10-15 minute walk from the Ishigaki Cultural Market, Kazuo Mark's AirBnB was the perfect little get away from the inner city but still close enough to find something to do. Welcoming home, close to the port, comfy bed, roomy apartment, and responsive kind hosts. +1 more star for their willingness to book a taxi for our stay after we turned in our rental.

It was great! After 11pm the activity in the common room decreases and you can relax, they also have an extra toilet and shower outside if you are in a hurry. The location is convenient if you want to be close to shops and cafes. It is a shared house, remember this even though it is an airbnb.

This was a great location. The house was perfect for a family or two. Sometimes sleeping arrangements for families can be difficult in Japan but there were four large beds all which were very comfortable. The view of the ocean was beautiful and you could walk to some restaurant or take a quick drive to downtown. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

Tsukasa’s place was truly amazing. Located literally steps away from one of the nicest beaches in Ishigaki, was paradise. Tsukasa is the best host I ever encountered and I have stayed at many airbnbs. Super friendly, always available and helpful with tons of local knowledge and tips. Thank you again for showing us the secret spot to see the fireflies - that’s a lifetime memory. Very flexible with check in and check out. By the way Tsukasa runs a windsurfing / paddle boarding guide and rental from the premises so again lots to do! The house has comfortable beds for 5 people in 2 bedrooms. All amenities needed were there. I would definitely stay there again.

I recommend staying here for a unique and authentic experience in the heart of Ishigaki! It is necessary to have a car to get there, but the area is convenient to go to the city (10 min by car). The area is beautiful and quiet, with a special beach 100 meters away and a beautiful park. The house offered all the comforts and the host was very kind to recommend special places and restaurants to go.

A unique and unforgettable Japanese stay! This was an incredible, spacious, and truly authentic Japanese house — a rare gem! Despite being a traditional tatami-style home, it’s flooded with natural light and feels warm, welcoming, and serene. The house is extremely well maintained, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail in place. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking even for large groups, and every room has its own charm. We stayed here as a group of 9 people and were amazed by how much space there was — we never felt crowded. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and the neighborhood is quiet but charming, with some lovely local restaurants just a short walk away. If you’re looking for a truly unique Japanese experience — living life on tatami floors, taking your shoes off at the entrance, and enjoying peaceful, minimalist beauty — this place is perfect. Highly recommended. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful retreat in a very peaceful location (rental car required). The villa was very spacious and you could walk for miles along the private beach without seeing a soul. The main improvement I'd suggest is the beds being made before guest arrival, but apart from that it was very good value for money. Thank you!

Lovely place right next to the sea - can easily watch sunrise and the sea. The place was extremely clean as if it is a brand-new house. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Will return in the future.

It was a clean and very pleasant space.The kitchen and bathroom were also new and easy to use.The washing machine was also a large capacity drum type, so I was able to quickly wash clothes for 5 people.However, it is a short walk from downtown, so you may want to take a taxi to get around.Overall, the room was beautiful and the communication was smooth, so we had a comfortable stay.Thank you very much.

The host is very kind. Before and after the reservation, he responds quickly to the guest's inquiries. The service is also good, such as filling the welcome drink set in the refrigerator, and providing coffee or tea, and life jackets for water activities. The accommodation is the same as the photos, and the condition is very good. Amenities and furniture necessary for living are provided, and the attic is equipped with a space for children and toys. I was also very satisfied with the natural scenery around the accommodation. There is a sea right in front of the accommodation, and when you open the living room window, there is a small wooden deck and a small yard. There is a tea table on the wooden deck, and there is a swing chair in the yard, so it is very good for watching the sea during the day and the stars at night. If you request in advance, you can rent a BBQ set for 5000 yen and enjoy it in the yard. If you request, you can rent a car, so you can explore Ise and Ise. There is also a parking lot, so you can park about 2 cars. I visited Ishigaki with my family of 4, including my parents, and I think that all 4 of us, including myself, had a very satisfying experience on this trip. So maybe I can revisit next year. If I visit again, I plan to stay at your listing again.
