Great little place to stay, close walking distance to Central Park and a transportation hub

Excellent communication beforehand. Host answered every question quickly and clearly. Casa is less than ten minutes walk from thé center of Bayamo . All exactly as pictured. Filling, fresh breakfast. Roof terrace with rocking chairs was great to get some breeze in the evening. Bayamo travel agency very useful if you want to do trips to Santo Domingo, they really went above and beyond. Meson du Chichipapa is a great eating option.

The place is actually not a typical casa particular, but a real eco-resort. You live in your own bungalow on the property of the host family, of which there are several. The furnishings are simple, but functional. The air conditioning is a bit of nonsense, because the room is largely open (safely protected by fly screens), so you would have to cool the entire Sierra Maestra if you turn it on, but you don't have to, because at the altitude the night temperature was completely OK even in the hot summer. Ceiling fans also provide a refreshing breeze. So everything is fine. The location is spectacular. In the middle of the Sierra Maestra, right at the entrance to the national park, on the other side of the river. You can't get any closer to nature. A small path leads from the Casa to a holiday camp and then to some small cottages with a lot of pets, so that, if you like, you can enjoy a large dose of rural Cuba on a short walk. In the Casa itself, on the other hand, you have the feeling of nature in the forest. The restaurant belonging to the Casa, which also serves as a living room, is particularly beautiful. Here you sit outside, the bar is open for the guests at night, there is beer and cocktails, and of course breakfast and dinner, both at very fair prices in very good quality (but without choice - there is just a dish, on the first evening it was wonderful suckling pig with us, on the second juicy chicken). The friendly staff organize all desired excursions and arrange this with the national park staff (without guide you can't do anything), which is very practical. The mandatory tour to Comandancia La Plata, where Castro was entrenched before the revolution, is so easy to arrange, including horse rides. If you come by car: You can easily and safely park on the other side of the river, the friendly helpers drag your suitcases across the river. Highly recommend!

Nice place to stay in Bayamo. Clean and good breakfast. Oscar and his wife are very kind and help with everything. The place is relatively central.

Our stay at Yanisel's was our biggest surprise and love at first sight! She is of incomparable tenderness and kindness! Bayamo is worth a visit just for her and her husband! She will always be there to help you, to guide you. Bayamo is an ideal point for visiting the Sierra Maestra, feel free to ask Yanisel who will take care of this for you. The place is well located, not too far from the terminal and close to the center. The house is very neat, clean and warm. The small terrace is ideal for spending some time over a drink and resting. Once again, Yanisel was unparalleled in her kindness, she is genuinely adorable and did us a favor without asking for anything in return, we recommend this place without hesitation! Jenry is a great host! He gets out of his way just to make sure you are happy! Whatever you need, he will help you! I highly recommend to stay with him! I certainly would do so again without hesitation!

Oscar and his wife were lovely to us. We had a great welcome with a natural juice and the best recommendations. We loved the restaurant you recommended! Also worth highlighting are the breakfasts they offer, which are not lacking in anything. It was a pleasure to stay with them and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Gabriel and his wife were friendly all the time! During our stay, they tried their best to make it comfortable for us. Gabriel gave us a lot advices about those trips you can explore the nature around Bayamo. Those were really useful. The Casa is in the Center of Bayamo so everything is very close with couple minutes walk. During the day there could be couple cars driving by but in the evening it‘s really quiet and I did have good sleep which is soooo important during a long travel. To the viazul bus station you just take a Cubano „taxi“ with 5 CUC, it‘s very convenient. The two restaurants we tried, recommended by Gabriel, were really good. I totally recommend here to all the guests.

We had a nice stay in Bayamo and enjoyed the small Terrasse on the first floor a lot. The family dog was very cute and playful and the host, Lorenzo, always eager to help out!
