Nice studio apartment in the immediate vicinity of downtown Font-Romeu (5 minutes walk from La Poste). You will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Font-Romeu, on the valleys of Eyne and Sègre, bordered by the Cambre d 'Aze and Puigmal. Facing south, you can admire the sunsets every evening tinting the valley with a very warm red light. I fell in love with this little piece of heaven. Magical in winter with the snow covering the cottage, but also in summer. I wanted to offer my guests a more modern atmosphere while preserving the vintage and "natural" aspect of the mountain. You'll feel right at home very quickly. The snow in winter can be intense, but the cottage remains easily accessible (car equipment for snow, mandatory in winter: tire socks/chains/or snow tires🛞)

This place is very comfortable and has everything you need for a stay in the mountains. You need a head for heights to access the property and indeed some of the walks locally. The scenery is dramatic and the people are friendly. We did have to drive to Prades for provisions for cooking and food for hiking. So it’s worth stocking up before you arrive. They are lovely views from the property and it’s certainly very different to most people’s homes. We had a lovely time and would stay again and recommend to others.

A compact cottage very suitable for two. All necessities provided, including onsite parking (a bit tight but OK for a smallish car). Josep and Maria Angel greeted us as pre-arranged and guided us to the cottage, and provided comprehensive advice - helped by good humour, Google Translate and daughter Ariadne on phone. Overlooks a peaceful garden, stretching to the church in the distance (not so keen on regular bells - but with cottage shut up, no big issue). We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
