Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mozambique

We had an AMAZING time at Mel’s place. The place looks exactly it does on the pictures, a dream beach house immersed in the green and with view to the see. However the house needs a bit of maintenance. The AC’s work very well and the beds are super comfy. The communication was super easy and quick. Highly recommend. U won’t regret it

The place is spacious and overlooking an amazing view of green palm trees and the ocean. We only took away positives from our stay.

Very cute house in a quiet location on Pona Malongane. Not easy to find, but Google maps will get you there via Ponta D’Ouro. A 4x4 is needed the sand is very soft. We had a mishap during check in but Mel was responsive and and wonderful about it. There are steps to get to the beach which could be a challenge for elderly people as they are steep. If you want quiet and cozy this is the place!

We stayed for a month at Gwen and Greg’s. The caretaker (Herman) was a legend and ensured a clean place, a friendly environment and good value fresh seafood from local fisher people. We found the view from the deck onto the mangroves excellent and think it more protected from wind and storms than beach views. Fans were provided as well as white goods and a very useful gas bbq. Security overnight was provided by a guard on premises. We went for walks and jogs each day to the beach which is both an easy walk or easy drive

The property was amazing for a beach stay in Ponta do Ouro. It was walking distance from restaurants, supermarkets, and the beach. The rooms were really well kept, and the living room and kitchen were very nice. Catarina and Jordan were great in-person staff and helped us whenever needed. All around it was a great experience and I highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Leone's house. Everything was exactly as advertised, and having a private pool was an excellent addition for all the kids. We had too many people to all fit into the house, so some of the guests camped in the garden, and there was plenty of space for them, including a full bathroom outside the house that they could use. We will be back.

The house is situated on a hill with a fantastic view over Tofinho beach. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful garden. Katija is a very good host, communicative and flexible.

Absolutely amazing and definitely worth it! Lynn was so helpful with even the smallest questions. Thank you for going the extra mile and giving us advice at the border crossing to cooking crayfish. The staff at the house is very pleasant and more than willing to help. The house is beautiful, very spacious and has a great location! I will definitely be going back! ❤

Maria’s place was excellent for us nearby restaurants, shopping and easy way to get to know the city. My family and I loved it.

Es de lejos la casa más bonita de la playa. El alquiler incluye la ayuda de Salma y Tina, dos chicas encantadoras que ayudan con todo lo necesario. Hemos estado felices en la casa y nos encantaría repetir. Si os preocupa la seguridad, deciros que en el jardín vive un guarda (discretísimo, no te enteras pero te da seguridad) y la casa tiene más vecinos cerca de lo que parece en las fotos. Recomiendo fervientemente. Luana responde inmediatamente siempre y nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones de planes.

Paradise found. Casa Oito a simple roff the grid beach home situated on Pomene Ridge with stunning views of sea and estuary. Everything functional, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Camp attendant Armondo cheerful, willing and hard working. Pat a super host deluxe who provided us with comprehensive info and kept in regular contact. A wonderful stay in a pristine piece of paradise. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Anton's place. The picture fit the discription and the house is well maintained. Jeff is an absolute super star and catered for our every need. Anton is extremely helpful and responsive. The swimming pool was a treat and the house had everything we needed. One thing to note is that there is a gentleman who will stop you from taking wood because he sells it to the Guests. Jeff is the most amazing houseman we have had, he is knowledgeable about the area and did not allow the fisherman to overcharge us. There is a restaurant nearby called Blue dolphin which serves the tastiest pizzas. We thank Jeff and Anton for such a memorable stay. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Xai xai, it is tje neatest and best maintained house in the eco estate

Nous avons beaucoup aimé séjourner à la Palm House à Ponta do Ouro. Le logement proposé était impeccable et l'hôte a été présente pour des conseils tout au long de notre voyage. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le travail des deux housekeepers, un grand merci à eux aussi! Nous recommandons à 100%!

We had a wonderful experience at Paz do Pai. This is on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. They have gorgeous buildings, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk through to the sea views. The villas are beautifully decorated and well equipped for your self-catering needs! Every staff member we encountered, from the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to all our friends and family.

A group of 8 of is stayed at Gabriele’s place and we absolutely loved it. We were there for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff member Mimi was so sweet. She made us a delicious breakfast in the morning on the lovely rooftop patio. Would definitely recommend Gabriele’s place to anyone wanting to visit Ilha Moçambique. Muito Obrigada Gabriele!

Super logement avec 4 chambres. Belles vu sur la mer nous avons aperçu des baleines. Super deco. La femme de ménage fait même la vaisselle. Franchement super moment. Pas très facile à trouver il faut un 4x4. Belle expérience encore merci à Jaco très réactif.

We spent 3 days in Macenta. We needed something close to the beach, and this place is definitely that. It’s a quick 2min walk (200m from the ocean), you can hear the ocean from the house. The house itself was amazing! It is bigger than it looks in the pictures. If you want peace and a place to relax, highly recommended! Would definitely visit again. Do pay attention to the directions they send to you. It’s easy to get lost. But the locals are very helpful.

If you looking for lovely sandy beach and secluded beaches with lovely reefs for snorkeling less than 1km away this is the place to be! The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The place is safe and really a lovely home! The resturant less than 200m away serves the best sea food simple menu but made to perfection! Really a great location and perfect place to unwind! ELS is really a great host! Would definitely recommend this holiday home!
