Holiday rentals with beach access in La Couarde-sur-Mer

What a wonderful place in the best part of Île de Ré. We had such excellent hosts, Anne Kathrine and Remy. Special mention to Maya, their beautiful and friendly dog, her daily greetings were so welcoming. We leave with lovely memories of a great revisit to the island after 32 years! A very nice apartment with a view of the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The accommodation is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and the city center of La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The accommodation is also within walking distance of the train station.

A small apartment where all the comforts are present (very clean and well appointed), very well located in the center of ST Martin. We did everything by foot from the accommodation. Very friendly welcome from Sylvia who had given us very clear instructions to find the place and park. We have great memories of this short stay at Sylvia's. We will be happy to return.

A very central and comfortable apartment on the first floor. The location at the market and close to good coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, a nice shower and use of a plug in fan for hot evenings. The second bedroom is smaller but we didn’t use this. Baby facilities of a cot, changing table etc also very useful. Thank you Clotilde!

We had a lovely stay at this place. We discovered La Couarde, which we really liked (central square on the island, caterers, covered market with few stalls but quality, kindness of the people we met ...). We were a little far from the center on foot but we didn't mind (25 minute walk). The residence where the accommodation is located is very pleasant and has all the amenities (tennis court, ping pong table in a covered place, small green space...) Only thing a little inconvenient to the noise from the road to Ars. The interior of the accommodation was very nice and cozy, with a large comfortable sofa and a large table, the bedding was fine and all the kitchenware was there. Communication with our host was discreet

We had a great stay in the accommodation offered by Nathalie. the place is quiet, 2 steps from the beach and the city center. the cottage is very nice, very well equipped and we enjoyed relaxing outdoors on the terrace

I took this accommodation for my parents so they could rest and enjoy a private place. They were delighted, found the accommodation clean and good recommendations. It went very well. N.B.: those coming with dogs, do not hesitate to ask for the tax because it is not indicated in the listing and the rental price.

We had a great stay with the family (2 adults and 2 children) in Marie's place, well arranged and perfectly suited for four people. Very convenient outdoor for eating out and storing bikes! Marie is super welcoming and available 😊 The location is ideal: Market, city center and beautiful beaches a few minutes by bike. We highly recommend this listing and would love to come back. Had a lovely stay at Géraldine’s. Comfortable and clean home with everything you could need. Location quiet but within short walking distance to supermarket and pretty square with a boulangerie and couple of restaurants as well as the tourist office. Having the bikes to use as and when was a huge bonus - we enjoyed our cycle to other villages. In the evening hearing the swifts swooping by whilst sitting in the courtyard was very relaxing. No hesitation to recommend.

A house with a lot of taste and charm, spacious and very functional. Close to all amenities: city center 3 min away with great shops and restaurants. Very cordial and responsive exchanges with Kevin our host. I recommend Kevin's accommodation, go there with your eyes closed, just want to go back very quickly. Thanks for hosting Kevin. Celine’s house was lovely and extremely well located. The lovely restaurants of La Flotte and the local market were a short walk, and we loved biking around the island. The house itself is gorgeous. We will definitely return!

Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

Ideally located, this accommodation is perfect for discovering the island of Ré and its beautiful landscapes by bike (rental right next door, friendly). The little extra is the sauna. Beautiful decoration, well-equipped. Good communication with the host who gives good advice. Parking right across.

Idyllic stay on the island of Ré thanks to this impeccable and ideally located studio. Elisabeth is a caring host who does not hesitate to give valuable advice and good tips. The studio is very well equipped and very clean. Ideally located on the port of Saint-Martin, we are however quiet even with the windows open, and its location makes it very easy to access the bike paths to explore the whole island. Thank you Elisabeth for your hospitality, we will definitely be back!!!!

Excellent stay in Arnaud's apartment. Very well received by Fadia. The location is perfect for going to La Rochelle in 10 minutes on foot by the sea.

We had a lovely stay at Ingrid's apartment. It is located close to the port. Facing to the west, it is sunny at the end of the day . It has a parking space and bike storage in a secure residence (a big plus for a stay on Île de Ré where the interest is to get around by bike). It is well equipped and very clean. Bedding is good. Ingrid is friendly and available. Good location!

We had a nice stay at the apartment. Everything matched the description. The guidelines for accessing it were very clear. Well-located apartment close to downtown. You can do anything on foot. Very well-equipped and clean apartment. I would highly recommend. Kind regards, Pascal
