The owners, Bill and Jenny Higgs live next door - very discreet but always on hand to help.

This small house with enclosed garden, decorated in an English cottage style, is surrounded by flowers and greenery. Located in a very quiet place, it is the ideal place to come and go "green". 2 hours from Paris, the Val de Malon is the ideal starting point for visiting Burgundy: 25 minutes from Vezelay, Chablis, 15 minutes from Noyers-sur-Serein, 1 hour from Beaune and the Grands Crus region. The "Cottage du Val" can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children (+ crib) in great comfort.

We spent two very relaxing weeks in this beautiful little house. Despite our limited knowledge of French, everything went smoothly. Franck guided us through the house in English and communication with Aurelie was also easy thanks to the Airbnb translator. Both were available during our stay and were very helpful and friendly. The house is equipped with everything you need and well maintained. We have done wonderful hikes in the nearby and further surroundings, especially the hiking trail along the nearby Trinquelin river. We also visited some beautiful cities: Vézelay, Avallon, Autun, Dijon. For us, therefore, a successful combination of absolute tranquility, nature and culture. Many thanks to Aurelie and Franck!

The cottage is as described. Clean. Everything you need to spend a long weekend. Only the evacuation of the toilets is bad. And for the best: the large well-maintained garden where you can read in the shade of the trees rocked by the song of the birds, have an aperitif at sunset in front of the canal and the Yonne. Beautiful walks around.
