We had a great experience with Sam and the overall stay. I had some last-minute changes to our booking, and Sam was incredibly accommodating and proactive in helping us adjust our plans smoothly—his communication was quick, clear, and friendly throughout. The space is exactly as described in the listing: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s a cozy basement apartment. All the features—from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfy bed and living area—felt very intentional and well-maintained. Many little touches made the stay even better, like clear instructions, fast WiFi, and plenty of towels and toiletries. The location worked well for our trip. I'd recommend this spot to others looking for a quiet, functional place with a responsive and considerate host. Thanks again, Sam!

My family had a wonderful time celebrating my Granddaughter’s 10th birthday, as well as Father’s Day. Nancy was a wonderful host who greeted us with her family, for a tour of the property upon check-in. The property is exceptionally beautiful with so much to do for everyone so was there never a reason to leave but it was great having the town of Grimsby only a 5 min drive away and the Bruce trail right next door. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely look to book again in the future.

The host was very responsive and checked in on us during the stay to ensure our satisfaction. The unit fit our needs, the building’s amenities were perfect for travel with youth, and the location provided many options for things to do, overall a wonderful stay!

Emily was warm and accommodating in every way. Her backyard garden was a private, beautiful refuge. Our master bedroom was roomy and the entire accommodation was clean, tasteful, warm and cozy. Her Victorian home and garden is beautiful, and had everything we need. I highly recommend Emily’s home as a great place to stay in Mount Forest.

Stonewell Farm is an absolutely beautiful spit. The grounds were beautiful and the home was beautifully decorated in a tasteful not cluttered way. The beds, linens and towels were lovely. The only drawback was the bbq. It wasn’t clean and it was very slow for cooking. It just didn’t get very hot. I would not hesitate to book Stonewell Farm again.

The gardens and creek were just lovely…the apartment was clean & pretty much had all I needed. In particular the bed was excellent- had a great sleep. Would stay here again, if needed. Wendy was easy to communicate with & prompt with her replies & very accommodating to my schedule. Thank you, Wendy!

We stayed at Kathryn and Gus’s place for a month and really loved it. It’s an entire house surrounded by nature. The property overlooks a small lake near a hiking trail. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Kathryn and Gus were great hosts. They were friendly, responsive, and had great recommendations for restaurants and places to see. We enjoyed relaxing on the cozy couch in front of the fireplace. We would love to come back again!

Amazing perfect location peaceful serene clean location was close to all amenities via your own transportation. Definitely will be come back here next time I travel this way. Enjoyed our stay!

Lovely and welcoming home in a beautiful neighbourhood. It was an easy walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. The backyard gardens were gorgeous and a perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee and afternoon sunshine. This is my favourite B and B in Guelph by far.

This was our second year at Carrie and Dan's cottage and once again my family and I had a fantastic time. The house is perfectly situated on the river with a nice beach and it has all of the amenities needed. Dan communicated regularly and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. This is a beautiful property which anyone would have fun at.

Jill And Chef Jeff are A++ hosts. They were very responsive to requests and inquires. Their property is a slices of heaven; quiet, and peaceful. Bird songs to start your day. Chef Jeff's culinary delights had us indulging in his masterpieces the next day. I HIGHLY recommend you working with Chef for 1 nights dinner. Thank you to this fabulous couple.

We stayed here over the May long weekend with a family group of 13 and had a fantastic experience! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably, and the property offered lots to do. Its close proximity to major stores which was convenient in case we needed extra supplies. The home is well-equipped for large gatherings, with plenty of beds, dining tables, and seating. Robert, the host, welcomed us with a cake on the first night—a thoughtful touch that made us feel at home. We booked the 7-bedroom option, which included extra sleeping space and access to a pool table—my kids loved it! The lakefront view was stunning, especially at sunset and at night with the Toronto skyline lit up. Sitting by the fire with that view was an amazing touch which made roasting mallows much more enjoyable. The large outdoor inground pool was perfect for warm days. This property is ideal for bigger families or groups looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

Would highly recommend! A very spacious spot with lots of activities and lovely surroundings. The place is very cozy with the wood burning stove and plethora of candles. Annette was very pleasant, responsive and accommodating! We had a great time playing with her dogs in the snow. We will be back!

We had stayed at another cabin on the property before and we loved it. Mark, Melanie and the entire staff were helpful, friendly, and wonderful! We will always visit them at Willowlake in one form or another. The cottage was so clean upon arrival which was impressive! The only possible downsides would be the dumpsters being right next to the cottage (however smells weren’t an issue while we were there, your patio is on the other side of the cottage) and the staff trailer door was really close to our fire pit so it didn’t feel private or secluded (but the staff were great so that didn’t bother us). The one downside that was a pickle for us was the side door entry. Immediately upon entering the cottage there are stairs going down to the kitchen. We have a four year old so those stairs were a concern but within two days we were used to them and managed to finagle entry better. Overall it was a great experience and they will see us back at Willowlake next summer!

This place was absolutely amazing. It had everything you could possibly need and want. We enjoyed everything- the qames, pool table and darts. We wish we hadn't planned so much so we could make better use of everything. Thomas was very responsive and went out of his way to help when there was something we couldn't figure out. We loved being there and will definitely look to return if we return to Toronto

We had such a great experience staying at Terry’s place. The home is beautiful, peaceful, and full of character, it honestly brought a whole new charm to my parents’ trip to Canada. They absolutely loved it and kept saying how it felt like a highlight of their visit. Terry herself was an amazing host, super supportive, kind, and always easy to communicate with. She went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly, and I really appreciated that. Can’t recommend this place enough, and I’d definitely love to stay here again in the future!

I had a great stay here with my family. Great area , very family oriented. Plenty of events always taking place in the community. The host for this property was always responsive right away and met all my needs or concerns. Highly recommend!
