House holiday rentals in Kythira

We were quite late in the evening arriving and was warmly welcomed. Watermelon, peaches, wine, bottled water, treats and more awaited us. The place was so homey, we felt right at home. There is not one thing I can say negative about this property. The outside area is simply gorgeous and the pool was taken care of daily. Response to issues, my own fault, was immediate and so appreciated as first I locked myself out and then I didn’t know how to use the oven. :) It was taken care of in literally minutes. The bed was so comfortable as was the couch in the living room. A delicious bottle of wine from their lemon tree in the yard was given to us on departure, as well as an offer to check out later if needed. Do not hesitate to stay here, it truly is all it claims to be. We hope to be back some day.

Everything about our stay at Michael's place was nice! The place itself is lovely and matched the description. As a family of 4, we had a comfortable stay and each member could enjoy different parts of the house without being "in the way". High ceilings, spacious rooms, fully equiped and with a "feel at home" vibe at first glance. Extra bonus was Michael himself, who undoubtedly was a great host! Friendly, accessible, gave us insight and great recommendations, was flexible with check in and with clear instructions. He also hosted a farewell party which will be fondly remembered by us as a highlight, with good food and great company! Michael we hope to come back one day! Thank you !

Το σπίτι ήταν ο.τι καλύτερο υπάρχει στον Ποταμό και ο.τι καλύτερο έχουμε μείνει γενικά. Άψογη συνεννόηση και γεμάτο παροχές. Ήμαστε 5 άτομα και όλοι μείναμε απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι. Η Κυριακή και οι γονείς της ήταν πολύ διακριτικοί και ταυτόχρονα πολύ εξυπηρετικοί οπότε χρειάσθηκε οτιδήποτε. Η τοποθεσία είναι τέλεια, 3 λεπτά από το κέντρο του Ποταμού αλλά χωρίς να υπάρχει φασαρία. Εντελώς value for money! Όταν ξαναβρεθούμε στα Κύθηρα, σίγουρα θα επιστρέψουμε στο River's House!!!

Το δωμάτιο είναι όπως τις φωτογραφίες ακριβώς. Είναι σε καλύτερη τοποθεσία από αυτή που πιστεύαμε όταν το κλείναμε. Έχει μπροστά ένα φαράγγι, ένα μονοπάτι με μια μικρή παραλία, είναι δίπλα στο Καψάλι και πολύ κοντά στην πόλη των Κυθήρων. Καλή επιλογή να μείνεις σε αυτή τη περιοχή, εξυπηρετεί πολύ για να δεις τα καλύτερα κομμάτια του νησιού. Καλή επικοινωνία, καθαρό διαμέρισμα, μικρούλι,με αυλή και πάρκινγκ.

Siamo stati ospiti con i nostri due figli di 8 anni a casa di Irene e Theodoris e ci siamo trovati benissimo, la casa è molto comoda, arredata e fornita di tutto ciò che serve per un soggiorno piacevole, con una cucina ben attrezzata. Gli host sono stati estremamente gentili e disponibili, ci hanno dato molte informazioni utili sulla zona, mercato, negozi e ristoranti, ci hanno offerto marmellate fatte in casa e chiacchierare con loro è stato molto piacevole. Consigliamo la location senza alcun dubbio!

Our experience was amazing, we loved the island, the village and Zetas stylish house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful time and at a central part of the island. The host was always available and always offered great recommendations

Besser hätte die Unterkunft nicht sein können! Wir waren zu zweit dort. Zwei Badezimmer, was uns besonders gut gefallen hat! Die ruhige Lage ist phantastisch. Ein Ort zum entspannen. Wenn es dunkel wird kann man den Sternenhimmel auf der Terrasse genießen. Das Grundstück ist weitläufig. Überall entdeckt man neue Plätze zum verweilen. Trotz der einsameren Lage kann man mit dem Auto alles leicht erreichen. Restaurants, Strände, Sehenswürdigkeiten etc..Oder man wandert. Was wir allerdings nicht getan haben. Im Haus findet man alles, was man benötigt. Oder besser gesagt man findet mehr, als man erwartet hätte. Gewürze, Putzutensilien, Einwickelpapier, Servietten und jede Menge Geschirr, Töpfe und Pfannen und...... Dieses Haus ist wirklich weiter zu empfehlen, man muß es einfach selbst erlebt haben. Eine Unterkunft mit toller Atmoshäre. Und die vielen Besucherkatzen sind völlig unaufdringlich. Wer keine Katzen mag, der muß nicht auf sie eingehen. Vielen lieben Dank an die Vermieter!

This Airbnb is a hidden gem. Quiet and peaceful, a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. I was greeted by George and Contanza, the warm and welcoming owners, whose hospitality made my stay very comfortable. The property itself is beautifully curated with a tasteful décor that creates a very inviting atmosphere. The highlight is the amazing tree in the garden, where you just can enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening and relax completely. The owner provided excellent recommendations for nearby attractions, such as dining and activities. I look forward to returning one day.

Mooie locatie met veel buitenruimte en privacy. Gunstig gelegen om het hele eiland makkelijk te verkennen. Mooi uitzicht op de zee en de bergen. Dimitra is een zeer vriendelijke host, ze reageert snel en is behulpzaam als je haar nodig hebt. We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad en hopen graag nog eens terug te komen.

Το καταλυμα ηταν υπεροχο, καθαρο και βρισκεται σε πολυ κεντρικο σημειο. Βρισκεται διπλα στην πλατεια. Εχει τρομερη θεα στην θαλασσα και το Καστρο των Κυθηρων. Ειναι πληρως ανακαινισμενο με ωραιο υφος. Με εμενα επικοινωνησε η κ. Ολγα, η οποια ηταν αμεση και εξυπηρετικη σε οτι της ζητησα βοηθεια!

We had a beautiful stay at Grigoris’ home and were very comfortable. Sophia and her husband were so warm and welcoming and the house was perfect for the four of us. We will be back one day

The most beautiful view from the house: sea and AgiaPelagia during the day and stars and the milky way during the night. This, together with Theo’s perfect and professional hospitality, made disappear any small imperfection in the house. We loved every moment in the house, from the goats hanging around, to the star gazing to the bbq and the figues from the trees. Kalamitsi house made our Kythira visit perfect. Highly recommended.

Ruim, schoon, goed geouitilleerd appartement, met vanaf terras en patio fraai uitzicht op Agia Pelaga en omgeving. Parkeren direct voor het appartement. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer wiens moeder voor een uitstekende lunch zorgde. Tijdens onze afwezigheid werd het appartement keurig onderhouden. Wij hebben het hier zeer goed naar onze zin gehad.

What a wonderful house! beautifully decorated, it has everything you need to have a great time on the magnificent island of Kythira. Genuine souls, Daca & John were very warm hosts, they gave us so many good advice and recommendations. Definitely 5 stars!

Το σπίτι ήταν πιο ωραίο από τις φωτογραφίες. Ευρύχωρο, καθαρό και πλήρως εξοπλισμένο με όλα τα απαραίτητα. Διέθετε τεράστια αυλή για πάρκινγκ. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα. Το σπίτι δεν ήταν παραθαλάσσιο, αλλά ήταν πολύ κοντά σε όλες σχεδόν τις παραλίες. Η τοποθεσία καλή, αφού το κέντρο ήταν περίπου 10 λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο. Η οικοδέσποινα πολύ φιλική και βοηθητική.

The Dream House is a wonderful place to stay and I totally recommend it. It’s location is perfect in that although it is close to the cafes and restaurants it is situated in a quiet peaceful bay. The house has all you need and the lovely side garden with its BBQ and views of the bay is an added bonus - enjoyed breakfast every day there as well as pre-dinner drinks and a couple of bbq evenings.

The accommodation was in a central location in kithira from where you could reach most beaches within half an hour. It was very clean and tidy. Also the host was very friendly and cooperative in any extra help we needed! Totally worth the price we paid for.
