Tiny house holiday rentals in Lake Nicaragua

Very helpfull host!! unbelivable service! he helped us with the cab to get there from Rivas and also organizing a motorcycle rental from the house! great little place, feels like home with the extra of a wonderful sunset view!! very peacefull! my husband and I had a magical time there! 🙏

Great host, Jan-Luc was always around when you needed him. Really nice place close to the action but in the same breath tucked away. Loved our stay. Markets, fresh fish and restaurants all within 5-10 mins walk. Would recommend to anyone. 👌

This stay was special in exactly the way we thought it would be. You’re sleeping right in the middle of the jungle, but protected with a net on the bed. You can hear all sorts of animals throughout the night and day which enhances your experience. The restaurant on the grounds is magnificent and has amazing food. Our host Megan was so supportive and proactive with our constant change in travel plans. She also helped setting up a guide to hike the volcano as well as took care of our ferry tickets to come in (we did ourselves for the way back due to last minute changes and it was a huge pain) Overall, if you’re looking to be immersed in nature on an island with several good restaurants and plenty of things to do. This stay is perfectly located for that and offers great value for the price.

Wir hatten einen sehr privaten und ruhigen Aufenthalt bei der herzlichen und sehr gastfreundlichen Familie. Wir durften einen Abend mit Ariana kochen, was uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Es stand uns zu jeder Zeit jemand zu Verfügung, wenn wir was brauchten. Die Gegend ist eher ruhig und wenig touristisch. Wir konnten Mangos essen so viel wir wollten und wurden auch zum Frühstück bestens und sehr individuell versorgt. Wir fühlten uns immer super sicher und willkommen. Danke für diese großartige Zeit und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft! Wir hatten die beste Zeit!

We had an amazing stay in Casita #2. Nica and Benjamin were really responsive and helpful! A huge thanks also to Alex and Wuilber (the locals on the property) who were soo helpful for many things we needed in our 2 week stay. The place was super nice. The location is awesome with the beaches and a few coffee shops arounds. But, we do recommend renting a car or a scooter (NicaRenta are super friendly)! Having a pool on the property would be a huge addition, but Selina will probably accept you if you consume drinks / food!

Wir haben zu zweit in dieser Unterkunft für 3 Nächte geschlafen und sind total begeistert. Dan war nicht vor Ort, da er im Ausland lebt. Zu ihm können wir wenig sagen, da kein Kontakt zu ihm erforderlich war. Dafür können wir in höchsten Tönen über die einheimischen Menschen vor Ort reden, die dort arbeiten, wie Juan Carlos und Delfa. Die Köchin Delfa hat sagenhaft lecker gekocht. Selbst die Pasta und das Brot hat sie selbst gemacht. Alles köstlich! Wenn man etwas unternehmen möchte, dann ist es ratsam, die beiden zu fragen. Sie vermitteln gute Touren (wie Kayak und Wanderung auf den Vulkan Maderas) und zu sehr fairen Preisen. Ein unerwarteter Traum auf dem ruhigen Teil von Ometepe.

I went to Nicaragua looking for time in nature and a unique Airbnb experience. I found it! JC and Lisseth’s place is an amazing working farm with fruit trees, chickens and birds. Lots of birds! I was warmly welcomed and treated like to amazingly fresh and tasty food. I had a fabulous massage, helped with English class for local children and swam in the nearby lake. I absolutely loved my time with JC, Lisseth and their family. You should know that there are dirt paths that are kept very clean to reduce dust and mosquitos sometimes arrive at night and are easily controlled with bug spray. This is a unique place to stay amongst a lot of nature and very kind people.

A peaceful haven with heart – a truly restorative stay - best value A private casita next to the owners home was a peaceful, charming retreat. The bedroom opens to a lush, sunlit terrace where I spent mornings enjoying coffee & evenings unwinding. The outdoor kitchen & dining setup added to the experience — cozy, clean, & well-equipped. I had full use of the space & found it both relaxing & functional, even for remote work thanks to strong Wi-Fi. The terrace felt private & serene, with greenery & birdsong all around. Mercedes is warm, respectful, & responsive, always ensuring I had what I needed while giving me plenty of space. Any brief interactions felt friendly, never intrusive. This isn’t a generic rental — it’s a thoughtfully curated space with heart. If you’re seeking peace, light, & character in a beautiful setting just outside the busy city, but close to the airport, this is the perfect spot. I’d absolutely return & recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, restorative stay.

We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Lukas as he was away however we were incredibly well looked after by Yixson, the property manager. The cabana was perfect for a peaceful getaway. My partner and I loved all of the animals, the kitchen was well equipped and the location was perfect for the activities on Ometepe. You are next door to playa de mango if you fancy some music and a cocktail but there is also a bar on site served by Yixson. Yixson also helped us practice our Spanish and correct us when we needed help, he also arranged a kayak tour from the property, motorbike hire and a taxi to get us back to the port. The whole stay was fantastic and Lukas was very responsive with recommendations and instructions. We ended up extending our stay! Thank you to Lukas, Yixson and his lovely family!

A must visit! A truly special place in playa de maderas. View from both the room and the deck was amazing. Breakfast and group dinners were wonderful and great time to chat and relax. Yoga was very special - do it even if you don't do yoga!! Amazing wildlife - monkeys, birds and iguanas! The rooms do get warm at night even with a fab on. But worth it to be totally at one with nature

Una cabaña muy linda, excelente para descansar, alejada del bullicio, a 30 minutos de las playas de la zona. Doña María es una excelente anfitriona, siempre amable. Espero volver!!!

Endroit calme et à 200 mètres d’une plage magnifique. Belle communauté autour, autant d’expat que de nicaraguayens.

wunderschönes, idyllisches Plätzchen. Wie ein kleines privates Paradies! Wer gerne Ruhe möchte, und Zeit für sich, dann ist dies ideal! Gut und währschaftes Häuschen und alles ist gut umgesetzt und sauber. Einzig der Backofen funktionierte bei uns nicht richtig. Die Ruhe, der Pool, die Veranda und die Hängematte: wir haben alles sehr genossen und gingen nicht gerne weiter! Danke auch an Maria, sie hat uns vor Ort lieb empfangen und sie war gut erreichbar.

Súper verblijf, lieve mensen. Leuk om meer te weten te komen over de surf lessen die gegeven worden door lokale mensen ! Vooral indrukwekkend om hun zoon te zien surfen.

It was a great stay at the lovely house inside a gated community. The private beach access was perfect. It’s a beautiful place. There are few details which would make the stay even better especially outdoors but the good price made it up for it. I had a great work flow, even though at certain times of the day it got very hot in the house which was then the perfect time to go for a swim. I slept very good, the area is very quiet. There are few small local tiendas on the road to find fruit & vegetables as well as basic groceries-if you come without a car like me. The massage at Casa marimba was a highlight. If you seek some quiet time to focus on work or other projects without getting distracted/disturbed much, this is the perfect place.

I highly recommend this loft. The apartment was extremely clean, instructions from Karin; our host, were very clear as well and we had no difficulties accessing the property. Having hot water in the shower was lovely. I also loved the lights in the plunge pool. We had everything we needed. The path to the loft is very steep so I recommend accessing it on an SUV or similar type of vehicle.

What an awesome spot! We had a great time staying at Gina’s place. The surf was good and was only quick ATV ride away. The jungle surrounding the AirBnB was pristine with lots of monkeys swinging through the trees. It was cool to get Playgrounds to ourselves and wait out the boats until they left. I would highly recommend staying here. This is a rare gem.

I stayed here for a month and really loved it! It's in a great location, not far from the two main beaches in the area, but also quiet and tucked away. Very tranquil. The house is super clean and has everything you need for a long-ish term stay. Zivile is an excellent host and is very helpful and responsive.

Usha estuvo muy atenta desde el principio. La casita estaba muy cómoda con utensilios para cocinar, siempre había agua y nos permitió quedarnos unas horas más después del tiempo de estancia. Muchas gracias por todo!
