufgenommen :3 Kann ich daher zur empfehlen als ruhige Unterkunft für zwei Personen!

Claudia war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr schön und stimmig eingerichtetes Apartment in tollen Räumen, modernes Bad + Küche, Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Ruhige aber dennoch stadtnahe Wohngegend. Gerne wieder.

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Es wurde an alle von Klein bis Groß gedacht. Besonders die vorhandene Babyausstattung war für uns prima :)

Wir waren zu Dritt für drei Tage bei Corinna in der Unterkunft. Schon vorher war die Kommunikation super und alles konnte leicht geklärt werden. Corinna war super freundlich und wir konnten uns immer an sie wenden. Sie konnte uns ein paar gute Tips für die Umgebung geben, hatte aber auch einen Ordner in der Wohnung hinterlegt, in dem auch alles nötige zu finden war. Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, schlicht und zeitlos eingerichtet und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Stadt ist über ein paar Treppen gut zu erreichen und man hat alles was man braucht. Insgesamt ein wirklich schöner und problemfreier Aufenthalt. Wir können die Unterkunft also guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank, Corinna. Liebe Grüße, Familie Meier

Public Transport from Stefano's place is very easily accessible. It was a comfy apartment and all the essentials we needed were available. He also kindly helped us keep our luggage bags after Checkout until it was time for our train home. Very much recommending this place!

sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft, Lage und Beschreibung zutreffend, Elke war eine sehr sympathische und freundliche Gastgeberin, wir haben uns direkt wie zuhause gefühlt, schnelle und einfache Kommunikation, Bett und Couch sehr bequem zum ausruhen nach einem anstrengenden Tag Alles in allem waren wir äußerst zufrieden! Es gab keinerlei Komplikationen - wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Really clean apartment. Nice kitchen and very nice rain shower, plus regular shower sprayer & large soaking tub(but narrow). Tub can soak anyone as it’s very long & deep but short legged people may have trouble getting out possibly put a step stool in bathroom. Everything is as you see in the photos. Philip also provided his own iron for my wrinkled clothes! There needs to be an extra key for any guests which aren’t coming & going at the same time because the inner door can only be shut with a key. Very close to the U-bahn and not far of a walk to the old town. Great stay!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser schönen Wohnung. Der eingezäunte Garten war ideal für unsere Hunde, die auch die Spaziergänge am nahen Wasser genossen haben. Alles war tip top sauber und schön eingerichtet - man hat gemerkt, dass sich jemand Mühe gegeben hat. Die Umgebung ist der Wahnsinn und man ist schnell an allen interessanten Orten des Ruhrgebiets. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Beautiful location at the top of a hill, surrounded by nature between Vorhalle, Herdecke and Wetter. You can walk a trail through the woods, down a hill into Herdecke in about 15 minutes. Very comfortable, clean and cozy unit. We were able to keep our bicycles on site and enjoy the unit car-free. I also appreciate that the unit is smoke-free. Stefan and his family are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!
