Kid-friendly holiday rentals in German Colony, Jerusalem

Outstanding value for money, lovely accommodation with everything you could possibly need in it. It felt like a luxury penthouse suite with the huge rooftop terrace right opposite my door. There is plenty of space to move about in the accommodation as well as having a lovely garden to relax in, i couldn't believe my luck when i first stepped in the place i no doubt had hit the jackpot. Fadwa and her sisters can only be described as beautiful people very warm and welcoming and the perfect hosts. Easily one of the best accommodations i have stayed in and in my view and easy 5 star rating.

Everything was so perfect! I was doing work for part of my stay and I needed excellent internet connection- it was superb! I definitely will stay there again if I need to be in the area.

when we first arrived we found the apartment spotless and sparkling. Frederick was very welcoming and helpful. we found ourselves in a very difficult situation and Frederick and his family welcomed us in their home. we are very grateful for him and his family for being so accommodating and helpful.

היה ממש כיף ונעים לשהות בדירה. היינו שם משפחה עם ילדים. היא מאובזרת היטב עד רמה של תבלינים, נרות שבת, כסא תינוק, וכלי רחצה. דירה מעוצבת בטוב טעם וברמת גימור גבוהה, יפה ונעימה. יש די מרחב למשפחה בחלל הסלון-פינת אוכל-מטבח. המארחת, נחמה, אדיבה, זמינה, ואינפורמטיבית. מיקום מושלם! חווינו את קסמה של נחלאות, היינו תוך דקות בודדות של הליכה ברחביה, בשוק מחנה יהודה, ברחוב יפו, במדרחוב, בגן סאקר... הכניסה היא מתוך סמטה קטנה ושקטה כך שגם אזור הכניסה לדירה אינטימי. אנו ממש ממליצים!

בית יפהפה במשכנות שאננים. נוף מדהים לעיר העתיקה. אנחנו דתיים והיה תענוג שהבית כשר למהדרין. היה בו את כל מה שצריך בשביל אירוח בשבת, כולל כלי אוכל, כלים להגשה, לבישול. ממש חשבו על הכל. גם המזווה היה עשיר ומזמין. שרה, בעלת הבית, הייתה מהממת מהרגע הראשון ויצאה מגדרה לעזור ולבוא לקראתנו. נשמח מאד מאד לבוא להתארח שוב!

זוג, התארחנו סופש ונהננו מאוד. היחידה מקסימה, שקטה ונעימה. יש פינת ישיבה חמודה בחצר. אריאן מתוקה ממש, דאגה להכל, ונתנה תחושה נעימה לשהות שלנו.

We loved staying in Michal and Barak’s enchanting home. We also loved the large garden even though we visited in winter. Their spacious artistic home is very close to restaurants and our favorite theater on Emek and walking distance to Ben Yehuda and the old city. We were very comfortable and our hosts were extremely welcoming and responsive. This was a great stay!

Overall great. Bathrooms are beautiful and new. Showers great. Rooms are simple which I prefer - the place doesn’t have any clutter and doesn’t feel lived in. Good ac, closets. Balcony view is spectacular. Kitchen looks great but I didn’t use it much. Didn’t notice any plates so if you need a meal will need paper. There was flatware though. Washer dryer was key to keep towels clean throughout the stay. Overall very clean but a little dusty in places. The building is great, elevators in great condition, nice lobby and courtyard in front with pretty plants. I like the self check in - host communicated consistently. We were close to inbal hotel where some of our party was staying which worked out perfectly. There was a market and breakfast spot in front of that hotel too where I got some stuff. While I could have chosen a smaller place for less and still fit my family of 5 I’m glad I went with this as nothing else seemed as updated. For 2 extra guest for part of the time.

Perfect (!!) location. This is the hosts’ regular home, so it feels very cosy and lived-in, in a good way. The place is a bit old but very well maintained. Everything was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. A pleasant and homey stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Laura’s apartment. She met me when I arrived to show me around. The 12th floor sky-high views of the city are amazing. There’s a washer and dryer in the apartment. The apartment is conveniently located next to the Davidka light rail stop. It’s a short walk to Machane Yehuda market and Ben Yehuda Street. There’s a large supermarket right next door to the building entrance. If you’re looking for a clean and convenient stay in Jerusalem, I highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay in Jerusalem at Tsipora’s. The place was perfect for our family, location was near to playgrounds, restaurants, and easy to get in and out of the city. Having a parking spot available was key for our travels. Tsipora was very accommodating with our check in schedule and very responsive. Would highly recommend her place!

Excellent location, with easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes. Chava is extremely kind and accommodating, and was always happy to help when needed. The room is located underneath a synagogue, which begins services early on Saturday mornings. Very easy to fall back asleep though, but potentially noteworthy for light sleepers. Chava was very communicative about this, though, and it did not get in the way at all of an incredible stay!

Yigal and his family did a good job clearing out their place and getting it ready for us -- towels where you want them, the hot water turn on for Shabbat, and even a timer for the heat. Very comfortable living room and warm blankets on the bed. Much appreciated. I never needed to talk to Yigal about anything but he is clearly nice -- letting us know that we could take anything we needed from their well-stocked kitchen. This was a lived place -- with the toys neatly stacked at the side of the room. It is not fancy but very comfortable and clean. We would rent again.

We have stayed at Gary's place 4 or 5 times now. We love the space, ease, light, and location of the apartment. Everything we need is always there and the host is very responsive if we have any questions. Hope to be back again soon!

Ofra and Yaron were wonderful hosts. They were very responsive and took care of anything that came up right away. We were there for Pesach, and they kashered the apartment and had a full set of dishes and cookware for Pesach which was amazing, and we were able to do lots of cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. The location is great as well, just a short walk to Emek Refaim and the Hadar Mall, with multiple beautiful parks and playgrounds nearby, and a soccer field right across the street.

Great location, close to all we needed. Comfortable bed. Private and quiet most of the time, (except a few nights there was singing from the street nearby around 2am.) Overall a wonderful place to stay.

We had a wonderful Shabbat at Jonathan's place. It looks like the pictures and had plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, etc. Two hot plates, hot water urns, etc. Would highly recommend. Host was extremely responsive.

L'appartement de Yam est plein de charme avec son côté vintage et sa déco bohème, dans un immeuble ancien (les marches des deux étages sont un peu hautes). Le quartier est un des plus beaux et des plus calmes de Jérusalem. Il y a des bus non loin qui amènent à la vieille ville et des épiceries à proximité (Anise, magasin bio sur Ha Palmach est à 8mn à pied). Les instructions d'arrivée sont très claires et Yam est très réactive. J'avais besoin d'un grille pain, elle l'a apporté dans l'heure. Il faut juste respecter les règles de la casherout pour les couverts. Bref, j'ai été vraiment ravie de mon séjour dans cet appartement et j'y reviendrai avec plaisir.
