The house owners are really kind and made me feel like I was staying at my grandparents’ house. We stayed nearby, so they were always around to help if needed. BBQ facilities are available—you just need to bring your own charcoal. I was also allowed to use the karaoke (with an old song list) and the TV. At night, you can hear the sounds of insects and frogs, which made me feel peaceful. We came to Gangneung by car, and it only takes about 15–30 minutes to get to Anmok and Jumunjin beaches. The house is very big. It was very spacious for our family of 7. The hosts live in the house, so it feels like you are in your grandparent's home. It was clean, but there are many personal items in the house. This didn't take away form our experience, but it wasn't a fresh pristine experience. The location is in a very quiet village. It is a little out of the way, so if you don't have a car, it will be difficult. Our family enjoyed the quiet location. The house was very clean. It was very comfortable. They also had a massage chair that came in handy after our 5 hour hike to Seorak Mountain. The water pressure was good and there was a lot of hot water. We didn't cook in the house, but if you did, there were a lot of utensils, cups, plates etc. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this house.

rose was an amazing host! she was very welcoming and made us feel very welcomed. her garden was so beautiful and was in a peaceful neighborhood just a 5 minute walk from the beach. the home was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.

There are restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby, and the walk to Anmok Beach is also beautiful.
