This is a charming place, beautifully kept with lovely furnishings. We really enjoyed the well appointed kitchen as we cooked every day. The yard and gardens are beautifully kept, peaceful and serene. Oranges growing right outside the house! We were in town for a wedding, and Santa Rosa is right in the middle of so many enjoyable things to do. We hiked on the CCT out past Bodega Bay, enjoyed restaurants in Healdsburg, visited the redwoods and shopped at the Barlow in Sebastopol. Thank you Cheryl for sharing your lovely home. We had a fabulous time!

What a beautiful place to stay! It has everything you need and is steps away from Sonoma Plaza , full of fun shopping and dining! The host was so nice and everything was very clear and easy. We will definitely be back!

My family and I had an enjoyable weekend stay at Peter’s cottage. The location was beautiful and home was cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and I appreciated a clean porta-crib that was provided.

This was our second stay here. Our daughter's family lives in the neighborhood and this is the perfect location for us to stay while visiting. It is quiet, comfortable and just what we need. The yard is very cute and we love to look at the animals with our grandchildren. We lucked out and saw the planets aligned from the driveway on the 25th, as it is dark enough to view the stars without city lights. Don and Lori are great hosts- there are treats and fresh eggs in the fridge, and everything we needed was right there. We will be back.

This was a perfect location for our mother and daughter getaway! We were able to explore both Sonoma county and Napa Valley. It was lovely that the host provided great dining, shopping and vineyard recommendations. The home was well maintained and the outdoor space was a pleasant place to enjoy at the end of each day.

We arrived during a black-out of electricity. Cindy, our hosted, made us feel welcomed and assisted with genuine care of our concerns. We felt welcomed and cared for. The property was charming and it made us feel like we were truly in the country. Each cottage was detached--so no neighbors to listen through walls. Many thoughtful amenities throughout and the continental breakfast had quite a few options, including Oat Milk for those that cannot have dairy product. Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful girls’ weekend in Sonoma staying at this lovely cottage! The location is super walkable to both the square and to nice hiking trails. Everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

This cottage is a little gem in a desirable part of the city. The upstairs sleeping loft is spacious and well laid out with plenty of closet and drawer space. We loved the thoughtful touches like high-quality coffee, a bottle of wine, extra sheets and towels, and attractive decor and books. Host Johnny was very responsive to our questions about the heating unit and fixed it right away. Not a problem for the physically agile, but guests should be aware that the outdoor side entrance is maybe 24 inches wide, and that the steep loft stairs are necessary to navigate to use the bathroom. Overall, a wonderful stay with a kind and thoughtful host!

We were in town for a graduation and our stay was cozy and pleasant. The host was nice and accommodating. The house is very well stocked. The AC works well. Happily stay again.

We felt right at home; simply and amply appointed. It was surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom and easily accommodated four adults. The outdoor garden space was perfect for evening and morning relaxation. The sign of a GREAT host is how they handle an accidental (major) breakage. As guests, we were mortified. Diana was absolutely gracious. Thank you for your understanding, Diana.

Overall we had a good stay at Susan’s rental. She was very nice and communicative. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Large refrigerator. Regular drip coffee pot. Very close to downtown Mill Valley so you can walk into town easily. There seemed to be a few other renters on this property, and our rental was the very back unit. The walkway down the length of the front house was a bit tight, with 2 gates. It was farther than we expected to load/unload bags. Just a heads up - Parking was a bit tricky because this property is on the main avenue (Blithedale).

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Stinson Beach. The house is stylish, comfortable, and incredibly well-located—just half a block from the beach. Everything was set up to make our time there feel easy and relaxing, and it was exactly the getaway we needed. We’re already looking forward to coming back. We enjoyed our first visit to Davis in the Old New Cottage. The 1920's remodeked bungalow was bright, airy and in a perfect location to visit with our friends who live nearby. The decor featured a combination of modern and vintage furniture and art which made relaxing in the cottage enjoyable. The chairs, sofa and beds were very comfortable. We appreciated how clean and organized the house was! The back yard is a wonderful oasis with comfortable seating under a canopy of trees full of squirrels and was the pefect place to read with a cup of coffee in the morning! The fully stocked kitchen was great ! We would love to stay here again when visiting our friends in Davis. Thank you for hosting a delightful weekend away in Davis!

Second stay, and I would love to stay a third time.

Wow! This property is absolutely stunning. Private and peaceful, it’s straight out of a magazine! Just 6 minutes from the most beautiful hiking trail, Goodlove Trail and just minutes to drive to some of the most beautiful wineries! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

The house was clean and comfortable in an impossible-to-beat location. Plenty of nearby options for food, shopping, and endless oceanside hikes. The kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs. A few basics were missed such as a delay in check in, due to key code not shared, and mysteriously few bottles of hand soap, but nothing we couldn’t work around. We would stay here again!

AMAZING cottage on Skyline. Perfect for a few days in the area to work (excellent WiFi) and meet up with old friends. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend. A lovely and private home away from home.

loved this listing. It is two dewllings a 2/2 and a 1/1 adjacent to each other. The scenery is beautiful and close enough to town that gorceries or going out to eat is 5 min away. it was perfect for us visiting family in the area and this is going to be our go to accomodation for future stays.

This is when of the best stays I have been in. It was almost like a hotel setting but better. We were really impressed. I will definitely stay here again when I’m back in the Bay Area.

It was a joy to retreat to this cottage after a very busy work event. Definitely worthy of its 5 star rating. The combo of the hilltop location and beautiful garden vegetation made for a quiet, beautiful, and serene experience. Highlights included reading outside in the yard, hiking without needing to drive, seeing hummingbirds, a comfy desk for letter writing, great indoor lighting for reading, a well equip kitchen, great local recommendations, and Minie being such a responsive host. We also enjoyed a nearby AirBnB Experience: Dye a scarf with California plants with Auli in case that sounds interesting to you too.

We spent 4 nights in May of 2025. All the positive reviews are legit. The cottage is quaint, but modern and well equipped. Everything works and is in great shape. Shower has excellent water flow. Bed is very comfy and feels like high quality memory foam mattress and pillows. Elly was quick to respond to emails and text messages. Our schedules never matched so we never met face-to-face, but it was unnecessary. There is a cute little patio as shown in the pics and a BBQ is available. AC works great. We will definitely stay again and considering the high price for hotels these days, the rate for the cottage is a good value. Oh, and the fridge ice maker works great and fast.
