We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Octopus! It was a very nice layout with a family. Loved the connecting bedrooms upstairs, and even a baby gate for the stairs and top locks on the doors to the outside. We loved how easy it was to swim and go to the beach here! We went to Mudita for coffee in the morning which was wonderful. Would love to come back for a longer stay! Willoughby beach was quiet and away from crowds.

I can't say enough positive things about Alice and her home. She was incredibly welcoming, and made my entire weekend a delight. Her home is beautiful, and it was a very comfortable stay. But Alice's kindness and generosity really went above and beyond. Thank you again!

The host was so kind and made sure we had a comfortable stay! The AC ended up not working due to an accidental mishap when she was working on her yard! She was able to get the AC fixed as we arrived to the Air BNB and we had the coolest room ever ( which we love) especially on a hot day! We are thankful for the time she took to get that done ASAP! She also had a wonderful cute cottage with all that you’d need for a short stay! It was equipped with great dishes and all the things you’d need for a perfect stay in a home :) it was extremely clean and decorated nicely for your small family! It also has a beautiful back yard oasis to sit out and relax or go for a swim :) you won’t want to miss this Airbnb!! Located near the beach and a great park and walking paths for you kiddos!! All you need nearby just a short walk away!! It was a great getaway for the weekend with a very kind host who is always there to help if needed :)

The house was super clean when we got there, the temperature of the house was great the entire stay. The pool was certainly clean, but since we went early, June the water was a little bit cold, but it felt really nice and refreshing honestly. There were three beach chairs and a wagon there that were helpful for traveling to the beach. There were available cups plate, utensils, and all the necessities that you would need, they even had shampoo and conditioner bottles there for us. We weren’t aware that there was a code to get into the house so instructions for check-in were a little bit unclear, but all I had to do is message and they responded. Overall, I would recommend staying here because even though the area surrounding isn’t the nicest, I felt safe the entire time at that house!

We had a great family visit at this house. We really enjoyed the pool and whole house was very comfortable and clean! It was nice to just hang all day by the pool or top for a sanctuary from a long day of events. Sabrina was very attentive and responsive with questions and situations, appreciate her flexibility as a host!

Mark is a great host. The house is immaculate. Every little detail is perfect. By far the nicest AirBNB I have ever rented. Mark made sure everything was perfect for our visit with our son in the Navy.

This was our second stay at this Airbnb and we were incredibly glad we decided to book again! The place is exactly as described, has all the beach supplies so you don’t need to pack it all, is just a quick walk to beach (awesome with kids), and the view can’t be beat. Heidi was an extremely responsive host who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic - you can tell her priority is the guest! My family of 5 plus a grandma enjoyed lazy mornings on the patio, taking in stunning sunsets over dinner, and long days on the beach (bathroom breaks back at the house are a snap due to the close proximity). The outdoor shower with warm water is especially helpful with kids! We will be back at least twice this upcoming year. Thanks for another great stay!

Very nice stay, very nice home and neighborhood. Ideal for a “base camp” to explore all of eastern Virginia and neighboring areas. Sometimes, traveling in this manner, small glitches happen. Most are easily solved with good communication, a responsive host and mutual cooperation. Had a small glitch - easily and quickly solved with these practices. Many thanks to the Host of this property!

Had a great girls weekend. It was peaceful and such a cute and quiet neighborhood. We would stay again. It’s located close to everything. The hot water was wonderful. 🤭

Mr Gabriel’s home exceeded our expectations! He was very detailed with his check in instructions and lets you know where everything is upfront. Communication was great, he checked in daily to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. This place is very comfy and feels like home. It’s more spacious than what the photos show, especially the bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has a large walk-in closet along with an en-suite bathroom. Both bathrooms have standing showers and fully stocked with toiletries. Bedrooms #2 and #3 are spacious with a nice size closet space. Description doesn’t mention about a 4th bedroom but it was locked and off limits. Plenty of towels and washcloths were available in the hallway closet. Fenced in backyard for children to play outside. Kitchen has a dishwasher, a full size washer and dryer, Keurig machine, toaster over, air fryer and all utensils we needed to make our meals. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. God willing, I’ll rebook this for future trips.

Sarah’s Portsmouth home exceeded our expectations. Coming from Phoenix, we were looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to unwind with family and this home delivered. It was clean, cozy, and full of charm. Mornings were especially memorable with coffee on the deck while birdwatching and enjoying the quiet surroundings. We didn’t feel the need to plan activities — simply being together in such a relaxing space was more than enough. It felt like a true retreat. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your beautiful home!

The place was beautiful inside and out. My family and I felt like we’re at home. I love the outdoor space. Most of the times, my parents and I chilled outside enjoying the weather and chitchatting with each other. My family and I came down from Pennsylvania to visit my sisters who live about 10-15 mins away from the home. My family and I had a great time during our weekend stay. Hopefully one day we’ll come back and stay at this beautiful home again. I highly recommend this beautiful home. Definitely 5 stars :)

This place was everything it is advertised to be. It was the perfect fit for my family of 7. The game room was a great addition for the kids!

Alex was very responsive and helpful. We had an issue with the air conditioner and he was on top of it for us, everything was as described and fit our families need. Would stay again.

Our group came into town for a music festival in VA beach; the house was perfectly comfortable and our dogs were truly welcome which was a huge draw for me. The house has a large backyard with a high fence that was perfect for our two larger doggos. They were comfortable going in and out. The kitchen has all the dishes we could have needed and the fridge was spacious enough for everything we had. Everyone had their own space, we had all of the linens we needed and then some. The couch in the living room is large and super comfortable; we were all able to hang out and have a movie night every night. Getting in and out of the house was so easy and felt like coming home after our long days. The bedrooms are a little hot to sleep in but it’s also June in the south, I don’t think this can be avoided. Instructions and information on the house was impeccable compared to other places we’ve stayed in. We are truly grateful for our stay! Thank you!

5 Stars – A Truly Magical Stay! This home was an absolute gem! The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind, making everything from check-in to check-out seamless. The yard was stunning—bursting with colorful flowers, wildlife, and peaceful lake views that made it feel like a private retreat. Inside, the house was spotless, thoughtfully organized, and stocked with everything one could possibly need to feel completely at home. The décor was absolutely beautiful, with an eye for detail that created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would return in a heartbeat—highly recommend!
