First of all, I would like to thank the service staff, they are very helpful and friendly. The villa and furniture are very beautiful and elegant, one of the most beautiful villas we have visited, but there are some comments. The price is very high compared to the area, and there is a very, very large problem with flies, and I think it is because of the adjacent land, which is full of dirt. Also, the curtains in the bedrooms do not block the sun well, and there is no air conditioning in the sitting area or in the kitchen.

The best thing about August beach house is it's location..sits right on the beach with lots of nice bars, restaurants and surf schools nearby. The staff were very kind and courteous and they keet the place squeaky clean through out our stay.

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

We had an amazing time. The property and room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed - it felt like a little oasis. Our hosts Berni & Prabath were welcoming and very friendly. They gave us recommendations for surfing and how to get around. Overall a really enjoyable stay <3

This villa is something wonderful. All the details are perfect, beautiful and sophisticated. The bedrooms are fantastic, the swimming pool is amazing, the garden itself is a gem. And the staff! The housekeeper Sasun with the other guys, runs the villa in à perfect way: they are available for every request, helpful and incredibly skilled! We had many meals at home and it was definitely better than at the restaurants! The position is really good. You can walk in the nature up to the main road, Matara road, where many small restaurants are, or ask the staff to call a tuk tuk. Galle fort is about 30' away! Stephen the owner, is promptly reacting and helpful. Despite the weather in June, to stay in villa Vador has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to come once again! Thanks to Stephen and the staff for having made my holiday so relaxing!

We LOVED our stay at Hiriketiya Studios. Nishan was such an incredible host—he went far above and beyond in his hospitality. The place itself is lovely and peaceful with a gorgeous pool and high quality kitchen equipment for cooking. Location wise, it’s in a perfect spot, totally walkable to Hiriketiya or Dickwella beach, cute cafes, big grocery store, and even to snorkeling with turtles.

Wowowow! What an absolute gem!!! We loved staying here, it’s so nature-oriented & the location is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to chill that’s within walking distance of everything ☺️ Lara is also the most generous and welcoming host, I cannot recommend this place enough ❤️

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

Harshana and family are excellent hosts. I was looking for a quiet vacation spot and that's what I found. Access to multiple markets for purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables, beach life including surfing lessons, rentals and cabana life, are all within walking distance. Suggestions for local specialties and eateris are encouraged. Treat bags gifts with Hoppers, and fresh baked goods made me experiment more with local delicacies. This stay will be tough to beat. Finally, Matara's people are friendly and helpful. As good as the world could ask for.

I had such a lovely stay at the House of Water Lilies! The hosts were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The place itself is peaceful, beautifully surrounded by nature, and perfect if you’re looking for a calm escape. You can really feel the love and care that went into creating this space. It’s close enough to enjoy the beaches and cafes of Weligama, but far enough to relax in total peace. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay in Sri Lanka!

We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You will be able to observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions, you can contact them at any time. He took us to change money, showed us where the best places to dine were and organized all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including a great seafood barbecue. The house is very well located: only a short walk to the beach and all restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

Such a gorgeous place, the photo's don't do it justice. Set inside the most gorgeous little walled jungle garden. We loved it and would have been pleased to stay for longer. "Uncle" was such a lovely man and made us feel really welcome :-)

Very nice villa with all amenities needed. Beautiful garden directly on the beach. Some nice restaurants nearby. Very helpful and friendly host. You get a massive villa for a good price. For families with small children you should know that not all beds/bedrooms are in the same building.

Very happy, after careful selection, I happened to see this villa.I was attracted at first sight, looking forward to staying, and when I arrived, I was physically and mentally happy. Wow, I am speechless but I will try my best to put into words my experience at ilukhouse , the moment I walked in the property it felt grounding, Noor welcomed me and Indikas explained to me everything and after that I settled. The craftsmanship of the cabin is incredible . It is super clean despite it being mostly outdoors . The hosts are super nice and super attentive and helped me with everything I needed, although I was solo, they made me feel at home . They made sure I felt safe at the place by attending a neighbor if I needed anything or if I felt insecure. The sounds of the different birds and nature was very calming and peaceful especially at night . Such a wonderful place to stay at and it will definitely be my go to place when visiting Weligama. Special thank you to Noor and Indikas , and Sujith the tuktuk driver who I highly recommend for anyone, he made me feel very safe and came to me wherever I was and took me back and forth from and to ilukhouse. Thank you .

This was hands down the best spot we found in Hiriketiya. It's just far enough from the busy center to enjoy total peace and quiet, but still only a 5-minute drive by bike to all the beach vibes, cafés, and restaurants Hiriketiya has to offer. The place itself is beautiful—super clean, modern, and brand new. The view is absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sunrise right from bed was a daily highlight. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to share tips and help with anything we needed. We felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend this gem if you're looking for a calm, comfortable, and scenic stay in Hiriketiya!

Amazing villa! So beautiful and coastal modern. Bathroom and shower was amazing. Host helped us with washing and recommendations. By far the best accomodation we have stayed at in Sri Lanka. 4 mins from weligama and super close to merrissa.
