Lovely cosy cottage for one or two set on our little French farm in the beautiful and peaceful North Dordogne countryside. The cottage is nestled in 30 acres of fields and woodland where you can watch our many animals pottering around enjoying their sunny French retirement! We are halfway between the pretty villages of Mialet and Saint-Jory-de-Chalais which are well serviced with shops, bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Both villages are less than 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot.

The bungalow is set in a mature enclosed private garden. which is dog friendly. It has just been fully refurbished including new kitchen and bathroom. The village is La Chapelle-Montbrandeix in the Haute Vienne and is surrounded by lakes and forest. The village has an excellent bar restaurant which is within walking distance. The closest town is Cussac which is approx 10 mins by car it has quite a few shops including supermarket chemist hairdressers doctors surgery and restaurants.

Our beautiful cosy cabin has been recently built to enable our guests to enjoy our stunning lake and relaxing surroundings. It is totally private and the perfect place to relax. If you would like to fish, the lake is fully stocked with fantastic fish up to 35kg, fishing costs 12€ per 24hrs and equipment is available to hire for 12€ as well if required. A BBQ, firepit, sun loungers, and a spa pool (June-September) ensure that your stay will be idyllic in this picturesque setting.

We left at 7 for the holidays. The welcome with Claire, a neighbor, went very well (the host was not on site) , flexible hours, very friendly, she took the time to give us all the information and left us her contact just in case. There are a few activities nearby, but they require a whole car to get there. However, the house is very nice and clear. We highly recommend pottery with Kristiane! Also, the little guide left by the owner is very complete! Bedding lowers the rating for a few of us. The lack of privacy too, since everyone hears everything that is going on in the house. There was a little dust but nothing alarming for a renovated farmhouse in the middle of the countryside:) The ancillary terrain was impassable as the grasses were high, and the hammock was missing. A small source of light is missing from the balcony. The stay was still great:D
