Holiday rentals with beach access in Free municipal consortium of Syracuse

A lovely apartment in a great location, very close to a nice swimming spot. Ortigia is a fascinating place that is well worth a visit. Chiara & Gabriele were very helpful and answered all our questions very helpfully. I hope we can return!

My wife and I traveled to Ortigia with our daughter for her 25th birthday. This home checked all the boxes when we booked it. Location on the water, nice modern home, walking distance to everything we wanted to see. But, when we got there, it was so much more amazing than we could have imagined. The home is beautiful - on the water with a stunning rooftop deck and amazing sunsets. Its situated right in the heart of Ortigia next to Fountain Arethusa. Walk out the front door onto the cobble streets to restaurants, coffee bars, shops. Turn right and walk a few minutes to Castello Maniace. Turn left and walk a few minutes to the Piazza Duomo. Yolande was an amazing host. Communication was great. Answered all my questions and helped find us a driver for the week which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our driver, Beppe, was born in Ortigia and taught us more about Sicily during our car rides than any guide we could have round. Grazie Yolande!

Lovely apartment right in the centre of Ortigia. The place is on a nice quiet street so no crowd noises in the evenings. Loads of restaurants and shops in walkable distance. Ortigia has traffic restrictions so parking is about 20 min walk. The view from the balcony was amazing and the sea is just at the end of the street!

A wonderful place to stay! Beautiful views of the boats in the little harbor. Easy, quick walk into Ortigia. Beware that the spiral staircase to upper bedroom and bath could be a bit tricky for older folks to navigate. A lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath unit with kitchen, dining and couch/TV area and washer/dryer. Alverio was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. A perfect host in a perfect place!

We had an enjoyable stay in this roomy apartment. Communication with Emily was immediate, directions were clear and easy to follow, list of places to shop and eat was useful. Was given recommendation and contact for garage to park car, 20 euro per night.

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal bei Daniela zu Gast. Die Wohnung ist groß hat shabby Charm, nichts ist neu, aber es ist irgendwie romantisch. Die Lage ist perfekt und wir lieben die große Dachterasse. Es ist total ruhig und man hört und sieht das Meer und man ist dennoch mitten in der Altstadt.

The best accommodation of our trip. Excellent location, walkable to everything. Apartment was very clean, spacious and had everything you would need and more. Lots of extras that others don’t provide. Maria was a very good host who helped us with restaurants, time tables even carrying our bags up the stairs. Overall I was very impressed.

Wir waren 12 Tage mit 2 Personen in der Wohnung und wären am liebsten noch ewig dort geblieben! Die Wohnung in der obersten Etage war phantastisch mit einer absolut grandiosen Aussicht auf die Meeresbucht den Hafen und die historische Altstadt von Siracusa. Die individuelle und geschmackvolle Wohnungseinrichtung entsprach voll und ganz den Bildern. Last but not least: Santi ist ein sehr freundlicher und immer hilfsbereiter Vermieter, der bei Fragen und Anliegen schnell hilft. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über seine wertvollen Informationen über die Umgebung und Empfehlungen für zahlreiche Ausflüge und Restaurants. Wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter empfehlen!!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub. Die Ferienwohnung ist wirklich toll und hat einen einmaligen Blick auf das Mittelmeer. Wenche ist eine super sympathische Gastgeberin, die sich um alles kümmert.

A fantastic apartment for a family. Extremely quiet and amazing location, steps from the sea. Rooftop deck has views of both the sunrise and sunset! Very clean, comfy beds, and modern. We would definitely stay here again. The host helped us with everything, and provided wonderful restaurant recommendations.

Even nicer than we imagined- the patio is right off the bedroom making it super easy to use for breakfast and afternoon drinks. It has the best view in the city!

Giuliana was a wonderful host – warm, welcoming, and always discreet. Her beautiful Shanti is a truly special place: the house is stunning, peaceful, and the pool adds a magical touch. We felt at home from the very first moment. Giuliana was always available with helpful suggestions and made our stay in Sicily even more enjoyable. Her kindness and care made a real difference. This has been a holiday we will always remember with joy. Thank you, Giuliana, from all of us – we hope to return soon to this little oasis of peace.

A lot of care & effort has gone into the restoration & furnishing of this house. Comfort (bed) & practicality (kitchen) is at an all time high. Within walking distance from all of Ortigia's sites plus the archaeological park (30m) and train station (25m). Would happily stay again!

Alice, Santi und ihre Tochter sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und mit hilfreichen Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants, aber trotzdem unaufdringlich und respektvoll, was deine Privatsphäre angeht. Die Verständigung auf Englisch war problemlos möglich. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und sehr sauber. Sie ist ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Dazu viele Extras , wie Getränke zur Begrüßung, Gewürze, Öl und auch Kleinigkeiten zum Essen. Das Auto steht sicher auf dem abgesperrten Grundstück, und die Terrasse zum draußen Sitzen haben wir zum Frühstück und Abendessen sehr genossen. Außerdem hat sie eine perfekte Lage. In Laufentfernung ist der wunderschöne Arenella Beach, und mit dem Auto ist es nicht weit zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Syracuse, Noto, Marzamemi, Catania etc. Wir haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt wie hier. Abgerundet wurde das ganze durch den absolut lieben und ruhigen Hund Pit und ein paar süße, aber scheue Katzen.

Wir haben 5 Nächte in der Unterkunft von Maria verbracht und uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist so zentral gelegen, das man die gesamte Insel Ortigia ablaufen kann und wirklich zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten selbst in Syrakus zu Fuß gelangen kann. Die kleine Insel ( die Altstadt ) ist ein Traum und wir haben jede Menge Tips von Maria bekommen um wirklich das Beste zu erleben. Die Wohnung ist vom frische Markt 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und dort haben wir die besten Sandwiches der Welt gegessen. Auch ein Ausflug zu den Meereshölen war ein traumhaftes Erlebnis und der beste Tip von Maria. Danke - wir kommen wieder Rainer und Michaela

The apartment is full of character and is in a great location allowing you to easily walk to all of the wonderful attractions of Ortigia. Rita was a great hostess offering lots of advice and guidance. The apartment was really comfortable and we would love to go back for another visit. Thank you!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Tolle Lage, die Decken war hoch und die Zimmer geräumig. Dass, das Bad recht klein ist, hat uns nicht gestört. Am Wochenende war es teilweise recht laut. Da es ein Eckhaus ist, kommt recht viel Lärm von außen an. Ansonsten konnten wir aber sehr gut schlafen. Wir haben ein babybett & babystuhl bereitgestellt bekommen und der Kontakt mit Aurora war auch zuverlässig und schnell. Wir haben einen Sonnenschirm in der Unterkunft gelassen und hoffen, dass er auch von anderen Gästen genutzt werden kann.

I loved this apartment! it is in a superb location, a block from the ocean and walkable to every site, every store and every restaurant. it was cozy and it was quiet. I would come back here again in an instant! Maria and her partner were very friendly, interested in ensuring I had a great stay, and very accommodating when I asked if I could leave my luggage a bit longer beyond checkout. She couldn't have been kinder in agreeing to this and she even offered to drive me to meet friends rather than have me pull my luggage through the streets. She went above and beyond! Given the spotlessness of the apartment, the amenities, the recommendations, and its proximity to all, this is an absolute gem!!

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Lucia's family home. Communication was fantastic from the start but this continued with a catch up to hand over the keys and a tour of her beautiful family home. There were notes left for swim spots, restaurants, must see activities plus a beautiful handwritten book on the island and some welcome goodies. The house itself was huge, with ample room for two adult children with us. Air con was a welcome with temperatures at mid thirty as was the huge outdoor terrace which was used daily. Th kitchen was well equipped with coffee machine, washing machine, lots of equipment. There were games and yoga mats, swim towels and everything you may need plus a selection of items if you had forgotten anything. We worked our way through most of Lucia's restaurant suggestions, all were fabulous. I swam at least twice a day in the crystal clear water 5 minutes from the house. The bus was easy from the airport and we also took the bus to Nato. Thank you Lucia.

A really beautiful apartment in a great location - walkable to restaurants and the sea. Host was super responsive and we got an early check in which was great. The balconies got sun all day and were great spots to watch the sunset. My only slight complaint would be that the shared terrace could do with a bit of up keep (eg replacing the broken sun loungers). Nevertheless, I would defo recommend!! Saw in other reviews there had been some noise complaints but we stayed for 6 nights and did not think it was too noisy - the noise you would expect from such a central apartment. The host also kindly supplies ear plugs.

We spent a very pleasant 10 days at Salvo and his parents place. After exploring the beautiful surrounding towns, we were able to spend time in the garden or cool off in the sea, to which there is direct access. The hosts are very hospitable and helpful. An ideal place for a quiet vacation in Sicily.

We had a wonderful stay in Claudio’s beautiful and elegant place. The location was perfect for exploring Noto. Claudio himself provided lots of excellent information (Ristorante Manna a real highlight) and was always extremely responsive. We very much hope to be able to stay again.

Nous sommes ravis de ces trois jours passés Syracuse chez Fabio. Le logement est extrêmement bien placé juste à côté d’Ortigia. nous avons facilement trouvé à nous garer. Le logement est bien équipé et très calme. Fabio toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, Je recommande.
