Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

We had the best time at Maria‘s cozy cottage. You can enjoy the big garden and a great view over the ocean, accompanied by two lovely cats. The cottage is small but you have everything you need. André, Maria and her husband are very friendly. We had some nice conversations with them. We would love to visit this place again soon!

Wat een fantastische plek ! Alleen al de locatie is 5 sterren waard. Het wandelen naar het strand is inderdaad een afdeling/klim, maar 100% de moeite waard. Fijn dat overal horren voor de ramen zaten. We hebben geen last gehad van ongedierte. Onze host was snel en vriendelijk en heeft ons goed geholpen met tips over het eiland (er is ontzettend veel te doen), en zelfs een taart georganiseerd voor de verjaardag van twee van ons. Kortom, we zijn erg tevreden over ons verblijf.

Wir haben uns direkt wohl bei Jéssica gefühlt. Als wir in die Unterkunft gekommen sind wurden wir mit Wein, leckeren Käse, Früchte und mehr begrüßt. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und sauber. Die Wohnung ist gut gelegen, man hat seine Ruhe, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gegeben und mit dem Auto ist alles gut erreichbar. Der Backofen hat leider Probleme gemacht und Jéssica hat direkt am nächsten Tag einen neuen einbauen lassen. Die Kommunikation war sehr gut und uns wurde immer schnell weitergeholfen. Das Bett ist leider etwas ungemütlich, der Rest war perfekt. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Thankyou Maria Luisa for sharing your WONDERFUL home with us. You have provided everything needed including an AMAZING view in a peaceful surrounding. You were always trying to make our visit perfect and you succeeded. From the overflowing welcome basket to arranging for fresh bread delivered to the gate post. The weather was less than ideal ( the worse in 50 years according to the locals), however a warm fire in the fireplace, heaters and plenty of warm blankets kept us very comfortable. There is the annoyance of barking dogs, unfortunately there is nothing more the host can do to correct this. We have encountered this issue on most of our stays in the Azores. The location is ideal for exploring the Island by car. We will definitely return to this beautiful oasis in Maia, overlooking the village and the ocean. Amazing stay would definitely come back to this beautiful property. Interior was clean and homey apart from one encounter with a cockroach-that is apparently normal at this time of year but wish we were given a heads up. Host was always quick to respond and managed to check us in early which was greatly appreciated for our early flight.

La casa di Lucia trasmette la sua personalità e la sua accoglienza. È stata molto carina anche nel consigliarci i luoghi da visitare, i momenti migliori per goderseli e i locali da non perdere. La casa è grande, accoglie fino a 5 persone ed è fornita di ogni elettrodomestico, Lucia ci ha anche fatto trovare delle delizie tipiche delle Azzorre. Non potevamo trovare di meglio.

Beautiful, secluded little cottage with a lovely private garden. Excellent communication, instructions and helpful recommendations. We had a lovely stay here and the accommodation had everything we needed. There is a supermarket in walking distance and the garden was quiet, full of birds and great for watching the sunset. I don’t know how much is within walking distance, but we had a rental car and this was perfect for our requirements. Thank you!

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. The place was fabulous, Roberto was a great accommodating host. We would definitely come back if we come back to Sao Miguel. The house is great for a large group, with large accommodating rooms, a beautiful backyard with an amazing view. Location is central on the island so not more than 40 min drive to anywhere you would like to go, 20 min to Ponta Delgada (the largest town/city). Only comment for improvement would be the air conditioning, it is only in one area of the house, not throughout, so the bedrooms can be warm if you are a custom to A/C in bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Roberto.

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

Alexandra ist die beste Gastgeberin, die man sich vorstellen kann. Sie ist sehr freundlich und zuverlässig. Das Haus ist fantastisch und gut aufgeteilt. Die Kinder hatten Spaß mit den Tieren. Ich empfehle eine Buchung und würde immer wieder gerne zurückkommen.

My stay at this Airbnb property was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I booked, the host was incredibly responsive and provided swift communication, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. The property itself is nestled in a beautiful and safe area, which added to the overall experience. I felt completely at ease during my stay, knowing I was in such a secure neighborhood. One of the highlights was the clean and spacious swimming pool. It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a lovely oasis to soak up the sun. The house was equipped with everything needed for daily life, from kitchen essentials to cozy living spaces. It was clear that the host had thought of everything to make guests feel at home. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This place was incredible. Very scenic and peaceful. We loved the sounds of the animals, the cows and the odd cat that would show up. This house was in pristine condition and very cozy. I’ve never had a more informative and smooth check in anywhere. The pool was exceptionally warm and perfect if you have kids. We would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans cette maison pleine de charme. José a été très présent et attentif, ce qui a grandement facilité notre arrivée et notre installation. La maison est exactement conforme au descriptif et aux photos : un véritable cocon, chaleureux et confortable, où l’on se sent immédiatement chez soi. Nichée au bord du lac, elle offre un cadre idyllique avec une vue à couper le souffle – les levers et couchers de soleil y sont tout simplement extraordinaires. C’est un lieu idéal pour les amoureux de l’authentique et de la simplicité, avec une atmosphère paisible et sincère, loin des artifices. Seul petit bémol : la route en contrebas, pavée et très passante, mais cela n’enlève rien à la beauté du site, qui fait partie des paysages les plus remarquables de l’île. Un grand merci encore à José pour son accueil !

A casa da Madrinha é um verdadeiro lar, tem tudo o que é necessário e até mais. Como muita loiça e utensílios de cozinha, bastantes toalhas para utilizar diariamente, tudo a pensar no hóspede. Tudo na casa está perfeito, a Sandra está de parabéns desejo lhe todo sucesso. Aconselho vivamente esta casa, a nossa família adorou. Obrigado

Maria was a wonderful host. Great communication and friendly. She not only let us check-in early but she allowed us to leave our luggage when checking out due to our flight being delayed. The place looks exactly like the pictures. For anyone with mobility issues please be aware that there is a flight of stairs up to the house when you enter, plus there are stairs up to 4 bedrooms. The outside space had amazing views, and if the weather cooperates it’s a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. We were unfortunate that the weather was not the best. I recommend Maria’s house.

Casa do Rei was easy to find, had easy check in, and well located in walking distance to city center and fumaroles. The home is loved and taken care of. There is unique and detailed decor in every corner. The porch views are amazing as shown in pictures and we enjoyed the stay greatly.

Great stay in a charming old typical local villa. Space enough for 6, very comfortably furnished and equipped, in centre of town but very calm, nice little creek behind the house, kids loved it. Good parking for two cars under the palms in front of the house. We definitely would book Casa Delft again.

Très bon accueil, nous sommes arrivés un peu tard mais Carlos nous attendait.. Logement est bien situé avec une belle vue très bien équipé il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Carlos était au petit soin disponible et soucieux de notre bien être. Je recommande vivement.. Le couché de soleil le soir sur la terrasse est bien agréable !! Merci encore à Carlos pour son accueil !
