Le Nid is 1 of a set of 2 delightful 3 bedroomed rural gîtes in sunny southwest France. Nestled in a valley 5kms from L’Absie in the Deux-Sèvres. The shared pool is NOW HEATED. There is a wildlife pond and hectare of land where the only sounds you can hear are birdsong, frogs, the wind in the trees and possibly a tractor in the distance. You may even catch a glimpse of a red squirrel. Bounded by a stream surrounded by farmland and from the grounds, you can access walking and cycling routes.

Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

Il se trouve dans un hameau éloigné de toute route principale mais à seulement 600m du centre du bourg, lequel compte une petite épicerie/dépôt de pain et un bureau de poste. Il est situé à une dizaine de kms du centre de pêche de Pescalis et à ¾ d’heure de route du Puy du Fou.
