House holiday rentals in Malathiros

Thank you to Matthew and the team for such a lovely stay. Matthew went above and beyond for the duration of our visit, even giving us a lift to the local winery. The villa was exactly as pictured and beautifully maintained. The host welcomed us with pastries and local delicacies, which were even topped up during our stay when the villa was serviced. Whilst in a peaceful and quaint location, a car is necessary to explore the island and all it has to offer. Public transport does exist but is infrequent and not always easy to understand. Definitely worth a trip to the traditional bakery located a few minutes walk from the villa. Although we had a fantastic time in the hot tub and pool, the hot tub could definitely have been hotter. Overall all I would recommend this to everyone, and we will certainly be returning to Doro Gold Villa! Thanks again! Emma and friends

One of the best villas I’ve stayed in as it felt so homely, and the outside area is gorgeous. We all loved it! Nikolaos was an amazing host and was always recommending places to visit and days out for us to try. The pool cleaner was easy to use, just put it in first thing in the morning and it will clean for around 2 hours. As well, having the robotic lawn mower mow the lawn while we were there too was a nice feature. Nikolaos was always responsive and made us feel right at home, as well as even leaving local olive oil for us to take back with us from our trip! The local taverna just at the bottom of the villa was sensational, and I would really recommend trying as much of the food off of the daily cooked menu as possible. Would stay here again!

Absolutely perfect! Brilliant property and brilliant host. Despina was so lovely, gave us great recommendations and she even left us some food in the fridge for breakfast because of our late flight. She also brought us homemade wine and honey. Property even better than the pictures! Best holiday ever! Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at this Villa. Exactly as described and how it looks in the photos. Villa finished to a really high standard and lovely swimming pool. The villa is also nicely equipped & sone really nice touches from the host, Katerina, with locally grown vegetables & olive oil. Katerina went above and beyond as a host with regular cleaning & towels changes etc and was very supportive when our daughter was involved in an accident (not at the villa!) Would definitely recommend and go back 👍

We stayed here for our babymoon and honestly — we couldn’t have imagined a more magical, nourishing, and heartwarming place to spend this special time.. From the moment we arrived, peace settled in. Even more beautiful than the pictures, the house is full of love and thoughtful details. The pool and garden are perfect — calm, private, and deeply relaxing. And the hosts… wow. So warm and generous. They even cooked us a homemade meal when we arrived. We felt not just welcomed, but truly held. Kissamos is a gem, filled with authentic seaside tavernas. We had some of the best meals of our lives here — simple, fresh, and full of soul. This place is a sanctuary. We left feeling nourished, inspired, and grateful. We’ll definitely be back — this home touched our hearts.

A Slice of Heaven in Crete. Our stay in this beautifully designed home was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by peaceful olive groves and bathed in Cretan sunshine, every moment felt serene and special. The sweet little pool was the perfect place to unwind, and the home itself was as stunning as it was comfortable. The hosts were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcome. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning our return.

Wonderful! The welcome dinner, the view, the private pool, the peaceful atmosphere, Amy-Eli’s reactivity… we could go on and on and there won’t be a single thing we didn’t like about this family trip. The villa is close enough to the most beautiful places of north-west Kreta: Chania 50 min, Elafonissi 1 hour, Falasarna 30 min (by car). We highly recommend to stay at Chania Villas!

This was the best AirBnb I've ever stayed at, and it really made our trip to Crete. Maria was an A+ host. She was extremely responsive and helpful and pointed us to all of the best beaches and restaurants. The house is in immaculate condition, very clean, and very spacious, and is only 10 minutes from downtown Chania. Thank you for everything, Maria!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

Konstantina gave us all the information we needed to reach the accommodation, which is isolated from the main urban centers, but ideal for those who want to be immersed in silence and still convenient for reaching the most famous beaches of Crete (Elafonisi, Balos, Falassarna). The accommodation is not very large, just for two people who have to stay a few days, the terrace above is shared with any guests of the apartment next door, but it is comfortably large for everyone. There is no dedicated parking space, but information is provided for parking. Recommended as a strategic and quiet point to visit the entire west coast of Crete on a road trip.

What a lovely quiet and relaxed stay we had in kampos. The house has everything we needed and the view was amazing with fantastic sunsets. Thank you Sofia for your warm welcome and good local recommendations. We would love to come back again 😀

It's a dream come true! This accommodation was simply perfect – from the amenities to the loving furnishings to the warm hospitality of Ksenia and Giannis. Everything is high-quality, tasteful and designed with so much attention to detail that you feel comfortable and welcome from the first moment. A real highlight was the terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea - waking up in the morning with the sound of the waves, ending the day in the evening with this panorama... priceless! The proximity to the cozy tavern, which is run by the host family, was also particularly nice. The same warm, open atmosphere prevails there as in the accommodation. We spent wonderful evenings there with delicious traditional, regional Greek cuisine, live music and a lot of cordiality. A place we think back to with a smile – and one we definitely want to come back to. A thousand thanks for everything!

We had a lovely stay at Nikos’ place in Rodovani. It’s well off the beaten path and we particularly enjoyed the tranquil setting in a small mountain village on the south coast. Nikos greeted us although we arrived well after midnight. There is a lovely village store right across the town square and good tavernas close by. Plenty of hiking options around and the sea only 15 min away. The house is renovated tastefully and we particularly enjoyed the big terrace overlooking the valley and mountains.

This is the best house we booked on Airbnb. So beautiful, super well equipped, peaceful. Great shower. Fantastic views. Theodosia was great and Michalis, the owner, received us with a big smile, raki and local products. Such a wonderful guy. It's a family run house. They also gave us a farewell gift, typical Cretan food prepared by Michalis mom. Also, a minute away from the house there is a rustic bar on top of the mountain with a view to the ocean called Petroula, named after a donkey which walks freely inside the bar! You can have an ice cold beer and watch the sunset and play with the beautiful dogs and puppies. Totally recommended with eyes closed!

The tastefully restored and decorated accommodation is located in the middle of the olive trees next to other houses in the village. The accommodation is spacious with on each side of the house, a very nice terrace. Neighbors are lovely. We were greeted by many cats, as in all of Crete. Communication with Nancy or Kallia was very responsive. We will definitely return to this house for calm, mountain views and proximity to quality shops and restaurants. The house is very nice, quiet, a few steps from a beach with a few umbrellas already on the beach and sun loungers present in the house (maybe an umbrella to carry around would be useful). Vasilis was precious with his advice (we followed them more or less all!), he does everything to make you feel comfortable and is ready to follow the suggestions to improve (shower box absolutely to be repaired and a clothesline is needed, currently the space for laundry is really small, especially for 4) and if a problem arises, he takes action to solve it; thanks also to his dad, for being so patient and diligent in solving some small problems of the moment🙏🏽. The kitchen is comfortable, well-stocked, clean (maybe to add a microwave, but it is not essential). The bed and bath linen is clean and of a good standard... Vasilis, keep doing your best to maintain this wonderful little house that we left with a heavy heart.❤ Thank you again for everything.

We had a glorious two weeks at Niko's place. For the first time at AirBNB it felt like we're were guests at a friends home. All of the promised essentials were provided in generous quantities - Niko's home grown fruit and veg were a particular treat and provided in such generous quantities that we couldn't eat them all. The place is simple but with all the equipment that you could need. The terrace a delight to enjoy the sun and the bathing spot a treat. Niko has landscaped a most wonderful extended garden which made the whole property just beautiful!

A very nice place to stay. Everything was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The well-equipped kitchen, the large living room and the large terrace with the magnificent view make the stay unique. The contact with Brigitta was very pleasant. Many small details in the house show a very committed and loving hospitality. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back. There is a stone beach in Sfinari. For us, the 20 minutes by car to the dream beach in Falasarna were no problem.

A place to stay with a truly breathtaking view. We felt very comfortable. Our two-year-old son also found his way around very well and played with us at the pool, but of course you should always keep an eye on him. Overall, the accommodation looks much more spacious than in the photos and is well equipped. We didn't miss anything. There are even dumbbells for sports and chairs and umbrella for the beach and a potty for children. Communication with Eleni went very well. She always reacted quickly and made everything possible. We will be happy to come back.

Andreas' place is fantastic. Super nicely decorated, everything tidy and clean a great garden and the location is just perfect. A great view of the sea and the olive groves. There is absolute tranquility, we enjoyed our week there very much. Pure relaxation. Thank you very much. Ulrike and Joachim

This place was absolutely beautiful – tastefully furnished with a great eye for detail. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop deck was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a sunset. The location was central and convenient, yet peaceful – the best of both worlds. I highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again! Thanks Dimitri!
