Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mo i Rana

We were 5 adults who wanted to get to know this area of Helgeland/Northern Norway better. We were not disappointed - despite a few days of rain. The apartment was large with all the necessary features. In addition, there is a large outdoor area on 3 sides of the house, and with a large and hot jacuzzi on the west side of the balcony. Easy access to the dock, and to a large 19 foot boat with a quiet outboard motor. In addition, there was a Garmin GPS with sonar so the trip became safer. Since we arrived in two electric cars, it was okay to charge the cars there. Very good service from both Kenneth and the neighbors! It's easy to recommend this place to anyone seeking tranquility, silence and beautiful nature.

I can’t recommend this place enough... it’s comfortable and cozy, absolutely beautiful views from every window. They make delicious cheese with the milk from their goats, really good bread, fresh fish... just great.

I spent four days at Steve’s place during my trip through Norway, and the cabin is just amazing! It is super comfortable and has all you need for a perfect stay. And the view, it’s so beautiful that you could spend hours just looking out from the terrace or the living room. I was able to enjoy seeing dusk turn into dawn in that beautiful setting. There is also plenty to do and explore in the area, beautiful landscapes and nice walks. I highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and relaxing stay with a stunning view.

We had a very nice and cozy winter holiday in layers with friends at Umforsgården. Nice space and good facilities when you want to vacation several families in teams, preferably with children.

Great location with fishing just outside the door. Nice common areas with several kitchens. Worth visiting.

House is modern and great! In winter room is wonderful spend time in night/ dark time and fireplace give more experience. Jacuzzi is nice and in shower cubicle is also steam "sauna" :)) Sights around was great! Good place to stay, fishing and diving. I recommend to others also :D

This is the second our visit to Kristine, there is nothing to complain about, small but nice house, with everything you need, the surroundings are magnificent, Vevelstad is always worth a visit, the hostess Kristine is simply top. We will be happy to come back.

Vandve - the island amongst all the other islands. A fantastic experience, we really loved the stay. Gerd-Solveig offered both the hut and the boat house. The boat house, enjoying the evening hours looking at the mid-night sun - amazing colours. Recommend to come by boat or rent a boat, so much to see.

Have nothing to say other than that we had a great stay. We were very lucky with the weather and then it got hot inside. Tore responded quickly if there was anything and I have nothing but positive to say. We were here on vacation, but also to visit family. Great space, with a great view. We will for sure be back.

This apartment is lovely. Cozy vibes and extremely nice hosts. Check-in/ out was simple, communication was smooth, the place was super clean - service is 10/10 I would say. Also the location is perfect. Had a great stay altogether

Cozy home in charming and personally decorated old wooden house, really nice host, recommended! The house is located a few km from the city center where there are two grocery stores, cafes and fast food. Should we mention anything negative, the stairs to the upper floor are steep and lack a railing on one side, so small children or people with a worse balance will have to watch out. It is close to many hiking trails. We wanted a shorter day trip. Hege tipped us off to go to Raudvatnet which is about 25 min away by car. It is late 3 km of beautiful hiking, some uphill in the beginning but then it levels out.

This house was an amazing place with incredible views! As other reviews said, it is not for those who aren't very mobile as the car is parked about 20 or 30 meters away from the entrance and the path up (or down) is over rocks that require good shoes and mobility. And even for the fitter among us, it will be challenging with suitcases or large bags. But it's all worth it, as the cabin is very comfortable. The beds slept well, the couches were comfy, and the deck was amazing. We sat outside in the sun until past 10 pm and it felt actually warm, despite being like 10 degrees or so. About 100 meter down next to the road is a little beach that you can visit and Tonnes is quite nearby. And in the morning, we saw two Hurtigruten boats passing by from the deck. We recommend this place! And did I mention the view?

Very nice house with everything you need for a good holiday. Two good living rooms, modern kitchens, great views, and a terrace. Very peaceful and nice, and at the same time a short way to the grocery store and restaurant at Oscarbrygga. Easy and good communication with Iren! Recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay in Turids cottage. It was well equipped and clean with a Nice view on the sea.

From the breakfast table you can see the summit of Per Karlsatind, which is all the more exciting if you have already stood on this iconic mountain. Every trip to and from Karolinestua was like an elk safari, which made the 20 km journey fly by. In fact, there was only one single trip in the 4 weeks we spent on Straumoya that went without moose sighting. I would guess that we saw at least 100 individual moose. A moose cow and her calf also visited us regularly at the cabin (in the morning at sunrise) and even ran across our terrace one morning. More wildlife is almost impossible! Thanks Kari Anette for the good and fast support, which made sure that we could forget city life a little.

Small and nice airbnb, equipped with everything you need and even a little. The apartment was tidy and clean. The host is nice and helpful when you have questions:) note: there is a glass wall between the living room and the shower, but as long as you make arrangements with those you live with that they should not look in while you shower, that's fine🤭
