Holiday rentals in Kythira

The villa we stayed (Paleokastro) in was just perfect. Lovely and peaceful view of the lush garden and sea in the distance from a spacious veranda. Zhulieta who manages the property could not have been more helpful with local recommendations and her cheerful personality added to us feeling welcome. The unit is fully equipped and they provided us with a welcome package of cake, coffee pods, wine and apricots from the garden. The Cocomat bedding was excellent for a good nights sleep. Well located to explore the island and close to the beach and dining options in Avlemonas. We highly recommend this for a wonderful stay in charming Kythira.

Refined apartment furnished with great taste, welcoming and equipped with every comfort. Suggestive location with atmosphere. The host provides guests with a very abundant and generous "welcome kit". Thanks Evi for the great welcome!! We hope to return!!

The apartment was well equipped, bright and airy and in a wonderful location on the seafront. April is early in the season but cafes and restaurants were beginning to open, however for us the quiet time was a plus. Plenty of walking trails nearby and an amazing sea to swim in. Joshua was a very helpful host.

A magic destination and perfect for a family - as a base to explore Kythira from or to just spend the day at the most magnificent little sheltered bay. Joshua was an excellent host - he met us on arrival and explained everything about the house, the area and island and responded to all our questions and helped make our stay perfect. I hope we are able to return soon.

A beautiful chirping house in an atmospheric village! Tzortzis is excellent in every communication. We enjoyed every element of this hospitality.

The place is literally in one of (if not THE) best location in Chora, literally next door to all the restaurants and bars. A lot of parking spots are in 1-3 minutes of walk. Eva also owns a shop down the road and is very friendly and responsive with her local tips on great beaches, activities etc. The place itself is very clean! Please be mindful that since the place is literally next door to a restaurant there will be some noise until midnight, but its not too bad.

Wonderful relaxing stay in charming Avlemonos. Great local bar behind the rental with the best cocktails. You could not hear it with the doors closed. Our host Aristea was charming and quick to respond. Toiletries provided along with a welcoming liquor. My one small objection was discovering neighbours to our left which do not appear in the photos. The front balcony could be made private with a few well placed shades. Loungers would be welcome too.

Excellent place. The pics don't really do it justice -- it is more spacious than it looks, a d has a wonderful and really tall wooden roof. The view from the balcony is great: the sea is just a couple of meters away and you can hear the waves at night. Eleni was great at communication. It was super clean and we'll stocked (including the kitchen). Price is very fair for what you get. Just note that her father in law lives downstairs (didn't bother us at all). The only downside is that it is far from the main settlement (the Chora) and that it is a tiny, sleepy village. That's something I enjoyed, but it's good to keep in mind if you don't. Taxis are very expensive and I believe there are no public buses on this island. So you must rely on a rental car. Overall, I highly recommend the place.
