Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mournies

Die Kommunikation mit Electra war super. Nachdem wir ihr gesagt haben, wann wir ankommen, hat sie uns an der Straße in Empfang genommen und zum Haus begleitet. Dort hat sie uns alle Räumlichkeiten gezeigt, zudem gab’s ein Gastgeschenk. Sie hat uns nützliche Informationen zur Erkundung der Umgebung gegeben. Elektra ist ein sehr gastfreundlicher und liebevoller Vermieter. Das Haus selbst war sauber und die Betten komfortabel. Von der Dachterrasse konnte man das Meer erblicken. Die Unterkunft ist nur zu empfehlen🙂

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Desiree was an impeccable accommodation. The place was everything we could have dreamed of and more…location, decor & special touches were top notch. The host Maria was responsive, and her helper Manousos was the nicest man who met us to provide the keys and showed us the place. We loved that this place also comes with parking. Maria’s mom had put together 3 containers of her chicken and potatoes for my family upon arrival. We were also treated with a bottle of wine, snacks, fruits, and bottled water. A water gun was left for our son. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to Chania.

The Location was amazing. Quite and private. Everything was amazing there was nothing to complain about probably the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. Marianna is absolutely amazing. The sweetest and most caring host ever. She gave us so many recommendations and was beyond helpful. I would recommend mend this place to everyone!!

We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. We arrived quite late and were pleasantly surprised to find a cold bottle of wine waiting for us and all the amenities for us to have a late supper. The location was very charming close to the historic district of Chania and the story behind Hestia House added to our stay. Great location for walking and the nearby beaches were a stone throw away. The bedroom and bathroom were very bright and comfortable. If we return to Crete, Hestia House will certainly be our number one choice.

We had a wonderful stay at the home in Chania. The communication was great from the moment we booked the reservation. The host made us feel very welcome and we appreciated all of the food/snacks/drinks provided. We were celebrating a special occasion and the host acknowledged this, remembering from our initial conversation, and left us some special treats and a card that we felt was above and beyond. The parking spot was great to have as we rented a car through Infinity at the host's recommendation. Even with the car, we walked the area and went to the Venetian Harbor everyday which was very close with shopping, restaurants, and people watching. We found the home to be clean and well represented by the pictures. The washer was a fantastic perk we utilized during our stay. We stayed in the lower level bedroom and found the bed to be very comfortable. We would recommend this listing and would stay here again if we returned to Chania.

Gregorious place is a dream. Very authentic and ideally placed in the old town. Attention to detail is fantastic. The host himself is extremely helpful and so much food provided along with all provisions you need. Great place to stay and explore Chania from

Maria is a fantastic host. She met my husband and me at the bus stop and showed us around the apartment and neighborhood, giving us recommendations for dining and things to do. Her apartment is located in the heart of Old Town just steps away from the waterfront, great restaurants (we especially loved Tamam), and shopping. She stocked the apartment with everything we'd need for our visit, including beach towels, breakfast items, candy, guidebooks, and more. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable in a charming building. Despite a decent amount of foot traffic nearby, it was quiet at night. We had the best sleep of our 10-day trip to Greece during our three-night stay. I can't recommend Maria's place enough for a visit to Chania!

What an amazing place. The anti - boutique art cafe is something to experience. When so many places are being turned into “luxury living “ boxes it was delightful to stay in a 500 year old property with all its charm and quirks. Coming home at night to our own a bar was fun. The bed was extremely comfortable and the access to art materials was a real bonus to my artist husband. The kitchen has lots of equipment and the water in the shower has high water pressure and heater only takes a short time to produce VERY hot water. Once the inner door is closed the apartment is very peaceful. Communication with Spiros was excellent. It’s difficult to suggests any improvements. Maybe more pillows. We would appreciate a washing machine but understand this is extra cost. Be aware the cleaner next door sometimes spills water from the balcony into the garden. Just sit to the left. Oh I don’t forget to try the restaurant next door. Thank you Spiros for a lovely stay. A great way to end our 4 weeks.

We had a wonderful stay at Sifi’s. He is easy going, responsive and provided great recommendations. The apartment is beautiful, modern and we felt very comfortable with our stay. Sadly our visit was short since there are plenty to see and do that we didn’t get to do but I would book this place again if we come back.

The location is about a 15-20 min walk from the old city center in a quiet area. At night walking back, the streets can be pretty empty as you go farther away from the old city center. The bed and blanket is very comfortable. Clean, spacious, and lovely space with full amenities as described. Litsa is very friendly and responsive. She sweetly offerred drinks and food throughout my stay. Wifi is good. Movable showerhead has weak water pressure, but no problem with switching between hot and cold water. I would recommend.

Words can’t describe how incredible this home is. Every corner you looked there was a masterpiece to be found. Beautifully decorated is an understatement, this Airbnb was curated over years and years of living. It was nested in the heart of the town. I will 100% be coming back. Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

We had an excellent stay in this beautiful accommodation. It was very clean, well equipped and within walking distance of the city centre. We received very clear instructions before our arrival, which made it easy to find the accommodation and the parking space. We were even treated to some nice touches when we arrived at the flat. Ein großes Dankeschön an Konstantinos und Stelina, die eine wunderschöne Wohnung für ihre Gäste zur Verfügung stellen. Wir waren begeistert von der Aufteilung der Räume, sehr modern mit bodentiefen Fenstern, einer Küche, in der nichts fehlte (selbst eine Salatschleuder und ein Messbecher waren da!) und mit einem komfortablen Bett. Die Handtücher werden jeden 3. Tag gewechselt und die Bettwäsche jeden 5. Tag, echter Luxus! Es duftet sehr angenehm, Dank der gut ausgesuchten Duftstäbchen. Für mich ist eine gut riechende Wohnung immer sehr wichtig und das haben wir ebenso sehr geschätzt. Der Balkon ist luftig und nach 10:00 im Schatten, da lässt es sich angenehm aushalten und der schöne Blick auf die Souda Bay ist einfach herrlich. Zur Innenstadt sind es ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto, man ist also schnell im Zentrum, aber abends auch schnell wieder draußen. Ideal für Menschen, die das Stadtleben genießen wollen, es aber lieber etwas ruhiger haben möchten. Danke nochmals für alles!!

Rauhallinen alue, remontoidut puhtaat huoneet. Meillä oli oranssi huone, joka sijaitsee kellarissa pienillä ikkunoilla kadulle. Huone ei lämmennyt helteillä joka oli mahtavaa! Majoituimme 8 yötä, huoneessa oli saippuat ja shampoot valmiina. Sekä pientä naposteltavaa. Tämä oli ihana yllätys 🙏Rakennuksessa oli pyykkitupa, jossa pystyi pesemään vaatteita. Tämä oli mahtavaa koska me reissattiin vain repuilla. Omistaja oli ystävällinen ja avulias. Iso suositus!! 10/10

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

Best airbnb we have ever stayed at because of Andonis's (and his mother, Maria, who lives in the same complex) hospitality. Andonis gave us great recommendations and even dropped off a bottle of delicious rose. Maria made our stay feel like a home. She brought us oranges from her garden for fresh juice, dolma made with zucchini flower, and spanakopita. The kitchen was also fully equipped so we were able to cook at home at least two meals a day. If we return to Crete, we can't wait to stay again.

The place was very clean, which is of most importance to me. The host sent clear instructions ahead of time making it very easy to access the studio. The place was slightly smaller than I expected, but that was not a big issue since it was only for my husband and me. I would definitely recommend the place.

What a gem! Giannis and Effi were amazing hosts and their place is so beautiful. The terrace was our favourite place to be. I was with my mom who has limited mobility and it was a comfortable stay for her too. You can walk to the Old Harbour from their place easily (mostly flat and then downhill). There is lovely bakery, cute, coffee shop, deliscious Eastern Euro takeout restaurant and minimal right downstairs on the block and the next block. Our fridge was stocked with beverages (water, juice, Coke, beer). Our bathroom had wipes, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. They were very responsive and helped arrange our transportation to and from the airport. Will stay here again every time we are in Chania!

We had such a great time here! Nikos' place looks exactly as advertised, if not more beautiful. I especially adored the high ceiling, spacial living room/kitchen and lots of natural light. In May Greek weather it's a perfect appartment to comfortably sit outside/inside and sleep at night. The center of Chania is about 10 minutes away by car so a rental car is recommended. Luckily you can easily park it right next to the house. You can also get a taxi to get there, which costs for us 10-15 euros for 2 people. The communication with Nikos was lovely. He gave recommendations, answered questions quickly and made it so everything was clear and comfortable for us.

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!
