Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hochsauerlandkreis

We were 3 couples, 2 toddlers. The size of the house was great. Each had their own bathroom and retreat. The pool table, the hot tub and the outdoor sauna were great. A baby bed and a high chair were provided on request. We didn't lack anything. Next to the house is a large meadow and directly behind it a small playground. Perfect for the kids. The town of Cobbenrode is not large. In Eslohe, 7 km away, there are restaurants, shopping and also gastronomy with delivery service to Cobbenrode. Nearby, there are June and September Karl-May-Festspiele, unfortunately we were too early for that. For a long weekend with friends, to relax or to hike, the stay is definitely worth it. Spending time together and relaxing was important to us and that's exactly what we were able to enjoy in this great accommodation. Anna was always quick to respond to questions and was able to help remotely. Thank you very much.

Nice and complete house in a quiet area with lovely and sunny garden. The peace seekers can explore the beautiful nature during a walk or MTB trek (by ebike). For entertainment, winterberg is within a 10 minute car ride. Susanne is very hospitable and helpful.

We stayed at Anita's place for the second time. Like two years ago, it was very clean. The space complies with the descriptions. The sauna works great and warms up relatively quickly. The area is also great, there are a lot of nice activities. We missed the no longer existing hot tub (which was clearly not included in photos or description), but otherwise everything was great. We had a very nice weekend. Everything was very clear, from check-in to the amenities. The latter was phenomenal and perfect for a group trip. The landscape and the half-timbered style of the surrounding villages and the house itself were absolutely idyllic and there was plenty to do at the nearby Edertalsperre.

A really cozy, beautifully furnished cottage, beautifully located and everything sparkling clean ✨👌🏼 Right outside the door, you can take a wonderful walk or enjoy the tranquility of the garden. We felt very comfortable!

House was clean. Well furnished kitchen. Descriptions were clear. We brought our own linens to avoid extra cost.

Super nice! Idyllic, large meadow by the house great for ball game or frisbee, several creeks by the house + various cozy places. Inside everything very tasteful, nice mix of old + new, lots of wooden beams, very different room heights. Upstairs 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Toilet on the ground floor would be more practical, especially since the stairs are a little special, just old building. The remnants of the former mill right by the house ensure a clearly audible perpetual sludge. You can't hear cars passing by at some distance. Directly around the house there are only meadows, water, trees, fields as well as the neighboring house with 2 (?) other apartments. Lots of beautiful views. Brilon can be reached in 5 minutes by car, but you feel very nice to yourself due to the valley location. Weak Wi-Fi, which is noticeable during music streaming and use of the media library, for example. Good fully automatic coffee machine. With all the small criticism or ideas for improvement: we felt very comfortable!

A trip with 3 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space, so many loving details. An incredibly beautiful garden. All as described. Whether for grandma and grandpa or the children... everything was there and really lovingly designed. Open the door and feel good! We felt very comfortable from the first minute. We were warmly welcomed. The apartment is beautiful, super clean and well maintained. We liked the quiet location very much. When we had a question about the fireplace (don't have one at home😀), Silvia supported us by phone. The beds are totally cozy. From the apartment it is not far to beautiful sights (Plästerlegge waterfall for example) and larger cities (Willingen, Winterberg for example) After an active, eventful day, we were happy to return to the quiet, cozy apartment. In the well-equipped kitchen, we quickly cooked together and then ended the day on the comfortable couch in front of the fireplace - with a glass of wine or a beer 😉 Fully deserved 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the great Steigerhaus and a perfect vacation in the middle of the beautiful mountains. ❤️ Many thanks and best regards from the Beckmann family We will be very here

Beautiful place at a beautiful location. We went with a baby and they had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden is amazing for babies to play. We will come back again for sure :)

This is our third time staying with Ines! It's like "coming home"! As always everything supi and pleasant. We especially love the location and kindness of Ines and the immediate neighbors. We will always be happy to come back!

A very idyllic place in the midst of wonderful nature. Great for slowing down and relaxing. There is everything you could wish for, many seats, a large plot and barbecue facilities. Everything is very natural and yet well maintained. You can hike directly from the house and for my dog it was a paradise with a bathing spring. Thank you also for the warm welcome and for the good fairy Liane. I'd love to come back.

We felt very comfortable in Dagmar's apartment. The reception was directly friendly and the first time there were discovered numerous things that were left there only for us, as a family with 2 infants. That was incredibly sweet! Thank you very much also for the cute Easter basket! Simply warm and highly recommended all around! We will be happy to come back :)

Very well-equipped apartment perfectly located to explore the Sauerland!

Fantastic apartment in a great environment. We spent 2 nights here with our two children (3 and 8) and explored Fritzlar, the National Park and Kassel Wilhelmshöhe from there. The children especially liked the playground right next to the house and Wolfgang and Simone are great hosts! The old rectory is beautiful! We will be happy to come back.

A spacious and very well-equipped apartment with a great view of the Biggesee. The very beautiful surroundings invite you to various outdoor activities, and new views of the lake and the landscape can always be discovered. Stephanie was very friendly and helpful in her communication. An absolute recommendation for a little break!

We were warmly received in person and the accommodation was personally presented, so that no questions remained unanswered. The accommodation is very lovingly decorated and we felt very comfortable. Nothing is missing. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Several pillows are available for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is also well equipped. The accommodation is beautifully quiet and yet very central. Just perfect for a nice stay in Dortmund. Thank you very much.

We were very satisfied with the accommodation. Check-in worked very easily directly with Oli as the host. The apartment is very nice, absolutely clean and corresponds to the pictures. It is quietly located in the countryside in Altenkleusheim without traffic noise and the like. On the small terrace you can relax and enjoy a coffee, tea or wine with a view of the garden. The equipment is good, you can find everything you need. The highlight for us was the sauna, which we used on two rainy days of our stay. Afterwards, cuddling up by the fireplace in the living room is already premium🤩. And the surroundings are beautiful. Hiking at the Listertalsperre, at the Biggesee & Co. is fun and ensures pure relaxation and a good mood. Oli as a host was very attentive and always available/responds quickly to messages and also gave us great tips for exploring the area. We would therefore be happy to come back☺️.

We stayed at Merle's cottage for 2 nights due to a wedding we had there. The cottage is very nicely located right in the center but still quiet. It is very cozy, tasteful and very clean. Sufficient parking space in the neighbourhood.

Very nice apartment in a beautiful setting. She is very clean and we didn't miss anything for such a stay. Shopping facilities can be reached quickly by car and the opportunities for the children are sufficient. The Spielberg has been the reason for our stay, this is great and if the weather thinks it is necessary, you have swimming pools right nearby.

It is a very nice apartment where everything you need is present. Cozy and clean. Netflix on the TV that allows you to log in with your own account. And good beds. It is in the built-up area in a quiet location next to a reasonably large lake. Plenty of room to let the dog run or swim. And within walking distance of Bad Lippspringe, which you can reach via a beautiful route through the park. In Bad Lippspringe, there are a few restaurants and various shops. Beautiful hiking trails in the area. About 20 km away, you have Detmold, a very nice town with many restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful week and will definitely come back to Valentina when we come back to the area.
