Holiday rentals in Haast Pass

We loved our time in Karina’s place, it was so lovely and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s described as a tiny home, but the living area and kitchen feel plenty spacious for a couple. The kitchen was really well equipped for a tiny home, with a proper oven and a full fridge freezer. Very comfy bed, and the loft was easy to get in and out of. I’m 6ft3 and it was absolutely fine. We were also nice and warm at night despite it being cold outside. The bathroom had everything we needed and the shower was great. The house having a washer/dryer was an enormous plus. So helpful to have while travelling around NZ. Nowhere else we stayed had one! We loved making a fire in the fire pit, and enjoyed a few glasses of local wine while stargazing. The house is a short walk to Mrs Woolly’s, which has a lovely cafe for lunch/coffees, as well as a small convenience store stocked with all the essentials. House felt very private despite being a short walk from town and the lake. 10/10!!

Hands down the best air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. We booked relatively last minute and Kimmie was super responsive and able to accommodate us. We found the place easy to find (iPhone maps led us right there). The house was immaculate, great fitout, very clean and tidy, and full of character. Words cannot describe the location - you just have to see it for yourself. The sunset is like nothing I have ever witnessed before in my life. The neighbours are miles away so very quiet and private. Everything we needed was provided. The house is well stocked with all the essentials, and Kimmie was very generous, even offering up the contents of the pantry to help ourselves. She recommended local places to eat, and I highly recommend the craypot in Jackson bay for lunch and the hard antler bar in haast for dinner or a drink. The only thing I was sad about is that we had to leave this beautiful beachside paradise - but we will be back! I highly recommend this stay and Kimmie as a host. Thank you!

Sally's place was perfect for us.. The home was comfortable, clean and warm.. Kitchen was good to have with all the amenities.... The hot tub was Gold.. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the home and lots of forest walking/ mtn biking trails close by.. Lake Hawea close by was really nice too.. Sally was helpful with any questions we had including recomending the best route for us to drive up there from Queenstown which was an unreal scenic easy drive to get to the home.. We'd definatley go back and would highly recommend to anyone else considering a stay here...

Lovely stay, enjoyed the sauna and the views of the mountains. Kristy was a lovely host and even had a scrapbook of her family and their involvement and influence in the town which was really interesting context and made us feel like we knew our hosts a little better. We were sad we only stayed one night but it was a great launch point for our hike through the Copeland Valley the following day. The place is also close to the Fox Glacier viewpoint, so we were able to sneak that in before our big day of hiking. If you have time, we also heard the helicopter tours and helicopter-hikes were also fabulous in the area.

We had a fantastic stay! The cottage is incredibly well-equipped, and we especially loved the fireplace, which made the evenings warm and cozy. The view is absolutely stunning, probably one of the best lakefront locations on Lake Hawea. The hosts were also very responsive and friendly, always quick to help with any questions. We would love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort and amazing scenery!

One of my absolute favourite stays we’ve found on airbnb. This place is something special, such a wonderful home in such a beautiful location. We drove in from Wānaka and the drive was incredible. The bathtub was a great inclusion, and the kitchen space was really well done with everything you could need. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay somewhere out of the busyness of Queenstown and Wānaka.

We had the most perfect stay at the Boatshed studio even with orange level rain warnings! It was cozy, clean and had great views of the beach. The barista coffee machine was such a lovely touch as there is not really anywhere else to have coffee (unless you go to the Cray Pot in Jackson Bay which I recommend)! Very easy place to check in to as the instructions sent through were thorough and easy to follow. Thank you!! We will be back!!!

It's a luxurious accommodation experience!The house is located in a manor, with a very large hill and lake in front, and you can see the cattle in the back. You can see the sunrise at 8am.Home and surroundings, everything is pleasing to the eye.We and our three-year-old were reluctant to leave.Highly recommended!
